+ Pradeep et sa famille sont très serviables et on été très accueillant lors de notre arrivée. Le petit déjeuner est correct.

- Nous avions initialement réservé une chambre à 36 USD. À notre arrivée, on nous a proposé un surclassement dans une chambre à 180 USD. Séduits par le cadre, nous avons accepté, pensant vivre une expérience haut de gamme. Malheureusement, le service n’a pas suivi, et le rapport qualité-prix est extrêmement décevant. Il s’agit de la nuit la plus chère de notre séjour au Sri Lanka — plus coûteuse que certains hôtels 5 étoiles — et pourtant la prestation globale est loin d’être au niveau. Les draps étaient tachés, avec la présence d’insectes, et j’ai été piquée par des punaises de lit pendant la nuit. Il n’y avait ni mini-bar, ni bouilloire pour préparer un thé ou un café, ce qui est un minimum attendu pour ce tarif. Le dîner, facturé en supplément à 13€ (étrangement en euros et non en roupies), était très basique : du riz, des tomates et des pommes de terre. Bien que tout provienne du jardin, cela reste très cher pour un repas végétalien aussi simple. Enfin, au moment du paiement, la chambre annoncée à 180 USD nous a été facturée 180€, ce qui change considérablement la note finale. Nous avons eu le sentiment d’avoir été trompés. C’est, à ce jour, notre plus mauvaise expérience au Sri Lanka. J’espère sincèrement que les propriétaires prendront ces remarques en compte pour ajuster leur offre, soit en améliorant significativement le service, soit en adaptant les prix aux standards locaux. Selon moi, cette chambre ne vaut pas plus de 70 USD la nuit. À ce tarif, vous trouverez largement mieux ailleurs dans le pays.

- Bonjour, Nous avons réservé notre séjour pour 7 personnes du 20 juillet au 24 juillet 2024 au sein du logement Blue Mountain View dans la ville de Dambulla Nous avions réservé deux chambres : une suite junior avec vue sur montagne et une chambre double avec balcon, respectivement pour 5 et 2 personnes avec une salle de bain dans chaque chambre mais nous avons eu une unique chambre familiale avec seulement une salle de bain qui avait une odeur qui envahissait toute la chambre pour 7 personnes. La salle de bain, que nous avions pour 7 personnes, était répugnante. Les toilettes fuyaient constamment et l’odeur qui se dégageait de cette pièce empestait toute la chambre, où un lit avait été rajouté devant une porte. Cette chambre est alors initialement prévue pour 6 personnes et non pour 7. De plus, notre chambre était au rez-de-chaussée. Nous n’avions alors ni balcon, ni vue sur les montagnes. Cependant, nous avons eu d’autres nombreux soucis lors de notre séjour. L’hôte qui paraissait serviable et à l’écoute pour nous aider dans nos déplacements et nos réservations d’excursions ne voulait pas nous fournir les factures de ce qu’il avait payé pour nous en avance et que nous devions lui rembourser par la suite. D’autant plus que les prix qu’il nous a fait payer sont bien au dessus de la moyenne pour les prestations fournies, telles que des excusions hors de prix, des déplacements en voitures avec des prix démesurés, et des repas que nous n’avions même pas commandé à l’avance et que nous étions alors obligé de consommer. Il en voulait pas que l’on ne mange en dehors de chez lui et voulait nous isoler dans son logement afin qu’on ne puisse dépendre que de lui. Lorsque l’on a négocié avec l’hôte à propos de ces prix exorbitant, il n’a pas voulu baisser les prix alors que ces derniers étaient bien trop élevés.

- The stay at Pradeep's place was a huge disappointment. The owner, Pradeep, was not present during our stay. The morning before check-in, Pradeep informed us that he wouldn't be there and asked us not to cancel the reservation. At that moment, we didn't understand why he was asking us not to cancel, but upon arrival, it became clear. All the good reviews are related to him and the experience he provides to guests. Without him, this accommodation is a hole where you can't breathe because of how stale the air is and how bad it smells. We were greeted by his teenage brother who lacked any basic communication skills or hospitality. The bedding seemed unchanged, with someone else's hair on the pillow and dirty sheets. Originally, we were supposed to stay for 3 nights, but we changed it to 2, and I would have preferred to leave immediately if I had managed to find alternative accommodation. I didn't expect any luxury, but what awaited us was disgusting and terrible, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The location is far from everything, and we were lucky to have rented a motorbike and spent all our time outside, away from the accommodation. They have some construction work happening now, so both mornings we were waken up by the sound of drilling around 8:30. We paid $6 for breakfast, but what we received for two people could only feed a small child. It's a shame for the money we paid for this disappointment. Additionally, his brother behaved inappropriately, making us feel unwelcome, not respecting personal space, gossiping about us with another relative. When we arrived, he immediately asked about our plans and if we were going to the river, his whole attitude was so off-putting that no one wanted to be around him.

- Everything was bad. Even local guide who drives us there said that the accommodation is very poor.

+ The location is great, owners wife is really nice and the gardener is a great person! He gave us a nice walk around the farm explaining all the interesting plants. The AC was working properly. Beds were comfortable.

- This place is extremely overpriced! The room is in terrible condition - mould is growing up on the ceiling, the air is terrible, very bad smell! Ants are everywhere. Owner sums up all the expenses in notebook in Euro, not like everybody else on Sri Lanka in Dollars. Than he converts EUR to USD and he earns more! Breakfast and dinner was the worst on whole Sri Lanka, the cheapest products, just to earn more. He is only orientated on tourists from western Europe. Mosquito nets are very dirty and stinks. Bed sheets very extremly dirty, stains and hair all over. We asked for another one, wasn't better... That was our worst place we stayed in on Sri Lanka. I have been travelling around the globe for 30 years, never gave anyone worse opinion than 7 (usually 9) but dirt and big mould in this room is unacceptable if you have 9,5/10 in general (don't know why).

+ Not much. There was a nice shared “balcony” sitting/dining area, but at dusk rats scurry along the coconut thatching beams (host called them “mouses” but they are rats). The host is ebullient and energetically engaged with his guests, which is a good thing.

- Rooms had neither cross ventilation or AC, were extraordinarily minimalist, very weak wi-fi (but we were in a village), location was remote with nothing nearby (though the host will gleefully set up day trips), dining terrace required walking a mud ledge, crossing loose planks over a small ditch, etc. Room was not well maintained. The property is not attractive…there’s currently unslightly construction.

- Worst stay of our trip so far. Ceilings in room were covered in mold. Sewage pipe of toilet was broken so the whole room smelled terrible.

- I was really looking forward to our stay here because of all the good reviews and story’s I’ve heard but It was not what we thought it would be. The room is outdated (holes in rooftop/very warm/lots of insects who came trough the holes) and the host didn’t make us feel welcome at all (I think that’s the most upsetting about our stay).. We’re happy that our stay was just for one night.

+ Vriendelijke staff die ondanks onze last minute boeking (15min voor aankomst) de kamer op tijd gereed hadden. Lekker veganistisch eten van de eigen plantage. Leuk om een inkijk te krijgen in het boerenleven van sri lanka met alle comfort van de accommodatie. Vanuit hier hebben we safari georganiseerd naar Hurulu Eco Park, de tempels van Dambulla bezocht en naar Sirigrya geweest. Dit is prima te doen ondanks dat de accomodatie wat verder uit het centrum ligt.. Onze kinderen van 3 en bijna 1 hebben zich ook prima vermaakt. En zwembad was ook lekker. Verder hebben we van de oom van de eigenaar een rondleiding over de plantage gehad en een "sunset walk" met de eigenaar gedaan.

+ Het was een heel mooi hotel. Mooi ingerichte kamers en geweldige uitzicht. S ochtend gewekt door devogels die op je raam tikken. Lieve mensen die er werken en ‘s avonds hebben wij heerlijk gegeten.

- Voor sri Lanka vond ik het wel een prijzig hotel. Maar het is heel smaakvol en nieuw

+ Off the beaten track ligt deze parel. We hebben een toptijd gehad. Pradeep en zijn staf zorgen voor een onvergetelijke ervaring. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Het eten was echt verrukkelijk!

+ Echt een prachtige plek om te verblijven. Je kunt er tot rust komen, maar het heeft ook verschillende activiteiten. De kamers zijn erg mooi, het eten was lekker en het personeel is enorm vriendelijk.

+ Wat een prachtige plaats om te verblijven. Je voelt je 1 met de natuur, het is een oase van rust. Het uitzicht van uit de kamer was prachtig. De rondleiding op hun bio boerderij is super interessant. Ze waren ontzettend behulpzaam toen we aankwamen met ons zoontje die hoge koorts had. Zo een lieve familie!! We zouden het iedereen aanraden om hier te komen!

- Het zwembad water was nogal troebel… waarschijnlijk door de combinatie van de warmte en geen chloor.

+ Every part of the experience at Blue Mountains View is considered and completed beautifully. We loved that the property was out of town, calm, quiet and relaxing. Pradeep, his family, and crew are kind, warm and welcoming people. The food was delicious and the hospitality first class. Pradeep helped organise all transport and activities and ensured we had a safe and comfortable journey wherever we were headed.

+ Alles! De kamer, het verblijf, de omgeving, het eten, de boerderij(!), de natuur, het zwembad en bovenal de mensen daar. De boerderij staat vol met organisch geteelde groente, fruit en kruiden en deze worden tijdens de verschillende maaltijden voor je geserveerd. De volgende ochtend kregen we een farmtour van de boer/kok en die vertelde vol passie over het leven en de gewassen.

- Dat we maar een nacht daar verbleven en niet langer. Zeker meerdere dagen waard en om dan eventueel vanuit daar excursies naar Dambulla en Sigiriya te ondernemen.

+ One of the best places we stayed during our trip. Very peaceful and quiet. We had the chance to visit the farm of the owner, which was a great experience. It’s a lovely family-run hotel, and Pradeep, the owner, was amazing — always happy to give us advice and help us plan our journey. We also had dinner there, and the food was absolutely delicious! We recommend it 100% :-)

+ Prachtige rustige locatie. Super vriendelijk personeel wat voor een warm welkom zorgde. Echt een heerlijke plek om helemaal tot rust te komen. Alles is tot in de puntjes geregeld. We kregen een tour over de boerderij en met zonsondergang. We konden er ook goed vegan eten met lekker verse producten. De zeep was ook heerlijk, rook naar kaneel.

- We hadden de kamer met buiten douche deze was wel koud. Doordat de faciliteiten buiten zaten waren er ook veel insecten.

+ Best location of our whole trip. The room was very nice, and the surroundings were absolutely amazing—right in the middle of a banana plantation. The people were incredibly kind, and the accommodation even prepared a takeaway breakfast for our early departure, which we really appreciated. We loved the pool, and the guided walk to the sunset viewpoint was a real highlight. Dinner was the best we had on our entire trip, especially with the home‑grown vegetables. It’s a pity we couldn’t stay longer.
