don't recommend - especially the private rooms. Located in a building that is severely water damaged. Trash everywhere and it smelt so very musty. Bed as hard as a rock and you can hear every single little noise from the bathroom next door. Checked out one day early of my 2 night stay.

Not recommended for solo females. My experience may have been different another time but I checked out within hours as I felt very uncomfortable. I was the only person who had checked in for the night, shower had bugs and flies in it, noticed there were cameras in the room, he came up into the room to ask if I was okay, when I came back from the shower another guy was in the room suggesting I moved behind the corner for the aircon, could all be innocent and genuine but as the only female I left

The guy came into the room to my bed at night and asked. Was super scary. Especially for women do not recommend. Lights at the night are off and you might trip. Rooms clean, and location is good. Personal was nice when talking to you.

Die Lage ist gut, aber das Hostel an sich eher komisch. Geschlafen hab ich schlecht, da unten im Restaurant wohl öfter Party ist. Ich hab mich wirklich unwohl gefühlt, da zum einem „Überwachungskameras“ IM DORM waren, von denen nichts gesagt wurde! Zudem ist der Typ von der Rezeption Mega oft in das Zimmer gekommen und hat teilweise einfach die Vorhänge zur Seite geschoben, wenn man drin lag. Das „Badezimmer“ hat wirklich unangenehm gerochen und war eher semi sauber.Ich würde nicht...

We were welcomed by the staff and offered a welcome drink which was very nice. We didn't eat in but the restaurant looks nice. The facilities are low key, the private room is quite small and the toilet is combined with the shower. As there are holes in the walls of the toilets, one can hear everything the neighbour does. There was a very moist smell in the building, luckily not in the room. AC worked but we couldn't get used to it running all night. Very nice staff but we wouldn't come agai...

Good location and friendly staff. However the list of facilities is misleading. Towels are not included, you have to rent them. There is no washing machine, there is no dryer and the air conditioning is only turned on between 10 pm and 10 am. So if you want to come back to the dorm during the day to escape the heat you can't as it's hotter in the dorm than outside during the day. The pipe on the sick was blocked so the sink was always full of water and it was leaking underneath.

The dorm is advertised having a/c but it is extremely rationed as it is only turned on between the hours of 10pm-8/9am. I wasn’t able to relax in my bed and have my own space outside these hours and was told if I want to sit in the cool I can sit under the fan in the common area. There is no other ventilation in the room like fans or windows and made the room like a sauna until 10pm. These times should be advertised. Private room was located away from main reception. Room needed a refresh. People were sleeping in the downstairs reception area of my building. Didn't see anyone else while I was there.

Very nice location within Melaka, couldn’t be nearer what there’s to see. The person who welcomed us was most agreable and made it very easy for us to feel welcome. I had a private room, spacious enough, bathroom was great. It’s not 5 stars lux, but for the price, it doesn’t get better. I recommend.

Ich fand die Betten mega bequem! Genug gross und sauber. Mit den Vorhängen hast du schöne Privatsfähre. Das Restaurant gibt dir Rabatte und das Essen ist lecker. Die Lage ist Top. Die Moschee nebenan ist manchmal laut wie auch die Bar aber es hat mich nicht gestört. Kann ich sehr empfehlen

Bien située pour découvrir la ville, le dortoir est confortable, les sanitaires ont été infesté d’insectes volants un soir mais le jour en après il y en avait bcp moins. À partir de 23h il ne fait plus faire trop de bruit dans la pièce à vivre en bas. C’est paisible et propice à la détente.

I've had wonderful times in the Mamasita Hostel! Very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the hostel restaurant and bar, clean, and daily wonderful live music. One minute walking from Jonker Street, the Kampung Kling Mosque, the Vinayaga Moorthy Temple and the Chinese San Duo Temple. Dutch Square is a 5-10 minutes walk.

Everything was amazing, the location and the lovely staff was the highlight! the only thing you have to consider is, it’s an active area and you’ll here all the noises/music from the street around but with earplugs it’s no problem. we loved it and would come back!

Great value for money, clean and comfortable environment. Nahid service is excellent. There’s a welcome drink provided and additional discount at the restaurant/bar for guests. I have enjoyed my stay here and would recommend.

I reserved a private room in this hostel, it was great !!! The room was cute, clean, it ahead climatisation and a private bathroom, plus the bed was very comfortable, I loved it !

Not very social. The staf is awesome tho. Next door is a very good mexican food place. Would recommend

Das Hostel ist sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Betten waren sauber und sehr bequem. Auch die WC und Duschen waren sehr sauber. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nahid, empfing mich herzlich und war sehr hilfsbereit. Direkt nebenan ist eine Bar/ Resteraunt welche zum Hostel dazugehört, da war die Atmosphäre am Abend immer sehr nett und schön. Die Lage ist besonder toll und sehr zentral.

The hotel is newly opened - but it's definitely a best place to stay and very near to all attractions. The room was completely noise free that we slept longer hours than usual. Mr Nahid (receptionist) is super nice person from Bangladesh who frequently check if we need help he kept our luggage after check out and let us sit. A welcome drink from restaurant next door of the same owner was very refreshing. Overall best stay, this hotel deserve 5 star rating. We will want to stay there again.

Amazing location right next to jonker street night market. The hostel sells a few snacks on-site with a good living area to relax and watch TV. Their restaurant/bar next door was really good, live music and a great atmosphere. However the beds weren’t the comfiest, small lockers, could do with more toilets and showers (2 each) and the window next to the front door was always open for the staff next door to easily open the door which is fine but this is a big security risk.
