City Trip Hostels

Beds were okay and very private, the location was a downside if you’re wanting to be in Amsterdam, but that’s mentioned the booking. The showers did not drain properly and the facilities themselves were dirty as well as the bathrooms. Not much of a kitchen but there was a coffee machine, but it broke the second day of my stay.

One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in. Miles outside of town (my own fault I know). Rude staff, no kitchen and terrible amenities, amongst other complaints. Pretty sure a homeless person in my room stole my towel also. The bus is expensive to get into town (€4.5 each way) so just pay a bit more for a place in town and it will definitely be a better stay than this, you will thank yourself)

I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone! My fault i didnt look up the location to begin with but it was very far away from central city and nothing much to do nearby. Anyways, the first day was good and the worker was kind but the guy who was there the next day and last day was unnecessarily obnoxious and mean with everything he said. the place was way too crowded for the amount of people staying in the rooms and it wasn’t very clean. wouldn’t recommend for more than a day

Está cheio de percevejos/bedbugs!!! Estou cheia de picadas e cicatrizes que não passam! Pedi para mudar de cama mas o problema continuou! Cuidado

It was a trap hostels i booked online first they shown me you have to pay on 63 $ but as soon as you pay the amount they charged whole amount from my card 450 euros same is not refundable also when I has a word at the reception he told me that there is a locker to keep your big luggage but when o went to hostel there was only locker where you can keep your small bag pack also when I asked the manager he replied to me you can keep your luggage next to reception I did not slept for whole night

Even if you find a different hostel for a bit higher price, go for that one. Never stay in City Trip Hostels Purmerend. I stayed in cheaper hostels with better facilities than this. This is just a waste of your money, as if you go on vacation, you want to enjoy your time and a good hostel plays a big role. This is just a money sucking hostel with barely any proper basic facilities.

Staff were absolutely horrible. we’re too busy smoking weed to help sort out any issues. My belongings were moved without me being told and i came back to someone else sleeping in my bed. when trying to ask for help the worker was so condescending and spoke to me like i was a child even though i had originally paid for a deluxe room an downgraded to a standard room. had to spend 1 night sleeping in a pod with a friend as my bed had been taken and was told they were fully booked so nothing coul...

Too far from Amsterdam. Hostel to Amsterdam cost 40 minutes and 4 euros each direction. Amsterdam public transportation day pass cannot be used to get to this property which is located in a different. It is not in Amsterdam

Definitely not a very social hostel, nothing was very notable other than the womens showers smelling so awful like a port-a-potty

Very comforting, clean and beautiful. The stuff is very nice and polite!

Only real issue was the hostel isn’t very social. Also, it gets really hot and stuffy in the cubes with no fresh air.

Patrik from the reception was such a great help and made our whole experience great! The hostel itself is affordable, though a bit far from Amsterdam. But I would say it’s fair enough.

i originally booked it because the location said Amsterdam. It is absolutely not in Amsterdam tho. The hostel was fine and the staff was very kind but for all the people the it was just way too little showers and restrooms so you always had to wait for a while. And also: in the 6 days i was there, the bathroom and toilets were cleaned ONCE!

Una experiencia súper buena a pesar de haber estado solo una noche. El hostel súper cómodo y tranquilo, lo recomiendo al 100% si uno solo busca más el descanso que la fiesta. 10 puntos a la ubicación de la parada de bus que esta en la esquina y a los restaurantes a una cuadra. Tambien 10 puntos a los chicos de la recepción Tomas en el check-in y Mateo en el check-out súper buena onda ambos ❤️

We stayed at this hostel for 3 nights and I would stay here again. The beds are pretty comfortable and private which is nice. Since they are a pod style they can get a little warm but it wasn’t unbearable. My only complaint about this hostel is the bathroom situation. There is only one bathroom for each gender on each floor which isn’t ideal in the mornings or at night. The bathrooms were also pretty gross and always smelled like a porta potty which isn’t ideal. Well it is 10 cuz I cannot give an 11. I was actually pretty nervous on staying w other ppl that I dont know but it is really safe and sound. The staff were extremely helpful. Not to mention the cleanliness. Especially, during my stay Mathijs, hopefully writing his name correctly, was incredibly helpful and friendly. We had nice talk about football and stuff. Ho alloggiato presso il City Trip Hostel solo una notte e mi sono trovata benissimo, soprattutto per l'attenzione ricevuta dallo staff ed in particolare da Salvatore, un mio connazionale, davvero gentile!Fin dal mio arrivo mi ha attesa con una grande cordialitá, spiegandomi con attenzione tutte le regole dell'ostello e sono rimasta sorpresa dal fatto che mi accompagnava ogni cliente per mostrargli la stanza, aiutando anche a portare il bagaglio..(cosa che in un ostello non mi era mai capitata).

Estuve solo un par de días pero estuvo todo bien, localización, la limpieza y el personal muy amable, recomendable. Si vuelvo a necesitar un hotel no dudaré en contactar con este sitio. Muchas gracias por todo.

Matthew and Lola are great. Even though the hostel is outside the main centre bus 305 takes you to the city centre in less than half an hour.

Schimmel in der Dusche, kaputter Spiegel, klebrige Flecken an der Wand im Bett, sehr dreckiger Boden und Wände, Küche ohne Seife/Tüchern, Kaffeemaschine in unansehnlichem Zustand, schlechter Geruch/wenig durchlüftet, keine Aufhängmöglichkeit für Handtücher die groß genug ist, kein Stauraum für Gepäck innerhalb des Zimmers (man muss erst durch das Haus und Foyer laufen)..

Had an amazing stay here. Specifically wanted to thank saldadore one of the staff members there he was extremely accommodating and helpful with my stay so overall i recommend thank you!
