Summer House

I had an amazing time at Summer House! The staff was lovely, rooms tidy, it’s just a quick ten Minute walk to the Beach and they’ve got a really good Café aswell. The vibe is definitely more chill and not necessarily a party hostel but still very social and it’s easy to connect with people. All in all I’ll be back here when I get back to Ahangama in the future :)

Really nice place, close to the beach and lovely people working there. Great place if youre looking to surf and do yoga

I didnt like it too much. the dorms are really small and there are no big lockers for your bag. the sheets are a bit old and not as white and intact as on the pictures anymore. its a 10 min walk to the beach so good location. the vibes are good with the other travelers. for me not what i expected when i read the comments, but maybe the timing was a bit off

Wir hatten einen ganz tollen Aufenthalt im Summer House! Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, genau wie der etwa zehn minütige Weg zum Strand. Drum herum sind viele Restaurants mit lokalem Essen. Wir haben besonders den schönen Vibe des „Gartens“ mit chilligen Sitzgelegenheiten geliebt!!! Vielleicht könnten noch Vorhänge vor den Betten angebracht werden, die haben etwas gefehlt :)

Really adorable hostel with a great, very chill athmosphere. The owner and her family (also the whole staff) were super nice and helpful! Would definitely come again

Wir hatten eine richtig tolle Zeit im Summer House. Samira, Iranga und das ganze Team waren super lieb und wir haben uns direkt wie zuhause gefühlt. Die Zimmer und das Bad waren immer sauber und das Essen war unfassbar lecker! Danke für die tolle Zeit ❤️

Loved this place! Wanted to stay for 2 nights but extended for 8 and came back a week later for another week! Lovely family running the place, good food and very nice and social atmosphere!

Gorgeous hostel! Close to Kabalana beach which is probably the nicest in Ahangama. Away from the town but an easy ride in and there are some nice local restaurants nearby. The food in their cafe is amazing and the garden area is so nice. They offer yoga most mornings. It offered the nicest social vibe without being too much :) would definitely recommend

Wir haben die Zeit in Ahangama im SummerHouse sehr genossen! Es war eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, man hat sich immer wohl gefühlt und die Menschen sind alle unglaublich lieb! Und es gibt dort das BESTE Bananenbrot:))

Great hostel, easy to fit right in and feel at home here helped by all those involved with the place. It’s the sort of hostel you can see yourself staying for a while.

Amazing hostel, the kind of place you keep extending your stay and coming back to. Chill vibe but still very social, beautiful outdoor area, yoga space with mats and classes. In a quiet area but still easily walkable to town center, beaches, and surf spots. The volunteers, staff, and owners are all wonderful people. Highly recommend for your stay in Ahangama!

ich war 5 Tage im Summerhouse und es war mein Highlight. Alle waren super nett, tolle Voluntärinnen, es wurde viel zum connecten angeboten und auch als Alleinreisende hat man sich nie alleine gefühlt. Der Außenbereich ist super. Die Zimmer etwas klein und man könnte vielleicht über Vorhänge nachdenken. Aber ich würde das Sommerhaus jedem weiterempfehlen :)

I stayed for 4 nights. The outside area is amazing and all the staff is really friendly and always there to help. The cafe has delicous vegan dishes and good matcha and coffee. The hostel is just a 10 min. Walk to the beach and 20 min. to the center which was perfect and you could enjoy the nature and escape a bit from the busy main street. I would highly recommend this hostel if you want a chill but still social hostel in Ahangama for a good price !

Beautiful hostel

Summer House is in a peaceful spot off the main road, it’s about 20 mins walk into main town and 10 mins from the beach. The outside areas are comfortable, great for socialising and well maintained. The volunteers were beautiful and active in organising social gatherings. It’s more expensive than I would choose to pay normally, and I felt the dorms and bathroom weren’t up to standard for that. The outdoor area makes up for it

It’s very big and has loads of hangout spots. I didn’t find the place to be super social when I was there but I only stayed one night cause I got pretty ill and had to check out early. Location is okay. Rooms are very small and the beds are okay. Which they would turn on the AC during the day as well. Staff is super nice!

Really lovely hostel. Good location, good vibe, lots of shaded outdoor seating which is nice and lots of great eating places nearby.
