Bed & Breakfast La Martellina

Breakfast was amazing!! Claudio was a great host!!

About 5km from the main attractions in Florence, but easily accessible by a regular city bus. The B&B is quiet, and cozy, and Claudio is friendly and puts on a wonderful breakfast! The tower room was clean, with a great view of the Arno, and it was dark enough at night to keep the windows open to sleep looking at the stars.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Claudio is wonderful and the village of Giorne was a gem! 10/10, would highly recommend

Our stay was wonderful! This is especially true for anyone driving to Florence, there is a camping on the same road but the experience here was one of our favourites in Italy. The other reviews are correct for praising Claudio and his wonderful breakfast spread. We also were lucky enough to be in the village during their truffle festival. Claudio was a wonderful host and the property was amazing. Will recommend to all I know going to Florence and would book again.

Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Claudio ist ein sehr herzlicher, unkomplizierter Gastgeber. Überaus leckeres Frühstück. Tolle Lage und wunderschöner Garten. Genau das Richtige, um ausgeschlafen und erholt in doe Stadt zu starten und nach dem Trubel in Florenz wieder Ruhe zu finden!

A ridiculously beautiful spot on the Arno River, with beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. The villa is a beautiful retreat, with a pool area, hammocks and cute pets!! Claudio is so helpful and will meet all your needs. It is super easy to get into Florence for the day, with buses running frequently directly into town and the train station.

La Martellina is a must stay located in a quaint town outside of Firenze with a direct bus to take you to and from the city center. The views both in and around the B&B are beautiful being right on the river. Claudio makes an amazing breakfast that you do not want to miss out on, each day the selection changes!

Loved our stay at La Martellina and highly recommend to anyone staying in Florence. The bus is frequent and makes it very easy to get to the centre. The location is stunning, right on the river and waking up there felt like a dream. The breakfast! Delicious and we had a lovely waitress, an adorable little cat who made sure we had a satisfying meal. Claudio was welcoming and helpful. Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone who wants to experience Florence and the surrounding areas.

Une maison atypique au bord de l’eau, dans un cadre verdoyant et apaisant… un petit déjeuner haut en couleur, avec des changements sur les spécialités…un hôte accueillant, à l’écoute, parlant plusieurs langues. Sans oublier Mrs Daisy, et les chats.. un grand merci Claudio.

Wonderful staff and host with beautiful rooms! Cons: no AC and pretty far from florance. There is one bus that goes to the city that runs every 30-45 min which makes moves around a problem

Super environnement avec accès simple pour Florence!

Un havre de paix proche de Florence et accessible facilement via le bus. Une mention spéciale pour l'accueil et le petit déjeuner qui est fantastique ! La maison ancienne est paradisiaque au bord de l'eau au calme, jardin qui rafraîchit grâce a sa verdure et sa piscine. Le propriétaire parle plusieurs langues dont le français. Seul mini bémol, la clim ne fonctionnait pas lors de notre séjour, et en pleine canicule on a eu chaud. Malgré cela, je recommande vivement ce lieu!

We loved to stay at Martellina! It was our first stop on our interrail trip and nothing could compare to it afterwards. Claudio was a superstar, so kind, funny and helpful. Check in was at 15 in the afternoon but we got to arrive at 7 in the morning to leave our bags, have breakfast and hang by the pool. Breakfast was very good and different every day, and we did not have to think about the dishes. We had great company from the other guests, but especially from his dog Daisy and his other cats!

We loved our stay here and were glad to have this experience slightly out of the city. It’s beautiful and quiet and breakfast is lovely. We found the bus super easy to use, situated just down the road and goes directly into town and the train station.

We had a fantastic stay at Martellina! The B&B was spotlessly clean and absolutely beautiful. The bus into Florence is 30 minutes and every 20 minutes so a great place to escape into the Italian countryside but also see Florence. The breakfast had everything you could possibly want and Claudio was very kind and accommodating. If I'm ever in Florence again I will be straight back to Martellina!

had an absolutely wonderful stay here. the property is gorgeous and the transportation into the city of florence is easy to manage (bus!). a very relaxing, peaceful getaway with delicious breakfast and friendly hosts.
