Decent place considering the price. The 3 negative things I would note are: 1) beds were terrible. We shared a room (seal room) with 2 single beds and both were hard and even worse one was broken (springs poking and it had a bad lean which made sleeping very uncomfortable). 2) staff were not friendly and basically non existent. No reception or staff to help like you normally expect at a hostel (this is just like a shared house) 3) no atmosphere as it is just like a shared house for sleeping.

Really enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet and safe. Kitchen facilities good. Everything kept clean. Would definitely keep this as my go-to hostel - but its apparently changing to an airb&b.

Stay was okay. Room can't be locked; anyone can enter. Hostel gated but no individual room security. No toiletry space in bathroom. You have to put your toiletries on the floor. There are a few hooks, but only in the showers. Room had very limited storage, most of the drawers were broken. No AC, only noisy fans. No official reception, blunt/direct manager. However, it was pretty clean and the location is also good.

Lovely hostel. The room was nice and had everything we needed (stayed in a private room), however, it would get extremely hot and even with the fan on it was difficult to sleep. It was quiet, not a lot going on in regard to atmosphere and interaction. Great location for getting to the waterfront, and nice cafes and restaurants nearby.

My partner and I needed a place to stay for a single night and @nine was a pretty good choice. We stayed in a private twin room and while my partner's bed was excellent, my mattress had an obvious bow in it and therefore was extremely uncomfortable. OK for one night, but not something I'd want to sleep on twice. The common areas were tidy and comfortable to relax in, however the cutlery and crockery weren't particularly clean. There was no atmoaphere but we appreciated the quiet.

Horrível. Me hospedei durante 1 mês e ocorreram dois furtos de coisas extremamente caras durante esse período. Não tem estrutura de cozinha suficiente para produzirmos a nossa própria refeição, sendo o suficiente apenas para lanches rápidos. Acredito que as geladeiras nunca foram limpas. Adequado apenas para poucos dias e para turistas que passarão pouco tempo no hostel. Não é adequado para mulheres - eram poucas e as que tinham eram tão porcas e faziam tanta confusão quando os home...

I stayed here for two weeks. It started out nice and quiet and then filled up which was great until one older lady went absolute bonkers on us roommates for no apparent reason. She was screaming at us, cussing at us and made us feel extremely uncomfortable and not safe. The staff and owner were reached out to and did absolutely nothing. Any other hostel would have this person removed from the property for behaving like that and they just seemed to want to collect their money without caring a...

My stay at #nine was wonderful. The staff friendly and helpful. The place clean. The bed clean and comfortable.

Would definitely recommend ! It’s like a big house that you share with other people , there is only one guy that works there and is doing all the choires so it feels like a big Airbnb with strangers . And if those strangers happen to be nice you can have such a good time here! location is super and the house is clean! Could use a little update with regards to the kitchen stuff!

A small hostel for those who want to be near the action but come home to a quiet place. Not very busy usually. Staff are friendly but need to be checked up on to complete tasks, don't assume they will take your washing to the cleaner after you hand it in. When I arrived the doorbell wasn't working or no-one bothered to answer. I had to wave down a customer. The doors can rattle during windy periods, they need to fix this issue. Positive points: quiet location, with fridge and microwave, quiet neighborhood, grocery stores, restaurants and bars nearby. Negative points: there is only one employee and this compromises cleanliness. The region is affected by the LoadShedding policy.

Staff was not too friendly or helpful, just doing the minimum.
