Barao 35 Guest House

This hostel felt like it was built by an accountant - every corner was cut. 2 toilets for the whole place, barely usable kitchens were a disaster at dinner time, and the bunk beds were the cheapest creaky metal frames that money can buy. No curtains on the top bunk and not even attached to the wall, so can feel every move the person above or below you makes. Excellent location, and the front desk staff were friendly. This place shouldn't be more than your back up plan, there are better hostels.

Location was great and washrooms were clean and updated. Staff was friendly. I wouldn’t recommend for a solo young traveller as there wasn’t much atmosphere and it seemed to be very popular among older travellers (majority of people we ran into were 30s-40s). Lack of common spaces and social places. Would stay again, very basic. Good value for the price, and right in the heart of Braga

To be honest I checked out a day early simply because I didn’t have a good feeling about the hostel. It was dirty, the locker was way too small and only fitted a backpack, not a suitcase of any sort, the beds were really unstable and every single move made horrendous noise. In general I didn’t feel safe staying there and had a bad gut feeling.

The staff were extremely helpful and the location is wonderful unfortunately the facilities were all dirty especially the kitchen. Additionally there is no ventilation so the building is extremely hot and the beds are old and squeaky making lots of noise throughout the night.

Quedamos encantados, sin duda volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí!

Localização muito boa, staff muito simpáticos, o quarto é casas de banhos estavam limpos. Posso dizer que foi uma boa estadia.

It's a very nice hostel, especially for the price. The rooms are lovely and kept clean. They seem to have renovated quite a lot of the spaces which is great. At some point it might be nice to also renovate the upstairs shower and the kitchen. But those are minor things. In general great hostel, highly recommend staying there when in Braga.

Das Hostel ist zwar super gelegen und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Die locker sind gerade mal so groß das maximal ein kleiner Rucksack rein passt. In meinem Zimmer wurde andauernd die Tür offen gelassen und mehrmals war auch die Türe zum Eingang weit geöffnet. Die sanitären Anlagen sind viel zu klein für die Menge an Gästen.

One of my worst hostel stays. My headphones and charging cable got stolen, which is not the owners fault, they tried to help me. However, the window was broken and could not be closed. It was winter and I was freezing. I got sick two days after leaving the hostel. I wouldn't come back

The showers are the worst. You have to press a button to get water and it says 35 seconds on the wall. But I timed it and the water stops after 8 seconds. They don’t have enough bathrooms or showers for the number of people and my guess is they make it the worst experience ever in the shower so you give up and get out quicker. Even the shower head on the first one I tried hardly allowed any water out and no water pressure. Staff was nice and everything basic other than that. No breakfast. Meh...

auberge bien placée et personnel accueillant malgré qu'il soit peu bavard. cependant, les équipements laissent un peu à désirer et mériteraient d'être rénovés (salle de bain). Je déplore le manque de chaleur dans les auberges d'aujourd'hui...

Meu quarto dava para a rua, super barulhento pois fica em cima dos bares.

A good place to stay regarding location in the centre of the city. The shower rooms are good but only one per floor and I was told wait 3 minutes for the hot water to flow. A small kitchen, but not many people there so it wasn’t a problem. No lounge area of TV or games etc that I saw or was told about. The room I was in had 4 beds and was big and roomy. Notices saying be quiet between 22.00 and 07.00 were ignored. Poor behaviour by the other room mates. No need to guess between strangers what!...
