Republic Hostel

A little far from town, you need a scooter or a grad but really peacefull also because it's a little far from town. Everybody was really swert and helpfull! we really had a nice stay with all the dogs and the cats and the pool! The food was good, the tea OMG! Great stay, I would recommend!

Had a great few days here, the staff are all amazing and would recommend to anyone coming to Cat Ba!!

The staff were the best part of the stay. They were friendly and helpful, happy to assist. However, there was a miscommunication with the kitchen almost every time we ordered food. The room had dodgy air conditioning which dripped onto the sofa, and the bathroom had such a dirty floor from people showering which seemed to stay that way. Location wise it wasn’t awful, but far from perfect. Renting motorbikes was a massive pain, my friend had 3 different bikes break consecutively and they were o...

This has by far been our favorite hostel of our travels. We ended up staying for a whole week and still weren‘t ready to leave. The whole outside area has such a charm to it. The food was delicious and we loved the free breakfast. What made this hostel so special were all the lovely people working there. We will definitely come back!! 🥰

A funny Hostel didn't quite enjoy the stay but that's hostels sometimes nothing wrong with the facilities and most of the staff were very friendly. Found the location poor you have to rent a scooter if you want to do anything. I moved into the town and had a much better experience

Sehr sauber, jedes Mehrbettzimmer hat ein eigenes Bad, das Team ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hostel liegt zwar etwas außerhalb aber da man sowieso überall mit Roller hinfährt ist das nicht schlimm.

the staff and owners are extremely kind and super helpful - some of the nicest hostel staff I've ever met. Only con was the bed was hard as a rock. The garden/common area is really nice but right off the road so can be pretty loud from cars on the weekend. still highly recommend!

Aufenthalt war wirklich toll. Alle waren sehr nett, Zimmer war sehr sauber.

This is the best hostel I've stayed in Asia. The vibe is chill. Staff is amazing. It is really cheap for what you get and they have an all you can eat breakfast included (with coffee sua da). I can't recommend it enough !

I would definitely recommend! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is not the best but you can always message the staff to organize a taxi. There is a really good atmosphere, breakfast is great, beautiful inner yard and nice dogs and cats!

We had a really nice stay in the republic hostel!! The staff were really friendly and the food and drinks were delicious as well!! We would choose this hostel again and I would definitely recommend it to everyone :))

Amazing hostel. The place is very clean and looks good as well. The staff is amazing. Super friendly people who will help you with all you questions. Food and drinks are very good too. And, of course, the free unlimited breakfast. One of the few hostels where they serve a good cup of coffee.

Such a cute hostel in Cat Ba and super nice and lovely staff. The cats as dogs were a cute extra and the breakfast was really good!

We had a great time at Republic Hostel in Cat Ba. The owners and other staff were really kind and helpfull. My girlfiend was sick and they gave us everything we needed (fresh ginger tea) and offered us to get some medicines if it was needed. Which was really kind, so we want to thank them for this and the nice stay we had. The location of the hostel is a little bit further from the city centre. But we actually liked it because it’s more peacefull and they also offered motorbike rental.

I was there in the off season, so there wasn’t really all lot of people around, but was true for every hostel on the island. The owners weee super, super nice though, extremely helpful and even upgraded me to a private for free the final night

J'ai adoré mon expérience en cette auberge, probablement l'une des meilleurs rapport qualité prix au top. Le personnel était parfait. J'y retournerai c'est certain!!
