Domik Homestay

I had a nice stay at Domik Homestay. There is everything what I needed. Calm located but central. Helpful with booking some tours.

Good shower, good bed, good staffs.

Really enjoyed this hostel! Quiet, but fun spot in a neighborhood surrounded by locals rather than other hotels and hostels. Great seafood spots nearby. Family that runs the place has all the connections and can get you booked on pretty much any Cat Ba tour you want or bus to most tourist destinations. We had a great crew at the hostel and we all ended up being on the same boat tour! Free breakfast and coffee is a great perk. Great hostel that I hope I can go back to one day!

Such a lovely homestay. The owner and her family were super kind and accommodating and helped us book activities and buses. Definitely would stay again!

Good place

We enjoyed staying there, so we extended some more nights. It's located in a lively and less touristic part of the city, which is pleasant, but you can still go to the center by walking 10/15 min. Also very close to a great beach. The private bedroom is big and clean. There is a nice small terrasse and a washing service. After check out you can leave your bag. The owners are very nice and helpful :) thank you !

I had an excellent stay here. It is small, which leads to friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was good range of bread and noodle options. The bed was comfortable. The owner helps with booking boat tour which collect from the hostel. Highly recommend cheaper than online. Also book onward transport collecting from homestay.

Good location being at the edge of town and close to beach. Friendly, easygoing place.

I honestly can't say anything bad about this place. it was the cheapest offer, a bit away from the construction work but close enough to the city center, clean, comfy bed with curtain, the family is super nice and helps you if you need anything. You should know that it is more a quite hostel and not crazy social, but you can still meet some other guests, which was a perfect balance for me.

Staff are very helpful, location is good. Not too busy but still close to everything. Dorms were nice and clean. Only thing is that the beds were pretty hard

Super auberge, tranquille loin du centre ville (15 min à pieds) et à 5min de la plage. Personnel super sympa! Relativement calme, très appréciable !

Host is very nice! It’s still walking distance to everything you need in Cat Ba but away from the construction. It has a nice roof top patio. Really good value for money

The woman running this hostel is the primary reason I rated this place so highly, so helpful and easy to reach via WhatsApp. When a group of us were trying to negotiate a price for a karaoke room she was quick to answer what the typical local price is. I got a cold while I was staying here and she arranged food delivery from her family's restaurant in town for no additional delivery cost, allowing me to get much needed rest. Only negative is it's outside of town, but the price makes it worth it.

Einfach großartig! Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und kümmern sich wirklich um ihre Gäste. Sie gaben mir tolle Empfehlungen für Aktivitäten auf der Insel und halfen bei der Organisation von Bootstouren und Rollervermietungen!!

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt verlängert. Die Lage ist etwas am Stadtrand, aber von Vorteil: Hier herrscht weniger Trubel als im Stadtzentrum und die große Strandbaustelle ist weit entfernt. Umso näher liegt der Tung Thu Strand in einer kleinen Bucht. Die Gastgeberin hat uns herzlich empfangen, war immer erreichbar und gut gelaunt. Sie hat uns einen Roller vermietet und eine Bootstour gebucht, alles war sehr unkompliziert. Empfehlenswert!
