Arena Hostel Camp

The Location right next to the dunes and Omar‘s hospitality really make this place worthwhile. Tent is spacious, Bed is comfy, only it gets a bit cold in the night in February. Generally it is really quite, but there are some quads that you’ll hear. Omar is a really great guy, you can feel that he has a big heart. His berber-pizza slaps aswell.

Omar's Unterkunft ist echt einzigartig. Direkt an den Dünen gelegen, aber trotzdem mit dem Mietwagen erreichbar. Er hat diese Unterkunft erst dieses Jahr aufgebaut (daher so wenig Bewertungen) und hat sich bei der Einrichtung wirklich viel Mühe gegeben. Er setzt sich gerne bei einem Tee zusammen und erzählt von seiner Kultur und dem Leben in der Wüste, trotz Sprachbarriere. Er hilft auch gerne beim organisieren von Aktivitäten, egal ob 2h Quadfahren oder Mehrtagestour mit dem Kamel

Really lovely place. Serene and calm camp with comfy beds and spacious pods - Omar is a really helpful host. Highlight was the camp opening directly onto the dunes so you can just walk right out there. Shower and toilet facilities all good too.

Si vous cherche un bon rapport qualité prix, c'est ici qu'il faut venir !Je devais y passer une seule nuit, mais l'Hostel d'Oumar est tellement idyllique que je n'ai pas résisté à en passer 2 ;)Tentes spacieuses, sécurisées, lits confortables, espaces de repos à l'ombre, tranquilité/calme et surtout vue direct sur les dunes ! Parfait pour aller marcher dedans, admirer les étoiles et levers/couchers de soleil ☀️ Merci à l'hôte Oumar, une personne au grand coeur...

A true hidden gem - only been open 6mo run by Omar opening right onto the desert. Very quiet and very serene. Loved every minute - beds comfy, nice chill out area, nice food and Omar is super nice. Had the best berber pizza of my whole trip here. Definitely do the quad biking booked through here but don’t do the overnight camp (300dh) as it’s a tourist trap but that’s a whole separate company. Wish I’d stayed an extra night!

I really liked this place and want to come back. Omar is a hard working man but seems to like it. He helped me with organizing a sandboard, buying a turban and was very attentive. The tents are diectly next to the dessert. In there it will be hot during the day but one can chill in the outside tent. The shower and restroom are sinple but clean and there is hot water. I left my tent open during the day and there was no problem with it. With me there were only 2 guests. Nevertheless, Omar place...

I think it is the best location in Merzouga, since it is the last property, directly at the border of the dunes. It’s silent, clean, super affordable. Omar is the perfect host, who likes to share stories about the people and their history. Also, don’t miss the berber pizza, it would be a pity. And there is the view…mesmerising …

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Liegt dierekt an der Wüste. Das Frühstück ist super Lecker und der Gastgeber ist super Hilfsbereit. Über ihn können auch Touren gebucht werden. Die Zelte sind sehr groß und sauber und die Betten gemütlich. Eines der besten Hostels, die ich Marokko besucht habe!

We LOVED our time at the Arena Hostel Camp. We spent two lovely nights here and wished we could stay longer. The accommodations are simple but very comfortable and Omar is a very warm and welcoming host. Solar heated shower, so showers are better at night than in the morning. We also went on a sunrise camel ride arranged by our host. It was super affordable and the camels seemed to be well-cared for. 10/10 would recommend this camp to friends!

It’s the perfekt Hostel in Merzouga! You get almost the same experience as in a desert camp, but the town of Merzouga is still near by. Everything is clean and the beds are cosy as well. It’s already in the sand of the dunes and you just have to go out of the gate and you stand in the Sahara. Breakfast is also very tasty and worth the price and the stuff is really kind and offers help and advice wherever they can :) Don’t be scared of the amount of reviews because the hostel just opened! ...

Amazing view from the camp, right by the door of the desert, the host Omar is really kind and helpful. The breakfast is good with the best homemade olive oil I ever tasted ! WiFi is on the whole camp and it works well. Only regret I have is not being able to say goodbye to the Host !

We felt so incredibly welcome! Our whole stay was just impressing, the beautiful desert, literally in the backyard of the camp, the gorgeous food and of course the welcoming and heartwarming attitude of Omar and Hassan! Ive stayed in a lot of hostels so far and this one is definitely one of my favourites. We for sure will come back :D

Ein sehr kleines und süßes Camp direkt an den Dünen! Omar ist super lieb, gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit! Man wird mit Tee begrüßt und falls man mag kann man über das Camp auch Touren machen!:)

Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit im Arena Hostel! Die Zelte sind gemütlich und direkt in der Wüste, das Camp ist schön eingerichtet und voller Möglichkeiten zu entspannen und das Essen war immer sehr lecker! Am meisten hat uns die unglaubliche Gastfreundschaft von Omar überzeugt. Wir hatten tolle Gespräche, er war immer für uns da und hat uns mit viel Tee versorgt. Es fühlt sich weniger wie ein Hostel an, sondern eher wie ein Zuhause!

El mejor hostel en Merzouga, repetiría una y otra vez, Omar es una persona increíble, super amable y servicial, te trata como si fueses familia, las habitaciones son muy cómodas y todo está super limpio, la ducha super caliente!! Ubicación perfecta a pie de las dunas, recomendadisimo!!!! Muchas gracias 🙏

Zo dankbaar voor dit hostel! De woestijn is je achtertuin! Warm water, lekker inbegrepen ontbijt en de werknemers Omar en Hassan helpen je bij alles! Brachten mij zelfs met plezier met hun auto een stukje op-en-neer.

Omar ist so toll und hilfsbereit, er versüßt einem den Aufenthalt in Merzouga. Ich habe entschieden, nicht Mit einer Gruppe herzukommen und komplett durchgeplant und unter Zeitdruck zu sein. Das war eine gute Entscheidung, denn mit Omar’s Hilfe kann ich trotzdem alles sehen und dabei sehr entspannt bleiben. Er hat mir sogar sein Fahrrad geliehen um die Gegend zu erkunden!

Mr. Ammar's welcome was lovely. We truly felt at home.The cabins are literally in the sand. We woke up in the Sahara!He served us a lovely breakfast, recommended a camel ride, and provided all the information we needed.There's hot water in the taps and shower, which was very welcome in the desert cold.We really enjoyed our stay.
