I love this hostel, the vibe is great it’s very social without being too much. The dorm beds are clean and comfortable with lots of space and also privacy curtains!! The staff are also great, definitely recommend staying here 😊

Staff were really nice and there was a decent social area where you could meet people. Location was ok, about 15 minutes from the beach. Felt clean and the bathroom was nice

Really recommend this hostel, I would have volunteered here if I had had the time. The owner is great, he is often involved with many of the evening activities and he clearly cares about his hostel. Great social atmosphere, basic but nice rooms and well priced. A little walk away from the centre of Weligama, but it's nice and quiet at night

Nice, social hostel with a friendly owner. Location is a bit of a walk to the beach along a busy road, so be prepared. There is a semi-trained puppy present that can bite unprovoked.

Had the best week at the Fun Bunk, was originally supposed to stay 3 nights but ended up extending for 7! The atmosphere is great and it is a very social place, staff organise something every night of the week whether it’s an event, night out, family dinner, karaoke etc. gorgeous little puppy running about too which is always a bonus. Thank u fernando and team can’t wait to return ❤️

we had a great stay! very social hostel, its easy to connect and there are many activities offered every day. i really enjoyed the yoga class by carola. you can walk to the beach within 10 min and restaurants/cafes are also nearby. very nice & helpful team 🫶🏼 only thing: a new fridge for the guests would be nice

Fun Bunk really lives up to its name! It’s a cheap and cheerful place with an incredible atmosphere. Fernando does an amazing job organizing events and seems to know everyone—he’s super helpful and flexible if you need to extend your stay. His team is just as friendly and welcoming.I truly enjoyed my time at the hostel, especially the buffet dinners. While there’s always room for small improvements, for the price, it offers fantastic value.

I had the best time of ever in the Fun bunk, I was planning to stay 1 night and ended up staying for 7. The staff knows perfectly how to make people interact with each other in order to make a really fun stay for everybody

I had the fricken best time ever. Never do reviews but was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Best thing was just the vibe there and the awesome people working there (Fernando you were so caring and fun!!) There were heaps of activities everyday, very social and love the family dinners and games. Helped organised everything! Beds are so comfy and rooms are clean. Will miss the people there so much and will DEFINITELY be back!!

I really loved staying at the Fun Bunk. I had already been there before for a Family dinner and really liked the vibe. There's something planned almost every night, so it's great to meet people if you're traveling solo. Everything was super clean and the staff very helpful.

Perfect hostel I spend more than 2 weeks, I loved the people so much Fernando Chamath and Rebekka are the best. It is so easy to connect with people, nice chilling, surfing and parties ! +++ the food was the best of Sri lankaa

Die Atmosphäre war toll aber meiner Meinung nach kann man das 8-Dorm nicht als 8-Dorm verkaufen, da es ein Zimmer mit 16 Betten ist welches einfach nur durch einen Vorhang getrennt ist und es gibt nur 2 Bäder für 16 Leute. Auch wenn es in der Beschreibung angegeben wird, finde ich es nicht wahrheitsgemäß. An der Sauberkeit könnte auch gearbeitet werden.

Wenn man socializen möchte und lust auf party möchte, ist das Fun Bunk perfekt. Von der Einrichtung her eher so naja… auch die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Der Besitzer und die volontiers waren aber sehr nett, man hat direkt Anschluss gefunden und es gab täglich echt nice activities
