Generator Hamburg

I stayed one night and found the location very convenient since it is right next to the train station, however it does not seem like the safest area if you go out and come back late at night. My room was very clean and the people were nice

Ho pernottato in strutture GENERATOR che ho apprezzato di più. Il costo è un po’ alto rispetto alla struttura che ho trovato. Cupo e antiquato. Non ho apprezzato i termini di comodità/praticità la tipologia del bagno in camera. In sé la pulizia è valida, ma la struttura è datata o tenuta male.

bäder echt dreckig (klos 💩 und duschen schimmlig) und extrem in die jahre gekommen (keine lüftung, nasser boden). in den zimmern waren die betten (vielleicht auch nur meins, wouldn’t know) übelst laut, da sie aus stahl sind und nicht richtig festgeschraubt sind. bei jeder kleinsten bewegung war es einfach so laut. zimmer roch außerdem nach käsefuß (mixed dorms) und es gab keine möglichkeit vorhänge in den bunkbeds zuzuziehen, sodass man irgendwie voll exposed war. war froh zu gehen ...

Haartrockner hat gefehlt. Mikrowelle, Gemeinschaftsküche haben gefehlt. Toilette und Bad zu eng und Zimmer zu eng.

Sehr zentrale - wenn auch nicht "schöne" - Lage. Hostel ist DIREKT am Hamburger Hbf gelegen, wodurch man super angebunden ist. Man muss sich aber bewusst sein, dass der Hbf wirklich kein schönes Pflaster ist und fragwürdiges Klientel hat. Hostel dennoch super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die Betten waren gemütlich und sauber.

The hostel is in a great location with friendly staff and a great chill/social area. The rooms are very small, i stayed in an 8 bed dorm and it was tight. The bathroom was also tiny, it was barely enough to shower in.

Mein Bett war schon schmutzig und auf der Matratze lagen viele lange Haare, die unmöglich von mir stammen konnten (ich bin ein Mann mit kurzen Haaren). Leider wollte die Mitarbeiterin weder das Zimmer wechseln noch ein sauberes Bett anbieten. Stattdessen hat sie mir nur neue Bettbezüge gegeben, damit ich als Gast die Arbeit der Hotelmitarbeiter erledige und selbst das Bett beziehe. Als ich das nicht akzeptieren wollte, sagte sie: „Dann bleiben Sie bis morgen auf dem Flur.“

Habitación con baño diminuto. Parece una cabina de un barco. No ofrecen ni siquiera toallas. No hay casi espacio para dejar maleta en la habitación y locker cutre. Si tienes problemas con la maquina de los locker, no te ayudan. Si te falla el sistema y después de pagar 6€ por guardar una maleta 24h, no te devuelven el dinero y te toca volver a pagar. Además que tiene un precio demasiado alto por noche teniendo en cuenta el ambiente y la inseguridad que se aprecia en su alrededor.

Very friendly and professional staff at the reception. The location is very central.

Bed and room simple and did their job for a one night stop in Hamburg. Street noise and party music was a bit annoying at night and was able to hear loudest noises through ear plugs. Did not get towel that I rented beforehand, because they were out of towels when I arrived. Friendly staff, simple breakfast was enough and got lucky having only one other person in the dorm.

Never agaun, no go

The hostel is close to the train station and the staff was nice. However it was unclean we found hair and old nails in the beds! The bathroom was uncomfortably small. I could not wash my face because water came everywhere. It felt more like a hotel with dormitories than an actual hostel. Not a good place to meet people. But if you have to stay one night to connect to trains it could work.

Definitely good for a stop for one or two nights. Big room clean and confortable, nice bar and quite safe (even if the neighborhood is noisy and don't have a good reputation at night). It's next to the main station. Not a lot of facilities or somewhere to stay (except the bar and reception), the atmosphere is not really about meeting people.

Outside of the hostel is extremely unsafe, especially for two young girls alone. We met two boys in our room who we hung out with but we definitely wouldn’t have felt safe going out without them. The beds are comfy and the lockers are big. The only thing we all hated was our en-suite shower because I couldn’t fit in it and I’m only 5’4. However, down the corridor there was a big disabled shower which we all used instead, so wasn’t awful once we found that. Its right next to central sta...

Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, freundliche Mitarbeiter*innen und super Lage. Positiv außerdem die Föhnausleihe gegen Pfand. Allerdings quietscht das Bett bei jeder Bewegung und das Bad hat sehr gestunken nach verfaultem Abfluss. Zum Glück war die Tür geruchsdicht verschließbar.

l’auberge est située dans un quartier qui a très mauvaise fréquentation, pour une femme toute seule cela est très dérangeant (toxicomane, dealers…), j’ai payé extrêmement cher pour 2 nuits alors que cela ne valait pas ce prix là pour une chambre dans cet état. La salle de bain du dortoir féminin est MINUSCULE, mauvaise odeur dans le couloir et dans les toilettes. Les ascenseurs sont dans un état lamentable.

I didn’t like the hostel starting with the very small camping-like bathroom and shower, it’s extremely small and you can barely move because the whole structure moves. There were a lot of high schoolers with their teachers so I expect they were on a school trip, which was unpleasant for the rest of us. Beds don’t have curtains. The location is right next to the station and although it’s convenient for transportation, there are a lot of sketchy areas around and people. Staff was nice

The hostel was really clean and I felt safe! The noise was a bit concerning at night but overall had a great stay!

I only stayed 1 night but found the staff very friendly, yes the shower and toilet in the dorm room are small but its ok. The area was fine. I didn't feel unsafe at all and im a solo female traveller. Its super convenient with the train station almost next door and bus station opposite

8 months traveling, 20 hostels and this was the first one I had to pay luggage locker before check in. Not fair. Besides this, everything is ok.
