Go Yala Hostel

Great garden and location, did half day safari with them too.

Prima plek om te verblijven voor een bezoek aan Yala National Park! Verder niet heel bijzonder. Alles wel schoon en goed geregeld.

Very relaxig place, in a beautiful environment near a lake. I felt like already in the Yala park. I had a private room, actually a small house, very nice and clean. The manager is super nice, he showed me around the farm. Not a party place, but if you want to relax, its perfect !

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing stay at Go Yala Hostel! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was really relaxed. They also helped organize a safari for us where we were lucky enough to see leopards in Yala National Park, which was an incredible experience. Everything was well organized and easy. Highly recommend staying here if you’re planning to visit Yala and go on a safari!

Best experience so far, beautiful place and everything worked well

The best experience I had yet! Shenal and Bandy helped me so much, I'll never forget that experience again! The rooms are clean, the garden is beautiful and the whole Location looks amazing, right in front you see Cows, beautiful birds and other stuff. The safari was also amazing, everything worked well without problems. I can only recommend this place to everybody!

This hostel was such a nice experience. The manager of the hostel gave us a whole tour of his property, fruit trees, loads of chickens, cows and showed us where elephants walk through at night. Super accommodating and friendly, just a lovely quiet place to relax. Rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean and beds were very comfortable. I could not recommend this hostel enough!!!

Go Yala Hostel was such a great experience! The rooms are so nice and the staff were so nice and really helpful. The manager gave us a tour of the farm. We had all our meals through the hostel which was so good, local food! We booked our safari through the hostel which was so great. The guides knew exactly what they’ve during and we got to see all we wanted. Highly recommend!

Die Hostelbesitzer sind wirklich lieb. Die Farm ist traumhaft schön und wir haben erstmal eine Führung bekommen und sie haben uns gezeigt, was sie alles angepflanzt haben. Ich glaube um andere Backpacker zu treffen muss man etwas Glück haben. Es war einer der schönsten Aufenthalte, die ich in Sri Lanka hatte

Owner and manager was amazing! I booked the wrong dorm and he rectified and ensured I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Great host and beautiful farm, I booked the stay and Yala safari tour last minute (at 10pm at night the day before) and communication was quick and willing to accomodate. Greatly appreciated and highly recommend for solo female travellers (I met heaps of cool people and had the best time!)

The host is very keen on helping arranging any trips to Yala and other means for transportation, it was helpful and easy to make the most of the Yala Park. The location is great as you already feel immersed in nature and the host will give you a tour or the farm on the property. I would 100% recommend, don’t hesitate to book your tour here too.

This place is beautiful. Value for money is exceptional. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. The kottu that they gave us for dinner was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. The staff were also super kind and helpful.

Amazing new hostel, ideally located to get to Yala National Park Safari! I met the hostel owner who said it’s on his dad’s fruit farm and he gave us a tour of the place including the lake where we saw wild buffalo and an elephant at night (before Safari even started!!!). He’s also building a kitchen to run cooking classes using local farm produce so I think this will be amazing place to stay in the future.

My stay at Go Yala Hostel was exceptional, the host was great organising taxis to and from the hostel. Also the safari service they run is great they pick you up straight from the hostel and we chose the all day safari and seen 90% of the animals Yala national Park has to offer! The host does a great job in providing dinner and breakfast at an incredible price using ingredients from the farm where the hostel is located!

Le personnel est vraiment génial et les chambres sont super bien lit très confortable. De plus, j'avais fais le safari avec eu et je n'aurais pas pus avoir mieux

Go Yala Hostel is set on a peaceful farm right in front of a beautiful lake. Very calm surroundings with birds and nature all around. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the vibe is relaxed. The hostel also arranges Yala National Park safaris directly, which makes everything easy and well organized. Perfect place to stay before or after a safari. Highly recommended!

Very clean, well organized, and beautifully maintained. The host is extremely kind and welcoming!!! 😊 the farm itself is truly special. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommended it, would love to come back.

das hostel ist eins der besten hostels, wo wir in sri lanka waren. der gastgeber ist super lieb, hilfsbereit und hat uns sogar vom hostel davor abgeholt (billiger als bei pickme). er hat uns auch eine safari organisiert und später noch seine schöne farm gezeigt. um eine fahrt zum nächsten ort hat er sich auch gekümmert. die zimmer waren geräumig, die betten bequem und da das hostel mitten in der natur liegt, ist es dort auch sehr leise. wir empfehlen es auf jeden fall wärmstens weiter!

Stayed at Go Yala Hostel before visiting Yala National Park and really enjoyed it. The hostel is clean, calm, and surrounded by a real local farm, with fields, animals, and village life around, which felt very authentic. The sharing Yala safari they arranged was affordable and well organized. We shared a jeep with other travelers, had an experienced guide, and saw elephants, crocodiles, deer, peacocks, and many birds. Friendly staff, good backpacker vibe, and excellent value. Highly recommended!
