The Lighthouse Eco-Village is a place where everyone brings a part of their home. This very community centered place has many nice activities. Super safe and inclusive. Breakfast is delicious and the view is beyond stunning. It’s not easy to get to, but it’s definitely worth it, I only love Koh Tao because of The Lighthouse Eco-Village!

I had a fantastic stay at the lighthouse. Ironically didn’t see any lighthouses, but i did morning yoga with some people overlooking the grand ever expanding sea in the distance and I really felt at peace and very nice🥰🥰🥰. Food was also amazing! And the place is not even fully built yet!! Soo it’s probs only going to get better!

I absolutely loved this hostel on Koh Tao! One of my favorite hostels ever. It’s quite remote and getting there by scooter is a bit of an adventure, but totally worth it. The atmosphere is very family-like, not crowded, and perfect for connecting with others, especially during shared meals, movie nights, and games. The included breakfast is amazing, even better than in town. Everyone is incredibly kind, and the place is cozy with a great chill area. I would come back anytime!

+ Awesome view, interesting and friendly people, tasty breakfast and family dinners. I really loved staying here and will definitely come back if I ever come to Koh Tao again.

- The way up really is a wild ride but totally manageable if you go carefully.

+ The lighthouse was very remote and peaceful with stunning views. We stayed in a tent which was very comfortable and spacious. The common area was very cool which was nice in the heat to chill up there. They had a good amount of seating up there which was great as we spent a lot of time reading up there. The view was insane and offered an amazing sunrise that we woke up to each morning. The breakfast offered was great and it was nice to sit with the other guests and the staff. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming. They organised some activities such as board game night which was fun. The kitchen had a communal fridge that guests were able to use which was great.

- The only downside to this property was the accessibility to it. It was very difficult to get to due to it being very remote and the road to it was very eroded and steep. Many taxi drivers would not take us. The lighthouse gave us a number for a taxi driver, who was a very good driver, but it was quite expensive. We only stayed two nights so we just went down to town once to get some food from the supermarket. If you were wanting to stay there for longer, a bike was the only way of travelling into town multiple times. Due to the road conditions being unstable, we did not feel comfortable biking up and down the hill. We were aware this property was remote, however we did not know the extent of the road conditions, which was a big factor.

This hostel is amazing. The hostel is located on an amazing view point in the jungle. The common area is spacious and great for hanging around. The atmosphere is social, they have a few volunteers on a long stay which creates more a “family” atmosphere. Every morning there is an included breakfast. The dorms and the tents are basic, they offer more of a glamping experience. I recommend for anybody who is staying to be comfortable on a scooter because the road there is challenging

Felt like family ;) Espacially nice for adventurous people. Little hard to get there, but it’s definitely worth the effort.

+ The view is amazing & nature around the place is to die for. The sounds of birds, gekkos, small squirrels visiting the place feel really special. Bed mattress was very comfortable and tent was spacious.

- 1.First of all I don't like being pushed for removing (not even mine) honest reviews from the internet! My friend left her opinion on google after our stay and I was repeatedly questioned about it via Whatsapp and pushed to make her change it, it's very unsettling! 2. General lack od hygiene - kitchen is dirty, in order to wash hands after using toilet you have to use shower, the space used for yoga is never swept and dogs all allowed on it so its full of dog hair, the space outside tents to leave shoes has no rain cover do when it rains either your shoes get wet or you have dirt in the tent, its supposed to be Eco village but there are random piles of trash, shredded papers etc. In the garden 3. Breakfast is at 10am so if you want to go somewhere in the morning you don't get it 4. Morning yoga was always late, I participated only once because of well dirty floor which I didnt want to touch with bare skin but still saw the instructor coming late each time 5. Cold water in the shower

This place is truly magical. For me the best hostel I’ve stayed on my trip. It’s a bit off the path, which makes it harder to get there. But that’s also what makes it special. Surrounded by nature on a hill with an insane view over the jungle on the ocean. It felt like family within the first hours - with the other guests and the staff. Food is so good! I stayed for over a week and I’d stay even longer if I could! Be prepared for the road though. But it’s totally doable.

I had probably one of the best hostel experiences ever at this hostel! I stayed for 9 days and had the best time doing yoga in the morning, jungle hikes & the beach in the afternoon. The energy & the people at this place was a 10/10! Curtis really is building a beautiful place here, and Myo makes the best breakfast and dinners ever! P.S I do want to mention that this hostel is still a work in progress so don’t expect a 5 star resort experience. The road to the hostel is rough keep that in mind...

The lighthouse is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Whether you stay for one night or decide to keep the bed for the week, this hostel is phenomenal! You will be greeted my sunrise views off of the beautiful northeastern tip of the island and sent to sleep by the hum of nature. The space is community driven and seems to bring in the most delightful travelers you will ever meet. Breakfast is always amazing, and I encourage you to stay for a family dinner. 10/10
