Harmoni Hostel e Pousada

Very expensive and dirty, extremely small, uncomfortable and awkward. There’s not a microwave in the kitchen, just a fridge a the stove, nothing else. It’s infront of the living room. Just one bad room for 9 people is insane. The beds are not the best quality. The reception is inadequate. Not recommended!!! Waste of money and energy

J’ai fait une nuit et je suis partie. J’étais au 3e étage d’un lit superposé non montré sur les photos. Je ne recevais pas l’air clim du lit d’en haut, donc très étouffant. Il y avait des mouches et des araignées au plafond. Impossible de changer de lit malgré ma demande. Pas de savon dans la salle de bain, pas d’eau chaude ni de pression dans la douche. Propreté à désirer. Aucune ambiance sur place. Je n’étais pas la seule à partir après une nuit.

Great Hostel. Our host Washington was absolutely nice and he did well and beyond to make sure we are comfortable (although he doesn't speak English). Location is good as well. Atmosphere depends on the people though. So nothing really to complain about

owner was the GOAT. he was so generous and nice. he gave me a lift all the way to paraty as he was going to são paulo. be aware there a lot of mosquitoes in the room and the beds aren’t the comfiest but it’s probably one of the best hostels on the island other than that. could do with a purified water machine also.

This is a nice small hostel with a homey feel. Very social and everybody talks since it’s smaller. A bit expensive tho and when I asked to stay an extra night they charged me more the last night. They lock the door late at night so I had to jump the gate to go on an early morning run. The shower water was cold and I found out they switched the settings for that. The hostel was really social, it was really easy to connect to other travelers. The owner is really friendly and the location is good and easy to reach. The hostel doesn’t have a generator, so when there is a power shortage (which happens quite frequently) there won’t be any electricity until the power on the whole island is back.

Unfortunately this hostel is very overpriced and quite dirty. The bedroom smelt very bad and the bathroom was not clean and the bin had no lid. The cooking facilities were fine and the host was lovely but apart from that, I would not recommend staying here. Also the WiFi is not very good and doesn’t work in the bedrooms

Auberge bien situé plutôt propre, la cuisine est pratique. En revanche, le wifi fonctionne très mal et le gérant a été aimable jusqu’à ce qu’on paye.

Very friendly and welcoming staff/owner who did everything he could to make our stay comfortable during torrential rain and a power cut! Rooms are clean with nice bathrooms, although the top bunk (of 3) is a bit daunting!

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Jorge, qui a été disponible pour nous durant le séjour. Auberge correspondant à la description, bien placée, bonne ambiance générale. Je recommande.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr familiär und der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich. Mir ging es nicht gut während dem Aufenthalg da, könnte kein besseres Hostel gehabt ausser das harmoni hostel :)

The owner is so kind and really goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and welcome you to Ilha Grande. Main downside for us was how expensive it was (during high season to be fair) but then had no power during most of our stay meaning no air con, WiFi, fans, light etc. bathrooms could also be cleaner and no mirror in the bathroom was quite annoying.

Great hostel in Ilha Grande, Jose was so friendly and created such a nice atmosphere - very helpful with trip planning and also does washing for you! Would reccomend staying.

Best hostel I’ve been to. The host is one of the nicest, funniest and most helpful people I have ever met. He creates a fun, lively atmosphere in the evening whilst always being available to help if you had any issues. Facilities were great and a short walk to shops and the beach!

We LOVED this stay!! We had a great time here it was so social, kitchen facilities were good, location was amazing, aircon was great!! All the staff were the best especially Jose! We’ll be back, Mila and Issy xxx

Jose was an amazing host and made you feel very welcome. Great location. Regularly saw the staff cleaning the hostel. Would stay again.

Great location, and super friendly staff. Bedding could do with a refresh and bathrooms could be cleaned more often

Joey the owner was amazing. Such a cool friendly guy. I would return here just for him. Facilities are standard, typical hostel quality so don't expect anything extravagant. It was kept very clean. It had a good social vibe. But all the stars go to the great personality of the owner.
