Red Nest Hostel Valencia

I would definitely rate this hostel lower. We stayed in a 12 mixed dorm without curtains. The room was mostly old men which made us a bit uncomfortable. It was not really clean and the blankets were disgusting. The bathroom is really old and not clean as well. I definitely stayed in nicer, cleaner hostels with a better atmosphere. The only good thing about this hostel was the location and the stuff who was really nice and helpful. However, I would not stay there again.

Worst place I've ever been in my entire life, JUST RUN AWAY.

To be completely fair, I wasn’t expecting much from this hostel, but my stay turned out to be rather uncomfortable. Fortunately, it was only for two nights. The place felt a bit rundown, dimly lit, and not as clean as I would have hoped. The beds were quite squeaky — thankfully, I’m not a light sleeper, or that noise would have made it impossible to rest properly.

The bunks are poor and unsuitable for a good sleep. They rock and move. The better quality hostal has solid bunks that are individually sealed with curtains enabling privacy, from light or movement. The fact bunk moved when the higher occupants entered the bunk is unacceptable. I was unable to sleep properly.

el chico argentino y la italiana de la recepción muy buenos, pero se ve que el sistema del hostel esta echo para ahorrar dinero, te apagan el aire acondicionado y lo prenden cuando quieren, el olor en el hostel es muy feo y la gente que va ahi son muy raros, no fue una linda experiencia

WORST HOSTEL IN THE WORLD. Do not stay here. Had so many things go wrong. Lights blowing. Cold water. Scary roommates. Broken elevators. Broken aircon. No plugs working. Bathroom being painted = no bathroom on my floor and strong fumes which is dangerous. I asked to be moved three times and it couldn’t be accommodated so I asked for a refund and sent a email and got no response. Also housing scary people. As a solo female travel I was terrified.

PROS *great location *kind, attentive staff CONS *bathroom smelled absolutely awful despite multiple cleanings *the social areas (kitchen and terrace) were taken by refugees and people living full time in the hostel, so not a very welcoming atmosphere for tourists *quite expensive for what you get * no bedside shelf to put your electronics or personal effects on

Boys bathroom on third floor had one stall in it- for over 48 beds on the floor.

Okay so if you are a young solo backpacker I highly suggest skipping this hostel. The rooms don’t have enough outlets for guests and if you do find one, chances are it won’t be near your bed. Additionally, the showers are cold and run on a 15 seconds timer and then turns off. The hostel attracts a MUCH older demographic of people so my room was all men who were 40+. Additionally, there was no effort by the staff for group activities nor is the building set up in a way for people to socializ...

En el hostel se encuentran viviendo de forma permanente gente en situación de calle, lo cual al estar instalados allí, están todo el tiempo en la cocina e intimidan cuando entras, además que está todo sucio, los baños y pasillos también huelen muy mal, todo el tiempo. Location is great, as it is directly in the city center. However, bathrooms are super small - there were only two showers available for girls in the entire floor. It would also be great if beds had curtains, uppe bunk bed was a bit hard to access as there was no real ladder, only one step.

Smelt absolutely awful in the bedroom and bathrooms. Poor ventilation, the rooms were super stuffy and hot. Showers were bad. Only good thing is the location.

It was a pleasant experience, the room was clean and the staff were friendly. Location definitely the best part.

This hostel provided a comforting environment and cleanliness. It was in a great location! My group and I went on a walking tour with one of the employees, and it truly was incredible to learn more about València.

Appreciate free luggage storage before and after check-out as well as the free towels!. Bathrooms were decent, with soap provided in showers! Only thing is that the female bathrooms were a bit too close to the men's, and their doors were always open. Curtains on beds would have been nice. Staff was friendly, especially the Venezuelan guy. Location central. Overall a pretty good hostel, though I paid more due to Fallas weekend. Would recommend!

Great location! Staff is very polite and diligent. I stayed at the 12 beds room and all good (space, room temperature, comfy beds). Hot shower ... no complaints

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, finestre di camera che non si aprivano quindi ci stava puzza.

Muy buena ubicación. Lo que a mí en particular no me gustó o no me sentí tan cómoda es que había mucha gente +50 años hospedándose en el hostel, además de que en muchas oportunidades en el baño de mujeres me encontraba con hombres, situaciones que no me puso muy cómoda. Igualmente el hostel es lindo, muy bien ubicado, relativamente limpio y la gente te atiende muy bien, super amables y buena onda.

Poor privacy and dorms, had loud, clunky metal storage cupboards underneath which were difficult to get in. I didn’t use it but couldn’t help but wake up immediately when someone else did in the middle of the night. Beds were also unmade for next users.

Great hostel, felt very safe as a solo traveler. The staff are super nice

Staid there before, location is good, little crowded, but good value for money. Overall recommened.

The rooms themselves were fine. The bathrooms on the other hand did not have any space and smelled like urine.
