The Treehouse

The party was fun but that's about it. Very unmotivated , unfriendly, stuck up and entitled staff.

Super overpriced and also a bit overrated. They took 6 days to respond to my WhatsApp about a simple question on how to get there (I had to send 2 reminders and call) and the local manager is unfriendly (the volunteers were nice though). I expected a lot more and I really think that they should consider their prices and extra fees (especially knowing other prices in Nicaragua).

Returned to our treehouse to find someone else sleeping in our bed. Staff had packed up our belongs without consent since they gave us the wrong treehouse? We were confused/unhappy, as specific treehouses can't be booked online. Had to move our bags at 11pm after a long day to a smaller treehouse and search through each others bags to find our things. Staff forgot to pack my charger/cables from the outlet of our initial treehouse; brought this up to staff but nothing was done to retrieve them.

The Friday rave was really fun but I would not recommend staying at the tree house. The accommodation is very basic for the price. The food was good but some of the meals were expensive for what they were. 250 cordobas for pasta and a piece of bread:( there is like 8 volunteers there at all times so it makes it kinda weird If there are only a few other travellers there. Frühstück, Mittag, Abendessen (4$, 5$, 6$) zwar lecker, aber deutlich zu teuer im Verhältnis zur Portion. W-LAN ausschließlich im Bereich der Bar. Privates Baumhaus ermöglicht unglaublich tollen Ausblick, aber ist sehr teuer. Der Aufstieg zum Hostel ist sehr unwegsam, teilweise nur Felsen und nur mäßig beleuchtet. This was a lovely almost retreat. The atmosphere when the party isn’t on was very wholesome with a movie night, lovely food and really good value massages. Whilst the views are AMAZING, be prepared to very much be in the middle of nowhere, many scorpions were spotted!

I loved the experience of the treehouse! The staff made the trip incredible too. I could read in the tree house for the rest of my days!! The only thing is I really wanted to experience the treehouse but I don’t party. But in order to stay with them you had to pay for the rave. I wish that was optional.

Booked 2 months in advance, told 6 days before that there would be no treehouse party which was the reason we booked. Staff tried to make up for this with games and activities. Food decent, and reasonably priced. Rooms very basic and showers were cold and without pressure. Would not recommend staying in low season.

Everything was just amazing! If you stay there you will get so close to the people because you will hang out together for 3 days. Super cozy place

LOVED OUR STAY HERE, Omg if you debating weather to do it or not, DO IT. The staff are amazing. I wanted to stay longer. Book in advance!! gets fully booked easy. Once in a lifetime experiance in some way?

Honestly, 10/10. The treehouse is so well run, and the view makes the hike up the stairs completely worth it. The staff are amazing, and the two women owners should be incredibly proud of everything they’ve created. It has such a warm, family vibe while still offering plenty of fun and activities. I’d absolutely recommend staying!

Amazing atmosphere and staff, plus round the clock security outside the rooms to make you feel safe. Mosquito nets, fresh drinking water all provided, there isn’t anywhere to cook but the food is delicious and pretty cheap. So worth staying here for the weekend rather than just coming for the party

I think the Treehouse is an amazing property with a really cool design, we loved our time here! I would mention that I think they could be more transparent with their pricing for guests, I was not aware of how much the ticket or food cost until I paid at the end and there was no clear signage to clarify food prices (dinner was 350 which would have been nice to know). Also I feel the rocks/stairs up are quite dangerous, numerous people in our group unfortunately rolled their ankles.

Amazing experience

What a beautiful place to stay!! Cannot recommend this place enough. Not just coming for the rave but staying here is so peaceful, you meet such great people and the views are unreal. Also great food and great volunteers !!

10/10 recommend!! Don’t only come for the party on Friday but also stay there for the full 3 nights! We had a great time. You can really see that they have put a lot of love into making this place a wonderful spot in Nicaragua :)) Staff and volunteers are great!!

The place is awesome and beautiful, staff is really friendly, food is great (mostly vegetarian options), really easy to meet fellow travellers as a solo traveler. Good people. Prices for accommodation are fair and for food and drinks are good. They run it only from Thursday to Sunday and there is an electronic rave on Friday evening. They have social games and a community tour which was very nice. Overall highly recommended.

grand old time. ana and her volunteers made it a great time for all of us. one thing i didn’t expect was how much more fun staying here made the party. since you arrive with everyone on thursday, you create a large cohort of friends to enjoy the rave with. the hostel obviously really cares about the community they find themselves in. food was great too
