Course of life Alleppey

Rahul is a legend who went above and beyond to not only help my book a boat tour, but also booked my onward rickshaw and train for me. The vibe of the place was also cool and the location is perfect to get to the backwater boats. The only thing I would say is that the first room I had (private) could have been a bit better kept

The owner is really friendly and helps a lot with organizing everything. Good location for doing backwater tours. Low season - so not that many people. Room was humid.

Host and staff are super nice and helpful

Rahul was very helpful and made us feel welcome. He also helped us book train tickets to our next location. There wasn’t much of an atmosphere there and there isn’t a huge communal area to meet people. Also have to order food in because they don’t have a kitchen. Location is near the backwaters rather than the main area but we knew that when booking. The rooms were huge which was great!

I recently stayed at "Course of Life" hostel in Alappuzha and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere. The location is excellent, providing easy access to local attractions. The overall vibe of the hostel is great, making it a perfect spot to relax and meet new people. Highly recommend for a pleasant and enjoyable stay!

Had a really pleasant stay here. The property is beautiful with an antique charm, and there are multiple chill-out spots where you can relax and unwind.The room was spacious, very clean, and even had a fridge, which was quite convenient. A special mention to the host, Rahul, who was extremely accommodating. They even called in advance to confirm my arrival time and thoughtfully kept the AC on before I checked in—the room smelled fresh and welcoming.The staff was also very considerate.

We had such a nice stay, from the start Rahul is very chill and welcoming. The hostel is in a quiet area right next to the river. Very easy to order food or a 100/150r and 10 mins drive in tuk tuk to town. The tours were great, especially the canoe tour around the canals. The guides were so fun and friendly. Clean, spacious rooms. Rahul helped us settle in to a new country and talked us through all our questions planning the rest of our trip. He continues to help us even now over WhatsApp.

He helped plan the next stages of my trip and bought everyone in the hostel together through meals and activities. very close to the backwaters but didn't have a lot of access. only learned afterwords can take a local ferry to the sites. Also not a lot of restraunts/bars around. Staff was super friendly. They're independent and just getting started so support them. They have a location advantage over other hostels, just need to utilize it. great potential.

a very unpretentious and charming hostel with some of the most nice and genuine people i have ever met, simple as that. incredibly helpful, enthusiastic and kind.

This hostel is a great place to stay to explore the backwaters. What really makes it are the lovely staff who are great fun and involve you in everything. My only downside is it’s a bit out of the way, away from any restaurants and no kitchen so you have to order delivery to eat.

This was one of the best Hostel I’ve done in India I felt like home. The people there are really human and really kind. I really really recommend this Hostel if you want to have calm. They propose really good activities and cheap.

The best hostel in Alleppey! Rahul is the perfect host, extremely helpful chill and fun, and because of that he attracts and ensures a very helpful chill and fun staff around him. Really fun hostel. There was a really fun atmosphere and the staff do a great job of making sure you have a good stay. There is also a really cute dog who stays there. My one recommendation is to get a room with A/C. The non-A/C room is a sauna!

The moment I entered it felt like home, i stayed for 4 nights i wish i could extend but was on a time limit. The property is beautiful and is at amazing location. Rahul, Nicole and Bharti made my stay absolutely amazing ! They also help you book tours and autos in a really good rate. If you’re thinking of staying here just book it! 10/10 recommended.

Everything here was great. Staff are incredibly lovely and social. As a solo traveler I felt super comfortable. Just wish the standard dorm had AC, but hey it's slso tye budget option so I understand. Slept in the private room the second night, that was luxurious. Highly recommend this hostel! They also organise backwater activities (house boats, canoes) for you.

This is by far the best hostel in Alleppey. Rahul, Nicole and Bharti were so helpful with local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The hostel aptmosphere here is second to none, it feels like a real community, we would often go to the beach or cafes and restaurants with the volunteers at the hostel and other backpackers or play card games and carom at the hostel.
