Staff - lady with all the tattoos and blonde hair at the reception is horrible! Left my things in the doorway for a total of 30 seconds, she came and pushed it out of the way when i explained to her i was literally on my way out. She doesn’t deserve to be at the front desk welcoming and checking staff out. Do not recommend for vibes or good energy. I was only there for a night, showers were so dirty, hair all over toilet seat. Shoutout the Brazilian guy at the front desk, you’re the best!!

This place is horrible, they do not know how the clean and the window in the room was broken, it was very cold the whole night.

L'horreur. j'ai réservé une chambre dans un dortoir de 4 avec salle de bain privé et vue mer, mais j'ai eu une salle de bain commune avec 4 douche pr une centaine de lit et 4 toilettes dont 1 qui étaient en panne... pas de climatisation dans les chambres , pas de rideau aux lit pour plus d'intimité (photo mensonge)...

Le seul argument pour un prix aussi élevé est l’emplacement de l’hostel à venice beach. À part ça, plusieurs chambres sont sans fenêtres, avec une moquette sale au sol. Les photos que vous publiez ne montrent jamais ces chambres sombres et malodorantes, évidemment. Le petit déjeuner est basique, avec du café soluble pas bon du tout. Nous sommes déçus d’avoir choisi cet hôtel pour quatre nuits en Californie. Heureusement le personnel a été compréhensif.

The staff was very nice and always helpful! the rooms where not very clean. the common room could use a TV. But in general i felt safe staying there. I would probobly choose samesun again if i come back to Venice.

Does not accept debit cards even if back by a major credit card for "incedental" which is ridiculous given you can't prove fault when you share a dorm with 3 or more random strangers. Also no pillow was provided. No onsite parking will have to pay to park in a nearby lot. And yes also this hostels is located above a nightclub and homeless people sleep on the sidewalk outside.

Worst hotel I ever been to in my 2 months trip. Very noisy because of the nightclub downstairs so you can't sleep until 2am. I was very surprised and asked to move to a "quieter" room (which I could find after 3 attempts)....so I ended in a mixed dorm on 2nd floor while I paid for a female dorm (these dorms are on the 1st floor which are hence the more noisy). GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! While I was there I interacted with three staff, all professional and kind, two of them went over the top to show kindness and flexibility. One gave me a blanket when I arrived at 5am and had to chill on the couch for a few hours. Another voluntarily moved me into an all female dorm when they was an availability (was not available when I booked) Was SO CLEAN! I was very impressed. The 4 bed female dorm I had also had a private bathroom for us to share which wasgre...

Beds were nice, location was amazing and staff were nice but my roommate was really creepy and touchy. Not a super social atmosphere but if you need some time to yourself in a beautiful place right on the beach I would recommend.

Great place! Very clean, with professional cleaning and front desk staff. Also very friendly, and willing to work with me on my crazy travel plans. I travel for business a lot, and the only downside for me is that I can’t stay more than 14 days in a year.☺️

Next door to the beach, nice little common area, fairly social, liked that they had events. Staff were friendly. Definitely a good deal for the price!

Actually quite a good hostel, but really no social atmosphere to make out. Two of the front desk staff were rather rude, though helpful. The showers/bathrooms are clean and the beds come with a curtain which is always a bonus.

Sehr cooles und recht modernes Hostel mit super Lage am Venice Beach. Unser Raum war ordentlich, gut ausgestattet und das Bett bequem. Die Lautstärke außerhalb, war ok und auszuhalten. Die Umgebung ist sehr belebt. Das Frühstück war für uns mega und voll ausreichend.

Low Cleanliness rating for athletes foot I got in the shower. They need to change the towel 2 or 3 times a day. They also need to wash the floor with the same frequency.

Great spot by the Muscle Beach not far from Santa Monica and Venice Rainbow Path. Comfy bed and clean rooms and bathrooms. Not much entertainment and events to mingle but I’d stay here again. Better restaurants near the beach don’t go to the restaurant across from it’s expensive not worth the food. And the voodoo donuts is a waste of money. Nothing special but sugar.

Perfect hostel, ideal location, great vibe, great breakfast, good amount of space.

Love this hostel

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! The atmosphere was amazing, made some great friends and evenings were spent chilling in the hostel with them. Facilities are great, beds comfortable and with privacy curtains, so no complains at all. Maybe besides the homeless people around the hostel, but that’s a problem of LA in general.

Great location,value, and staff. Room was a little tight for 6 people. I would definitely stay here again
