Orange Drive Hostel

Well situated Well maintained Beautiful garden settings

Orange drive hostel had a good location in terms of being very accessible to buses and trains etc. however the surroundings were slightly dodgy to be around at night but that is not the hostels fault. The room was very basic and we had paid for a private room. The toilet is literally in the shower which made for little privacy and also soaked the toilet seat. We had a leak in our room through air con which the staff did fix but it was very noisy and not reflective of the price.

Staff were not very helpful, not really any recommendations or just talkative in general. Location is good and house in general feels safe but just be weary at night and in general because Hollywood boulevard is interesting. Also there is no really great spot for socialising only really spoke to people in my room or just walking past.

I'd suggest getting a single room if you can. The room I stayed in had a distinct odor. I decided not to stay the second night, but they staff were friendly and accomodating. They moved me to another room quickly on notice (I just didn't stay). The walk of fame and Hollywood area isn't what I remember it to be YMMV. Overall, the security was good but the facility felt extremely impersonal. The bathrooms were tiny (not sure what I added that, but they were).

4泊しました。部屋がエアコンの室外機に面していたのと、繁華街に近いので夜中も車などの音が少ししました。これは部屋次第かも。この立地を考えると十分静か。テラスで朝食を取れるしキッチンも冷蔵庫も広さは十分。共有スペースが広いとしばらく滞在するとか助かります。スーパーは近いし全体的にかなりいい宿です！

I’m confused by all the great reviews, because I found this place disappointing. The outside is nice but everything inside is funky and old. The dorm room had beds that were very difficult to climb up, with thin pillows and cheap bedding. They felt like children’s bunk beds. Guests seemed to live there long term. The indoor common areas had uncomfortable chairs and didn’t feel like they were meant to be used. They charged me six dollars for laundry detergent—my next hostel it was fifty c...

Great hostel if you want a quiet time to relax. Not very social, but great location and very quiet. The bed did however give me some sort of bug bites, not sure if bed bugs but something definitely.

It was an ok place to stay. Doesn’t really feel Like a hostel and is not very social. But if all you need is a place to sleep and be close to everything in Hollywood, this is a decent place.

For a hostel on the more expensive side, I feel like we shouldn't have to make our own beds. The place was pretty clean but definitely not a social hostel, very quiet. It was an okay place to stay over all. Wish they had a place to put your tioletteries & such in the bathroom with the sink, like a shelf. Probably won't stay here again but it's an alright place & secure to stay in for a couple nights.

Muy buena atención por parte del personal, la ubicación es inigualable. Sin embargo, las instalaciones ya son antiguas y tiene un olor particularmente a madera vieja. En el segundo día nos encontramos con una cucaracha en nuestra habitación, el personal amablemente nos cambió de habitación, por esa parte considero que su atención es buena. Renté una habitación con dos camas y un baño privado, los espacios son reducidos, pero en general están bien.

It is in a very good location.Super walkable to transit and points of interest. WiFi was not working at time of check-in but was quickly fixed.

I’m in LA attending a film festival, and I have stayed at the Orange Drive Hostel before, and if I’m back for next year’s festival, I will stay here again. This is my first time in an en suite room, but have shared bathrooms in past years. I think the sink in this one may be a little narrower, so you need to put the bath mat down in front of it, to keep water off the floor. The bed was comfortable

Loved the old school vibe and staff was friendly - shout out Kyle. However maintenance work would go on during the early mornings which was disturbing. Other than that, 10/10.

Such as good location! Super close to metro, walk of fame, and target. While its close to the craziness of walk of fame, it was so quiet. The patio was amazing to wat dinner, have a coffee and just chill. Super clean hostel, with housekeeping daily. 100% reccommend it.

Wonderful! Clean / Nice Staffs / Good vibe. - They solved any inquiry ASAP. At first, the room was cold, so I told it to a staff, and he brought hitter and solved it right away. - Even though I pay it by card, they don't have any additional charge or hidden cost(this should be normal but some hostels, they asked additional charge when I pay by card).

Perfect Hostel for a short stay in Los Angeles. Very close to metro and hop on hop off bus. Old but refurbished boarding house with atmosphere. Everything clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Really enjoyed my stay here! I booked a private room with shared bathroom and not only were the staff attentive and friendly, the room was very clean! I'm a budget traveller and I usually stay at cheap motels and I can confidently say that I prefer here over any motel. The location next to the Metro B line was perfect and I loved that there were so many places to eat nearby. I felt safe in the area, even at night.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour au Orange Drive. Si je voulais faire une seule suggestion c’est d’avoir un petit espace pour prendre nos repas sur des petites tables et quelques places pour flâner. Pour le reste, rien à dire, tout est parfait!

¡Me encanta Orange Drive Hostel! Es mi casa en LA --- cada que voy a LA voy a Orange. Me gusta mucho su ubicación (justo detrás del teatro chino) a una calle del Hollywood Blvd, a una estación de metro de Universal Studios, puedes entrar y salir cuando gustes. Pedro de la recepción super amable, es un lugar tanquilo, seguro... Cada que vaya a LA es mi primera opción.

Such a fabulous place!! Really enjoyed learning about the history and having an affordable place in an excellent location.

Had an amazing stay at Orange Drive, all thanks to the wonderful staff working there who assisted me greatly. Everything you need for a hostel in Hollywood is here - perfect location, incredibly secure, clean and nice bathrooms, comfy beds, and really quite a beautiful building. I seldom give a full 10 to anything or anyone, but the Orange Dr Hostel deserves it. It is located a block from Hollywood Blvd. If you get bored then just walk down the street. It is made from an old house, so it is very comfortable. They offer a kitchen and a place to buy groceries around the corner. The staff is very accommadating. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
