+ Very chill place with two big courtyards. Close to everything in central Xela. Easy to get the chicken bus to Zunil around the corner.
- Couldn't lock the (private) room door from inside so at night sleep with it unlocked - as a solo female would prefer some way of being able to close esp as the common areas are near to the room.
This place is in walking distance to the main parque with lots of stuff to explore. What made my day was the tip of a staff member to go to Agua Amarguas (instead of the more popular and more expensive Georgina’s Fuentes thermales). I liked the local atmosphere there a lot. The hostel has a little kitchen, small cosy yard and it is also used by people going on hiking tours.
Cheap, but not cheerful. I did not like this place and would not stay again. It was a strange atmosphere, and the room was very strange and could not lock the door properly from the inside (we were given a padlock for the outside door). Not sure why it has such a high rating
Honestly can’t fault it! Loved this hostel. It is like an old charming house with plenty of character. Good kitchen and outdoor + indoor common areas. Well-located, calm and quiet (when the music from Kasa Kiwi dies down). Would absolutely stay again.

Really beautiful hostel, very chill and nice vibes. Stayed here just one night but had a great sleep and really enjoyed it here will definitely return again.

+ Central location, open area to sit outside, living room,clean shared kitchen. Reasonably priced.
- I did not find the atmosphere very cheerful/pleasant. Perhaps also because of the weather, it all seemed a bit dark and cold. Anonymous. The room itself was dark and basic, with only tiny Windows that you can not open.
Great place, clean great staff. A bit of a backpacker hang out - would have been great to see more locals…but it was perfect for what it was. Thanks for a great stay guys
Solid hostel to stay in Xela. Not dorm style rooms but everything else is as you would expect and good value for the price
Good hostel, only stayed there for one night before the Quezeltreker hike to Lake Atitlan so was a good place to meet people before that were also doing it. Comfortable bed, good bathrooms and friendly staff. Only thing is no lockers in the room but you could use ones by reception. Super good value, felt safe and comfortable.

Great location, good kitchen, nice living room and cosy courtyard. Internet also worked perfectly all the time, for those who need to work remotely. Comfortable beds and big cabinets to store your stuff. The volunteer Daf was very helpful and kind, and so were Irma (forgive if I'm misspelling your name), Javier and Luz. The only thing I would suggest to improve would be the water pressure in the showers, but it's not a problem for short stay. I'd definitely recommend booking it here!

+ Habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr freundliches Personal! Es war sauber, wunderschöner Innenhof, gutes Internet. Eine gute Küche die auch immer sauber war. Badezimmer sauber. Auch die Lage ist top und man ist in wenigen Minuten am Central Plaza
- 2 Badezimmer sind etwas wenig aber ich musste nie warten. Geht sich also gut aus :) Wenn nebenan Karaoke ist, ist es etwas laut aber zum Glück hören die Punkt 22.00 Uhr auf ;)
Amazing hostel! really comfy and warm beds. the manager and volunteers were really cool. some noise from the road from around 7am, but very quiet between 11pm-7am. good kitchen facilities. great outdoor areas to lay in the sun.
