This hostel gave me the ick, there were so many people coming in and out my room I did not really feel that safe, I saw no staff and it was just not that welcoming, the place was clean enough and the location was great but it is not a good place to make friends, it seem like people just booked it last minute to sleep off their alcohol.

Didn’t stay, the night. Whilst I wanted central location, staff were helpful on arrival and bed sheets were clean. The room itself wasn’t clean, and there was no air conditioning so couldn’t keep windows closed. And Matthew street on Sunday night is like worst Karaoke night, competing bars and music venues. I’d ideally like a full refund. Given overall rating had expected good quality hostel. Will not be back.

The room is SUPER hot. I'm in a room of long shape, the air doesn't usually come in. and the windows are only half open, which made things worse. We can't open the window to full to block the birds. I'm sweating all over for the whole night, couldn't sleep at all.

An extremely noisy place where you can't rest. The music from outside definitely doesn't let you sleep. The staff urgently needs a course on how to care for and serve guests, they are inattentive and don't solve anything. To make matters worse, they don't allow you to use the facilities and common areas and they send you to your room, with the aim of doing less. I definitely don't recommend this place. If you don't want to spend an unpleasant time, look for other options.

I've meditated on what made this an experience that I wish to avoid again at all costs. Now the tinnitus has subsided I recognise it to be the staff. It is simply not acceptable to be supplied a code to enter the hostel at nighttime that doesn't work and be told 'we're not managers, we're in the same boat as you'. Clearly you are not in same the boat but if you were I would vacate it and take my chances in the sea. Security was abysmal. They charge for tampons. And the luggage room. Stay away.

Durring my stay I ended up in a room with young school ages girls. There was no atmosphere at the hostel and I was woken every morning by the female cleaner yelling at the other staff. It was being renovated while I was there and was also not informed of this prior so lacked a lot of facilities

This hostel is literally a construction site! No warning by the hostel prior to arrival at all! It is said to continue for the next month so mid-end of August. The main Common area was closed and the bar that was open felt like sitting in a construction site and you could constantly hear the construction. I would have appreciated some warning about the mass construction occurring prior to my arrival aswell as the closed social area. Because I probably would have stayed elsewhere if I knew.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL!!! The noise from the street at night was absolutely ridiculous due to the night clubs directly across the street making it impossible to sleep. It was like there was a DJ in our room, and this was advertised nowhere on the booking page. Also, the 6-person private room was TINY and absolutely did not match advertised photos. We took turns standing up. The only explanation for the good reviews are that they were written by the con artist owners of this place. HORRIBL...

El hostel es demasiado sucio. No hay mantenimiento de las instalaciones generales. Cuando llegue, el baño de mi habitación era un asco, las sábanas y las camas estaban sucias. Mi roomate era desagradable, dejo comida tirada en el piso y paseaba semidesnudo por la habitación. El hostel está en pleno centro y las habitaciones son muy ruidosas hasta las 4am. Decidí no terminar mi estadía ahí, me fui a otro hotel. No lo recomiendo, por un poco más de dinero se puede ir a un hotel/host...

The location was good but really noisy, windows didn’t really close and the room was quite dirty and there was. No lockers for everyone. Staff wasn’t polite with us either. Our experience was bad overall.

Perfect location in Liverpool, I had a bit of a problem in my room, but the staff at the bar were really quick to respond and sorted it out straight away! Thanks to them :) Nothing to complain about it was a great stay

Great location, could be a super fun vibe - attended during the week so it was super dead, but overall very clean, safe and solid hostel to stay in! Only downside is that you do have to pay for luggage storage … but I might’ve missed this in the property details!

Rooms/facilities were great, exactly as advertised. Only issue I had was there didn't seem to be even a single member of staff on night duty. A fire alarm went off, so all the guests congregated outside, and no one came to tell us it was safe to go back in, or if full evacuation was necessary etc. We all eventually went back in when the alarm stopped, but we're left uncertain of whether the issue was resolved, which just strikes me as very unsafe.

Great hostel with an unbeatable location.

The main problem of this hostel is the lack of staff and the need to do everything with your phone There is no reception when you arrive. I was lost for a few minutes The room was good and I was lucky to have only 3 people in a room for 8 so the experience was good Location is perfect

Such a good hostel with great vibes. Lift was broken which was a bummer but the staff were great and helped me bring my stuff up

Overall a good place to stay. Convenient and well located. She share bedroom is quite spacious. Some noise in the street on weekends but not this is normal as it’s located in a very animated steer.

It's a really great localization. The place is clean, the dorms and toilets are clean, the bed is comfy. the only thing that could improve is that the check-in is done online, and it's quite difficult, and there's no reception. But I would come back there in other travels!

I had a brilliant stay here and will deffo be coming back. The staff were really friendly and helpful when I arrived sending over my key details which made life so much easier. Looking forward to coming again soon

This hostel is not "backpacker" at all. By that I mean a place where solo travellers could meet other solo travellers. You can't run a hostel and a bar at the same time. All hostels should have a self-catering kitchen and no bar. Otherwise it's very expensive.

Excellent value. Booked a private with an en suite. Large room, 2 beds + bunk. Toilet & shower were very clean. Beds were quite comfy. Staff was wonderful & the wood fired pizza was delicious.

Hostel muito bem localizado, literalmente na Matthew Street onde você acha vários pubs pra sair à noite.

I picked this hostel for the location — right in the heart of the cavern quarter. I went on a weekend so I knew there would be a lively environment outside. That being said bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to music into the late hours. I enjoyed it. The rooms are small but it’s perfect for a solo traveler like me. Only thing is I wish there were curtains on the beds but overall I enjoyed. If I return to Liverpool I will book again!

Can't complain - I stayed during Labour conference and it was clean and convenient!

Decent place for a cheap stay right in the centre of Liverpool everything was up to standard dorms were clean too

Overslept by 30 minutes. By 11:30am I had two housekeeper girls wake me up, shouting and throwing s*** at me. No, I was not drunk, and me and my bed were clean. Is this how things are usually done in England? That was the only interaction I had with anybody there and I have to rate the hostel accordingly. Recommending to the owners to tell the girls to take chill pills.

Our room was absolutely boiling. The fans did nothing and there was 0 ventilation, it was only 14 degrees outside so I can’t imagine how hot it would get if it was any warmer. The location was really good.
