The Hostel is okay. It is clean and close to the center. Let’s say it’s not the best hostel but it is cheap and gives you a bed close to all the activities. The one big problem is that they had no storage that you could lock (they were all broken) which for a hostel is a really big downside. Let’s say it does the work you would want a hostel to do.
The hostel has a beautiful garden and has perfect location by the beach. I was a bit disappointed with the room to be honest. the room smells super humid and when I arrived there were about 30 mosquitoes in the room. The wifi only worked for 1 of the 3 days I was there and as there is no service in tortuguero this was inconvenient.
Der Kühlschrank schimmelt, sehr eklig. Einfach mal die Kühlschranktüre putzen? Die Kissen riechen muffig, der Bezug war sauber denke es liegt an dem Kisseninhalt. Die Lage ist super und der Garten ist toll :) Die Touren sind wo anders günstiger.
The cooler is moldy, very disgusting. Just clean the cooler? The pillows smell muffed, the reference was clean I think it's the pillow contents. The location is great and the garden is great :) The Tours are cheaper elsewhere.

As already mentioned in the other reviews, it is more of a hotel than a hostel. We hardly had any interaction with the other guests during our time there, as everyone does their own thing and there are no joint activities on offer. The room was clean but a bit clammy. But that's probably unavoidable in Tortuguero.
Pro: you can pay with Creditcard, the staff is really friendly, you can pay the Tours by Bank Transfer and the Tours are really nice. Contra: some cockroaches are around and the Room was smelly
It was a good price! That’s about it. Atmosphere wasn’t really there. The kitchen was outside and there was barely any light so cooking after sunset was difficult. There were cockroaches in the cupboards in the kitchen. And the rooms don’t have glass on the windows, just mosquito nets, so there is absolutely no privacy even in a “private” room. I probably wouldn’t go back.
Die Unterkunft ist absolut okay aber auch nichts besonderes.
The accommodation is absolutely okay but also nothing special.
Room wasn’t very clean when we checked in. It was too hot to sleep even though there was a fan in the room. Beds extremely uncomfortable. We left a night early because we did not enjoy it at all

Nice garden property. Close to everything you need. Stayed in private room which was comfortable and clean. Air con made a difference. Staff helped plan our stay and activities and gave helpful advice. We went to the hotel over the road and paid a small fee to use their swimming pool for the day. No breakfast available.

Excelente lugar , hermoso su jardin y las habitaciones todo muy limpio y ordenado. Ideal para descansar ya que la mayoria de las actividades son temprano.
Excellent location, beautiful garden and rooms all very clean and tidy. ideal for relaxing as most activities are early in the morning.
Stayed in a private room which was a really nice size. The hostel didn't have much of an atmosphere while I was there, so not the best for solo travellers. The lady at reception was super helpful and really nice. I would advise against booking the canoe tour with them, the guide I had was not very good.
I can really recommend this hostel, we had an amazing time there and met super nice people! And the owners as well as the staff are super sweet and helpful with activities and transfers. Also loved the kitchen it was spacious and always super clean :)
Tolles Hostel mit großartiger Lage. Man kann sogar Tukane und Affen aus der Hängematte beobachten.
You can even watch the Tukane and Affen from the Hängematte.

Il manquait de linges de table, à main et à vaisselle. Sinon, tout était OK
There was a lack of table linen, hand and dishes, otherwise everything was OK.
Sehr schönes Hostel. Das luxuriösteste Bad das wir bisher hatten, sogar mit warmer Dusche!

Excelente alojamiento, súper prolijo, alquilamos una habitación privada y estaba impecable, tenía aire acondicionado y pasaban a limpiarla todos los días. Queda cerca del muelle principal lo cual es bueno. Nos gustó mucho el alojamiento.
Excellent accommodation, super neat, we rented a private room and it was impeccable, it had air conditioning and it was cleaned every day. it is close to the main pier which is good. we really liked the accommodation.

Hostel works with a great team of bilingual guides (Spanish, English). Nicely located just a bit away from the noise of the docks, but just a 2 min walk. Dorm rooms are hot, noisy and not the most comfortable unfortunately. No fan, creaking dorm beds and a bit laid through mattresses. I have had worse but also better dorms.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The setting is so green and lush, and I was greeted with a welcome drink. The room has AC which is a godsend in the warm, humid weather in Tortuguero. The soundproofing isn’t the best so it’s easy to hear your neighbours but I wore earplugs and was fine. Also there is not really hot water, mostly lukewarm/not cold water. If you’re ok with that then I recommend this place to stay.
Ein wirklich sehr schönes Hostel, wir wurden sogar vom Bootsanleger abgeholt und haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Tukane sieht man wirklich aus der Hängematte und auf einem Baum nebenan sind ab und zu auch Aras zu beobachten.
A really very nice hostel, we were even picked up from the boot loader and felt very comfortable here. the tukane can really be seen from the hanging mat and on a tree next door are also to be observed from time to time Aras.
Sehr schönes Hostel mit schönem Außen- und Gemeinschaftsbereich. Sehr sauber und modern, mit Touranbieter im Haus. die Mitarbeitenden waren sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, was ich sehr wertschätze. Wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt!

Had an excellent stay at Aracari Garden hostel. Everything needed was present and the hamacs and chill corner are very comfy :) the breakfast was good as well!
