Bounce Magnetic Island and Koala Park

Not worth the price at all. Crazy how much they charge for laundry, food and drink considering there a hostel! Bit ridiculous really. Also koala park is very bad more of a safety talk about be aware of crocs and felt sorry for the koalas just hanging on a tiny man made tree. Felt cruel not worth the money don’t do the koala park tbh. Would not stay here again. Staff was friendly though although not hugely social place

There was a Guy Boeing agressive at night But there was nobody.. the parties by the personel where mostly for the locals and not so much for the backpackers thow they where fun. As a backpacker I felt a little bit like a second rated citizen. Beside the hostel/ campground its all about making the money in de bar/restaurant.

Such a gorgeous hostel, our favorite along the east coast. The location and staff are fantastic, and this is our second visit. The low rating comes from how the Wednesday night quiz was handled. While we were excited for fun competition, locals filled the bar and heckled the quiz host. One rude man, later identified as the hostel manager, belittled her despite her professionalism. His behavior ruined what would’ve been an otherwise great stay at Bounce. The manager should review his behaviour.

Roamer was my first hostel and stop on my trip, but unfortunately, within the second morning of waking up, I had over 50+ bed bug bites. I immediately went to the front desk to show them the bites, as well as the blood stains all over the sheets. They are aware of the bed bugs and leave it be. Full review is on google reviews

marco todo unos y sale de untuacion media un 2. no se entiende.en fin.habitacion doble cama grande con baño privado muy sucia.una lagartija y una lagarto dentro de la habitación.la atención muy mala pedimos secador de pelo y ni se molestaron en buscarlo.en la habitación hay hervidor de agua y un par de tes y cafe soluble.pedi un sobre de leche en polvo o creamer para mezclar con el cafe y q tampoco .en fin todo parecido con la realidad pura coincidencia si ha cambiado de nombre varias veces....

Good location, nice rooms and bar, however don’t think it’s worth the high price as have to pay extra for everything like the koala park and yoga. No lockers in room and spent $30 to do my laundry as the driers were so bad I had to put it through 4 times

Very much a party hostel - not my vibe but may suit others. Location great. Stayed in an 8 bed dorm - no lockers, no curtains around beds, no shelves by beds, USB sockets not working. Ceiling fan very loud and very close to top bunk. Between 2 dorms (16 people) only 2 toilets, 2 showers and 1 sink, meaning big queues. Very light in room at night with no curtains over top windows. Overall needs significant dorm improvements to bring up to scratch with similarly priced hostels.

Very expensive for what it was. En-suite shower had no hot water and was dirty. WiFi didn’t reach rooms. Not enough charging points. Quite disappointing for a Selina.

This Selina Hostel is quite overrated. Its not a bad hostel, but for the expensive price not good quality. I stayed 3 nights, in none of these days our room got cleaned. Really Bad wifi in the rooms, AC didnt work properly either so it was quite warm in the days. In the Kitchen no AC at all. Not really social, yoga class and snorkel equipment are not free and broken. You have to pay for everything extra, therefor why the price is so high. staff messed up my booking. disappointed,not good quality

Lovely and room was spacious and clean. Events in the bar every night and friendly staff - really helpful with changing my booking when my bus was cancelled. Horseshoe bay is quiet but peaceful. However it is the most expensive hostel I booked on the east coast and I’m not sure where the justification for the increased cost comes, as you still had to pay for the Koala Park and I couldn’t get a booking in the time I was there. Also no curtains on beds, which I’d expect for the price

If you want to feel the energy of Magnetic Island, Bounce is the place to stay! Amazing location, comfy bed and the staff is lovely :) strongly recommend!

The best hostel on magnetic island! Perfect for all age groups, family friendly and many activities. The wildlife experience is nowhere else to be found, staff are all super friendly and overall clean facilities. Would totally recommend to book here!

Best island experience ever! If you are coming to Magnetic Island, this is the only place to stay. Between the Koala Park next door, the amazing social activities going on everyday, and the coolest staff on the island, the energy here is unbeatable. Everything is super clean and the facilities are 10/10!!

The private cabins were nice, air conditioning, fan and towels included. The grounds were really nice and spaced out. It was a quiet hostel because if that. Good bathrooms with hot water and good water pressure. Walking distance to horseshoe bay and bus stop right out the front. Reception staff were nice. Bar staff appeared annoyed if you broke up the conversation with their friends to order something. On site restaurant nice but $$.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. So fun, social, nice rooms, common areas great, nice big clean kitchen , lots of things to do at the hostel - bird feeding, tours, sip and paint etc. would love to come again!

Super tolle Hostel-Anlage mit wunderschönen Palmen und mega süßen Hütten als Zimmer. Der Koalapark direkt nebenan waren auch super cool, ich kann das Hostel nur empfehlen!

Best hostel I’ve stayed in. Dorms are so clean and common areas are great. Even get wildlife (wallabies, possum, toad) up at the camp kitchen. So easy to catch the bus nearby as well.

Celebrated my 24th birthday here with friends and had th best time. Beautiful atmosphere and lovely, helpful staff. The owner was also very helpful and accommodating to my friends and I.

This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm and it was comfortable, clean and spacious! The facilities were amazing- the kitchen had so much storage/fridge space and the outdoor seating areas were lovely! It was in a great location and beautiful surroundings! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (including the rangers at the koala park)

My best hostel of Australia. Well connected by bus! Nice staff! Great cheap bar! Activities every day! Pool was nice and clean! Beds comfy. Wow

Bounce was an amazing stop off on Maggie Island! Such a beautiful resort feel, great facilities and even better staff! Special shout out to Jess & Jeffrey who were amazing and helped me and really made my stay. The activities at Bounce were also great and such a cool vibe day and night, would love to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Véritablement déçue par ce qui semblait être le « meilleur hostel » de l’île. Accueil minimaliste avec aucun conseil/recommandation du staff sur les sites à voir. Logement minuscule pour 6 personnes (je n’ai jamais vu un évier aussi petit) et les lits du haut sont collés au plafond… Mais le réel point négatif est le restaurant et le bar: les plats ne sont vraiment pas bons, je ne recommande pas de manger là bas! Tout est industriel (et trop cher!) Bref, surcoté alors qu�...

It was good, however maybe could be better for the price we paid. The hostel had a great atmosphere, breakfast was amazing.

Had a great stay, the location and koala park are amazing, the facilities are clean and well looked after, the bar and staff are super friendly and always happy to help. Such a fun and easy place to stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights. While it is out the way for the island. It did have good facilities on site to keep you occupied. Pool, koala breakfast, bar. However I wouldn’t eat from the hostel. Some of the worst food I’ve had on my trip. Fish and chips so crispy nearly no fish inside. And a friend a burger where the mince was raw inside (and we don’t mind a burger pink) but this was raw.

Loved our stay, really different to other hostels, more likely felt like a resort. It is as well Social and the staff was really friendly. It was clean even though a lot of the facilities are outside and in the nature so you have to expect a few bugs! Short walk to the beach and a few cafes and a bus every hour, so just really great!
