Nice staff - clean bed BUT the stairs to bed need too be wider, the room needs to be cleaned of spider webs and replace yucky carpet. There is no door lock from the inside . I was charged 48$ for one night - which I understand 2 night minimum but it was still off season, I would think. Needs to be made safer as at the moment it is precarious. Love the bistro for food and cafe and pleasant staff - great location.

When I went to check into the hostel, no one greeted me. I had to ask the cafe staff where I was staying for the night and they phoned the owner. I spoke to the owner on the phone and the first thing she demanded was that I needed to pay for my visit (of course I was going to pay). They out me in a room that had hornets flying around. During check out, no one asked me how my stay was. The staff were unfriendly, the room was gross and the owner is a crazy lady with zero social skills.

Not very clean place. And not sure if they even change sheets. We got a small room with a queen bed without towels.

This was one of the most unique places I have stayed in a long time. It was wonderful to be so central and close to "downtown" Denman. I was sleeping in the water tower and was a bit nervous about how wobbly the step ladder to get to the bed was. There were some dirty towels left in the room and it had me wondering if the sheets had been changed, but I know many places are struggling with staff shortages right now. I enjoyed eating in the funky Bistro and there was live music at times.

The host is very friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy room. Well maintained vintage showpiece. Near ferry and market.

Fantastic atmosphere and a hub for local events. Great please for an eventful stay and the chance to meet other interesting people

The location is perfect, just off the ferry and close to stores. The peacefulness and quiet made for a restful sleep. The staff is very helpful and friendly we enjoyed our stay.

Short but nice stay! My partner and I met a few other travelers but we're pretty beat from a busy day so we went to bed early. Nice room, good little experience! Breakfast was really good as well!

Funky hippy vibes at this hostel/cafe/garden. The water tower dorm was awesome. Only concern - you couldn’t lock the door when you were inside the room. But Denman feels very safe so I wasn’t too worried. The kitchen had everything you needed, plus the cafe had tasty snacks to buy. As the site mentions, the tap water does have a sulphur smell... Overall a funky gulf island hostel with friendly owners.

Definitely a FUN place to stay loved it!!! But I do feel it could benefit from a good deep clean (perhaps even some replacement of beds, and other basics). Regardless I would stay again as I love the vibe, and the people you can meet there! My family was not as crazy about the experience (put off by the septic which required a trash can next to the toilet,perhaps a different container would help) & would ask for a deep clean before returning. The food was AMAZING (especially the baked goods)

Earth Club Factory was better than I imagined! To begin with the hosts are so welcoming and kind I felt like I was staying with family. The house is comfortable and I had access to the kitchen which I was not expecting, but next time I will be prepared. Staying at ECF was a good choice!

A wonderfull place to stay in every way. Peaceful and so centrally located to some wonderfull walks and views. Beautiful healthy tasty food in their café.

Fantastic food and coffee, and friendly staff. I downgraded security because there was no lock or doorknob on our door, and no smoke detector in our room. The outside doors had locks with access codes, but they were not working. In fairness, Denman Island is very small and very friendly, and we always felt personally safe, but leaving our stuff unprotected in our room was unsettling.

Great concept, bit of a boring location (compared to the rest of Vancouver island).

This is a hippy’s dream! The vibe is so cool, the staff is friendly, and you can’t help but love this quirky oasis. Last night I met so many cool travelers. One played the guitar and we all just sang, discussed music and life, and it was truly magical.

I loved earth club, went out of my way to come back a second time, amazing people and a very chill vibe. You get the nice option to choose based on your budget which was appreciated.

This is a most magical place! We were welcomed warmly and felt honoured to stay in such a beautiful space!

I had a great stay at earth club factory. Everyone was so nice and I love the set up and the vibe there. Met really great people. wish we had been there for music! It was perfect for us (we were camping). Also great to have a little bistro on site, it’s close to the ferry and the town center. I will stay here again! Thank you!

My girlfriends and I such a great stay at the Earth Club Factory!! 😊 The owners were lovely, nice chill vibes and a big communal kitchen area. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to relax and unwind 💜
