Isla Tortuga Diving & Hostel

Ik zou er niet terug gaan. Vieze badkamer, er komt een lucht van af waar je bijna over je nek gaat. Geen gordijnen of iets van privacy. De kluisjes onder de bedden waren allemaal kapot. Over het algemeen zeer slecht

Die Lage ist top und man kann von der Fähre hinlaufen. Das ist allerdings auch das einzig positive, wenn man nicht spanisch spricht und tauchen geht. Ansonsten wirst du nicht beachtet und man fühlt sich sehr schnell unwohl. Die Sauberkeit der Badezimmer war selbst für thailändische Verhältnisse echt grenzwertig. Definitiv auch eigene Handtücher mitbringen!! Abtrocknen kann man sich mit denen nicht und danach ist man voller blauer Fussel. Kann ich wirklich nicht empfehlen.

Really rude staff, Spanish men that worked there would sit by the bar at the hostel every night watching girls come down wolf whistling and staring at like a piece of meat. We stayed four nights and they never cleaned our room or changed towels/bins despite leaving the make up room card on the handle outside. Wouldn’t recommend. Ended up cutting our stay short and stayed at the treetop bungalow hostel nearby and it was amazing.

Beds were rock solid and pillows provided no support. There was no lockers to lock my stuff in my room No curtains for privacy either

Hostel bien situé (2 min à pied du Pier, plusieurs restaurants et boutiques aux alentours) avec personnel prêt à nous aider en cas de besoin. Propreté laissant à désirer; salle de bain mal propre et remplie de moisissure. Lits durs et inconfortables. Notre air climatisée coulait en abondance sur le plancher.

Estuve solo una noche en una de la habitaciones privadas y no estaba mal, era amplia y cómoda. Se nota que son habitaciones viejas, hay mucho olor a humedad. No me gustó el baño, el inodoro y ducha estaban uno al lado del otro y había bastante feo olor, si se apagaba el AC o se dejaba la puerta abierta se llenaba de olor la habitación. También al lado del baño había una gotera o algo en la pared y chorreaba agua formando un charco en el piso. Me pareció que la habitación no valió lo q...

Couldn’t lock the front door so everyone could walk in. Lockers too small for big bagpacks. Friendly staff but in general very basic facilities.

The property is in a great location, along with friendly staff. DONT come here unless you speak Spanish! Everyone is Spanish speaking. The cleanliness/ safety is awful, the water was literally running brown and there where stains everywhere, the beds where rock solid and the doors struggled to lock. The bag compartment under the beds are sharp and rusted metal with two little holes (so bring your own lock) and one of the em didn’t lock. Wouldn’t recommend, checkout out after 1 night…

The staff was nice! However the beds were rock solid and the shower was quite dirty.

Meh not bad but nothing special

Good value for your money especially because of its location. They do ask a deposit of 500 TBH for the key which I wasn’t aware of and since I visited at the end of my Thailand trip, a definite inconvenience! You can’t get around the sand in the rooms, it’s an island - what do you expect? Lastly, bathroom could be improved, the showers sprays the whole room & toilet cover was loose. But hey, overall 4/5

Was helemaal prima, fijne kamers en top locatie. Zwembad was ook heel fijn. Echter werd er weinig schoongemaakt dus waren de kamers vies.

Gutes Hostel, das einzige was ich schade finde ist, dass es keine Vorhänge am Bett gibt. Dadurch fühlt man sich etwas weniger wohl aber mit netten Leuten geht auch das :)

unfortunately we don’t recommend this hostel, our room was dirty when we arrived with dirty boxers in the bathroom and used contact lenses on my bed. The room was extremely damp, all of our stuff including our bedding was constantly wet. Out of the 4 lockers in the room only one of them closed. staff were concerned and polite when we raised these issues but nothing was done during our stay.

If you are coming here to get your diving certificate, I would recommend it since the hostel is very dive oriented. If you are not diving pick something else. The pool is only for divers, one of the beds we had was harder than concrete. No curtains to the beds and dirty floor.

Great location not very social

Prima hostel, niet erg sociaal. Ik sliep onder de airco en hier werd ik ziek van. Het is handig om de airco ergens anders te hangen in de kamer. Bijvoorbeeld boven de deur bij binnenkomst

Echt een top hostel! Aardig en meedenkend personeel. Omdat ik vroeg in de ochtend moest duiken, kon ik niet op tijd uitchecken. Ik mocht mijn tas laten staan en na het duiken nog even gebruikmaken van de kamer, super fijn! De ligging is perfect: direct bij de pier en ideaal ten opzichte van alle duikscholen. De badkamer was ook schoon.

Its good if u want to dive, but otherwise its not so social

Höfliches Personal aber im Allgemeinen sehr unpersönlich und distanziert. Kaum Ausstattung im Zimmer. Harte Betten, dreckiges Bad und Ameisen im Zimmer. Ein gute Aspekt war, dass es keine Vorhänge gab und man somit etwas mit den Zimmerpartnern connecten konnte.

Leuke, relaxte en vriendelijke sfeer. Personeel is behulpzaam en chill. De meerderheid van de reizigers daar is er ook om te duiken. Dus dat zorgt voor connectie, maar dan ook minder ruimte voor andere sociale activiteiten. Stel je verwachtingen dus af op wat je zelf plant te doen op Koh Tao. De bijhorende duikschool is top: zeer vriendelijke en professionele instructeurs, ze nemen de tijd om alles goed uit te leggen en zorgen voor een goede duikervaring! Bedankt!

Really enjoyed our stay at Isla Tortuga, pool was being repaired most days so we couldn’t use it - it is what it is. Staff were super friendly & we also booked on the DSD course which was a class experience. Would recommend to those staying in Koh Tau to stay at Isla Tortuga

Good place to stay. Don’t need to be into diving to stay here. It was clean and close to the main strip about a 20 minute walk. No curtains on the beds but I was with a group so it didn’t matter. The mattresses were hard but not the worst. The pillows are not nice. Overall would recommend this place it’s clean and convenient
