1- the guests can not use kitchen 2- No kettle No water - u should always pay for them 3- In the showers, no hanger for your towel and clothes 4- No soaps or shampoo at all 5- There were nets above the beds but they were damaged and mosquitoes & bugs were all inside 6- you should leave your shoes & slippers outside but the floor of the room was dirtier than outside 7- there were no duvet covers. So you should you use the blankets directly. How many people or how many times used we don't ...
Arguably one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in. The French woman at the desk is lovely. The rooms are vile and the fans are so ineffective you’re sleeping in 30 degrees heat. Massive bugs were in our rooms and random people kept walking in at 3am. The showers are freezing cold, and nowhere to put anything. Only one communal sink with no soap. Everyone stays here and checks out after one night
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. It mainly stems from the hostel being in need of basic repairs, such as linoleum flooring had multiple holes in it, the bicycle I rented didn’t have functioning brakes, unclear information from management, staircase in need of repairs etc Other issues stems from the lack of basic security, there was no lock to the dorms, while made it seem quite unsafe
lots of potential, just plenty of bugs
Ap...
Meh it was a fine stay but really far away from everything. Definitely need to rent bikes or tuk tuks from here. The stairs up to the dorms were not very accessible. Very nice that they have fans and mosquito nets (super needed) but my net had a bunch of holes in it. I don’t think I would stay at again due to location.
Didn’t stay one night because it looked as though it had bed bugs and we didn’t want to take the risk. Toilets were unclean and smelly. Only used them once. Booked at a guesthouse in a better location for a good price.
Lots of potential but sadly not well maintained or executed. Common space was shut down and closed every night around 10 pm, after that there was not a single place to hang out or even sit down. The common area was quite dirty, cushions to sit on were stained and filthy, tablecloths full of ants and other bugs. Three big cockroaches in our bunglow, one even in the bed. Pictures are not up to date anymore, no hammocks/ chairs by the beach. Left earlier as planned bc it wasn’t rlly comfy.

Overall it was okay, the staff is really nice and the pick up service at the pier was convenient. Don’t expect anything fancy though. There is no AC and it will get hot.
WOWOWOW my favourite hostel / place in south east asia. par and his wife and family were so kind and welcoming to me. the beach is amazing as is the island itself. i would recommend getting a private room as it is more comfortable than the dormitories and such great value. KHAP JAI LAI LAI🫶🏼🫶🏼
Had a great stay, events every night, clean rooms, good noise cancellation given the proximity to the exciting neighbourhood, the workers and volunteers were amazing, specifically manny, the dude created an awesome vibe and made sure everyone was having a good time all the time, 10/10 would recommend
Schlecht: -man muss für Wasser zahlen -Lage Gut: -Atmosphäre -gemütlich
Nice place !
top accueil, très bonne nourriture, emplacement parfait !
Enjoyed my stay there, the owner is really kind and helpful and it’s a great place to socialize and rest. It’s a little bit outside town so plan a headlamp at night but the walk is nice and the food is amazing. I recommend.
Had a great stay on there
Very nice hostel with such a kind staff. Ideal location. I was in a private bungalow which felt really great, except for the shower where there were no hot water unfortunately
My fan in my room wouldn’t point at me but the mosquito net was effective and it’s was $3 a night
great stay, but i bit far off id say the most authentic place in don det
The showers/toilets stink of urine, it's disgusting, but the beds are clean. However, you only have a tiny locker outside the room (big enough for a handbag and toiletries) and nowhere to store your belongings. It's really not ideal for backpackers. There was a balcony behind our dorm and some bags were stored there. So in the morning and evening, people who weren't sleeping in that room had to cross over to get their belongings...
The only hostel on the island so the best option for a solo traveller or someone looking to meet people. but it was a bit far from stuff and not that comfortable compared to other options on the island (I stayed in a private hut). But it’s very cheap, well organised, pool table, nice restaurant, private beach etc, depends what you want
great hostel, could use a little bit of improvement for AC and facilities (showers), great staff though, cheap. and greaaaaat kitchen
