How this hostel has a decent overall review is beyond me. I am someone who likes camping and living in the outdoors but this place was shocking. The place is filthy, we were shown our room which was covered in dead flies and debris all over our bed sheets. The bathrooms are permanently damp and have mud on the floor with limited hooks and shelves to put your stuff. The whole building is very dark and it makes it difficult to see anything, to make it worse out light in our room broke so we had to...
Had really high hopes for this hostel given its reviews. It's undoubtedly really beautiful, both the location and the hostel itself. Unfortunately though there were quite a few problems. First, we were asked to switch rooms on the second day as they had put us in the wrong one. No big deal. We asked several times that day if the new room was ready but it wasn't until around 6pm, at which time we were about to head out for 40 mins get some food from the shop before it got dark. We asked if it w...
We had a great stay at Remo. The staff is great and the place is very peaceful. However, one of our friends had a very bad experience with the owner of this hostel. He was abusive towards her. I do not recommend this place for this reason, especially if you are a woman traveling alone.
Not easy to rest because there is no insulation in the rooms. Lack of light. Not very warm staff. Not good value for money.
A cool tree house/place in the forest. Most alternative PPL. Since it has no real walls and no doors, it is very noisy. There is always music playing until late into the night and unfortunately the other guests pay little attention to the noise. There is nowhere to safely store your valuables (just a curtain). During our stay it rained a lot and there were a lot of leaks, so our mattress was wet :(. We can recommend the breakfast, was very tasty (40 reals per person). Staff was very helpful...
The staff is welcoming and that’s all I can recommend about this place.
So I leave as a suggestion to put a support to hang towels in our rooms or set aside a space for each room on the balcony, because I glued my personal towel, then I had to use the hostel one and glued again kkkk only I didn't have any more towels and I had to dry myself with toilet paper kkkk It was a colder and rainy day, so I couldn't dry myself with the heat.
Literally in the middle of the jungle. We stayed 2 nights which was definitely enough - the mosquito nets don’t work and you have to be prepared to basically be sleeping outside in the treehouse. The dog barked a lot and bit a few people during our stay. We found the atmosphere to be social which was nice and the breakfast on offer was delicious. No dinner available to buy as we read and no shops close - consider staying if raining as nothing will dry , showers are often cold and very humid.
It is a unique stay in the forest. However our beds were damp and had a smell We had to wash all our clothes when we left as they got damp too. There were no lockers to store our belongings. Our roof was leaking so they flipped our mattress which meant it was still damp. Bring the strongest mosquito repellent for day and night as you will get bitten.
The hostel was in such a cool location in the middle of the forest and twenty minutes walk from two beaches It’s a very chilled vibe there Only downside is no shops/restaurants around so you have to be prepared to bring your own food to cook everything for yourself

Thank you Remo.

A perfect place to disconnect, meet great people and enjoy an ultra chill atmosphere. everything was top notch welcome, energy, vibe... hard to leave!
A hidden blessing. I had the pleasure of coming during off-season in July, and it added to how peaceful it was. The coordinator and volunteers (Tiago, Veronica, Rebecca and Cecile) were angels. Cooked breakfast, interacted with guests, helped book activities in and outside Paraty… the owner even sells massage and oils! Extremely clean, quiet hours are respected, breakfast and spreads are all homemade! Very isolated from the city center, need to take the bus/van, private beach and hikes near! :...
I loved this hostel!!! As long as you’re okay with being off the beaten path and far from the city, this hostel is awesome. It’s so immersive into nature and the staff/volunteers are so incredible. There’s also the prettiest beach that’s a 15-20 minute walk from the hostel on a beautiful path. I’d absolutely recommend it here!! And I also highly recommend traveling here during their winter - it’s so much quieter and the weather is still nice.
Top as in our photos and description, I recommend, you can go without fear, receptive
We loved our time here-such a nice oasis. The sounds of the jungle were so soothing. We were offered a tour and felt we had been misled on what it entailed and we overpaid (180 reales) for what we were offered. Also the dog on property is a bit aggressive so beware 😐

Great atmosphere located where you can be close to nature in the forest.

The best hostel in Paraty is El mejor hostal de Paraty
This is a hostel you don’t want to leave, definitely. People here are Just amazing, staff and guests

good hostel to do a disconnect, lost in nature, one wakes up in the morning to the noise of the jungle. 15 minutes walk from the beach, on the other hand, very far from the center of paris, and little transportation, available to get there. in addition, there are few amenities, and places to go out at night around the hostel. very friendly and welcoming staff. very friendly.

It’s a treehouse in the middle of the jungle with limited amenities. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll love it, if not, might not be the place for you.
I loved this hostel! It’s so peaceful and a great place to escape from regular crazy hostels. I could meditate and enjoy the nature, walk to the beach and explore trails nearby. I met some beautiful people there and the breakfast that Anna makes is incredible! It’s not a party hostel and a bit difficult to get around as you need to get buses or boats to local places but it’s perfect for a bit of peace in nature. Only negative is the dog is aggressive and tried to bite several guests! Not g...

I've loved every single moment in this hostel. I felt home right away, and the nature surrounding you is what made you fall in love with the structure. P.S. don't miss the delicious homemade breakfast 😍
