+ Town Port Fairy
- Premises
The staff were lovely and showed us round which was great, however the pillow case stunk and wasn’t clean. I had a mark on my bedding and the worst thing was that the hostel door didn’t even lock. I felt so unsafe all night as it is a room straight from outside. The door not locking/ lack of security was not ok. I felt so on edge unsettled and unsafe the whole night. I wouldn’t recommend especially if you’re a solo traveller. Not many people staying so not social either.

- Bei der Unterkunft handelt es sich um ein Hostel, in dem sich auch zwei Zimmer mit Bad befinden. Das Bad war unzumutbar, das Zimmer etwas und die Terrassenmöbel richtig verdreckt. Laut Hausordnung mussten wir schließlich noch unsere Bettwäsche abziehen und das alles für 175 austr. Dollar. Zum besseren Verständnis dieses Missverhältnisses sind Fotos beigefügt

- Had a private room which was tiny the wifi didn’t reach room so had to sit in the main building all night there was holes all over the room and webs which just looked spider infested and when I looked down the side of the bed I seen about 5 giant dead insects
The beds are super old and the rooms could use a clean. It’s not a bad hostel, but I certainly wouldn’t stay here long term. The beds should definitely have curtains too.

It is smelly and the atmosphere wasn't the best. Maybe the other rooms are fine but I wouldn't recommend the big dorm. The big kitchen and inner garden are nice though!

+ We loved this place. Lovely private room that was clean with an en-suite. We made use of the shared kitchen which was clean and well equipped. We only stayed one night in port fairy but we really enjoyed it

+ Lovely, quirky property with great facilities and homely feel. Clean, comfortable accommodation with pubs and sea within walking distance. Excellent value
Unfortunately only stayed for one night while passing through on a time restrained road trip. But the space was very unique in character and you could tell it was well loved and well taken care of. Would for sure stay again next time I’m in Port Fairy.

+ Everything was easy and comfortable. A great location, easy walk to everything in town and the beds were very comfy.
- The noisy people outside our room at 11:30pm. They did move when asked.

+ It’s a beautiful and well cared place, with a lot of lovely places to sit around and relax in the common areas. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The staff is also very friendly, willing to help and give great recommendations. It’s been the best hostel where I have stayed in Australia!
+ Great familial vibe. Loved the mixing of nationalities and cultures.

+ Perfect place for a mini break down the coast. Close to everything, relaxing, fantastic facilities and friendly staff. So many different spaces to relax or recharge, fully stocked kitchen, one of the cleanest hostels I have had the pleasure of staying in. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again next time I visit Port Fairy.
