Gardens House

It was a decent stay. Nothing to shout about but a cute garden. Hygiene could have been better but was definitely passable and not exactly worrying. Didn’t feel the most welcome to start with but it was late and the next day all staff+ main host helped me very much. Great information on local area and readily available for answering questions. Although I eat only my own food… breakfast is provided and looked good

Charming house full of plants, close to the airport. The host offers an affordable transfer service, perfect for late arrivals. The private room had a musty smell, which the host explained comes from the wood swelling. Despite this, the stay was comfortable and convenient.

More of a homestay then a hostel but it was pleasant enough, had a cute garden in the back. It was fine just not what I was expecting.

I stayed at Garden's House for an easy commute to SJO the following morning- good location. When I arrived, the front desk lady, Carmen, was extremely nice and helpful! I was told that there was an available private room upon arrival, which I decided to take. The room, however, was in a separate house entirely. The house had a security gate, a front door lock, and a lock on each room, so it was safe, but the atmosphere was so scary I could barely sleep. The bed was very uncomfortable as well.....

Really does fee more like a home then a hostel. I loved the cozy cute vibes. Great for a little break

The host family was very sweet and made us breakfast and the location was overall good. However, the rooms were very hot and the A/C was weak. There were also a lot of mosquitoes but the host thankfully provided bug spray.

Nice place. We only stayed here for one night after our flight arriving in San José. The vibe was on top and the breakfast very good and traditional. We booked their private room, which was fine, but not insulated very well, which made us hear every little noice outside. We hoped to get a good night of sleep after a long travel day, but that did unfortunately not make up to our expectations. Otherwise a nice place :)

The hotel is okay I mean it's close to the airport and there's free breakfast. But there's no privacy.. you could hear everything from the hotel but apart from that everything was okay

Good place, felt clean, super kind staff, tasty breakfast and felt safe due to the gate to get to the area. Not that much to do near by so perfect for a short stay after/before airport. They also offer air port shuttle which was really smooth.

Overall, I felt very comfortable. The rooms and bathroom were clean. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (unfortunately, it was the same every morning), and I got along very well with the German volunteer (Clara). Best regards to her. The only downsides were the lack of air conditioning (it was much too hot despite the fan), and a small lamp and a small shelf next to the bed would have been nice.

Amazing hostel and staff, great place to lay your head before your flight! I’ll be back here.

Was easy to find location upon arrival, our room was very clean. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was a great start to our trip !!

Ich habe während meines Costa Rica Aufenthaltes 3 mal dieses Hostel gebucht. Immer wenn ich mal eine Nacht in Flughafen Nähe überbrücken musste. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und würde es jederzeit wieder buchen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und die Atmosphäre in den Aufenthaltsbereichen war sehr angenehm.

Breakfast was incredible, Garden was amazing and we felt very welcome. There was an argentinian girl working at the front desk and she was very kind to us. Hostel is in a very quiet and safe location. We stayed a night after we landed at the airport and this is the perfect spot.

Great one night stay close to the airport. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing your own food. I loved the garden- it is a little oasis of relaxation with a fabulous little water feature. They provided an efficient airport shuttle at 4am. I would definitely stay here again if I needed an airport stay 😊

Tolles Hostel, Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und es ist wirklich sehr sauber. Ebenfalls liegt das Hostel in einer sehr sicheren Gegend, nah am Flughafen.

Lugar muy tranquilo, limpio y ordenado. Está dentro de un barrio privado, en los alrededores no hay mucho para hacer, aunque caminando un poco se puede llegar a un centro comercial, o más cerca de la ciudad. La atención fue excelente, al igual que la limpieza y las instalaciones.

Lindo lugar, las camas muy cómodas, la casa super limpia, el desayuno muy muy rico! Está a 15 minutos caminando de la estacion de autobuses

The garden house hostel is a lush beautiful and quant hostel. You'll feel right at home here. With delicious home cooked breakfast and dinner how could you need more?!

A lovely boutique hostel near the airport. Comfy beds and towels included. Cooked breakfast included and the coffee is delicious. The garden with the sound of running water makes for a lovely chill out area. The resident chihuahua is a laugh.

The owners are very helpful and friendly. Convenient transfer from the airport. Delicious dinner, even made me veggie beefs. Earplugs are recommended during night though.

Parfait je recommande. Lieu agréable familial et sécurisé. Proche de l aéroport il est idéal pour faire une halte avant de partir explorer le pays.
