Jo sisään astuttaessa haisi paikassa virtsa. Meteli oli huomattava ja nukkuminen ei tullut kuulonkaan kyseisessä paikassa. Jouduin vaihtamaan nukkumapaikkaa 5minuutin sisällä olon jälkeen.

Please be aware when booking this hostel that it is not great. My stay started off with drug addicts everywhere, men walking around in their boxers and just genuine uncomfortable feelings about this hostel. When it came to check out day i was hanging in the “common room” on level 4 and was watching this women detox from drugs. It has not been a pleasant stay nor as a solo traveler have i felt safe. Please rethink your booking to elsewhere.

There is no freedom to use the dorm as per your convenience. Quiet hours are starting 11 pm however, Kathy (Chau) from the reception came barging into the dorm and told not to talk on phone or make any noise whatsoever at 10:20 pm. This is not expected out of a Hostel with adults where the staff doesnt seem to respect space of the guests. I stayed at CheapSleep Hostel Helsinki and I am seriously disappointed about the lockers. The lockers are a complete scam. Anyone can open any locker without a personal key. That means I can open other people’s lockers and anyone can open mine. The staff knows this and the hostel knows this. That is exactly why they write in big bold letters that they are not responsible for anything inside the lockers. Instead of fixing the problem, they just avoid responsibility. The receptionist lied and was horrible about our booking and not accommodating. Terrible experience. Even this survey is terrible. I am leaving my comments and it asks to leave a comment.

I'm born and raised Finland, and have visited hostels all around. Came here for a work event and thought i'd get a hostel bed for once, instead of bunking at a friend's place. And lo, I'm met with literally the worst luggage security I have seen. So: I checked in around 7 pm; I got my keycard and a cardboard note card specifying my flopr, room, bed and locker, all of which my keycard was supposed to open. I mostly have a good time but this was ruined by someone who was sleeping next to me who had who before I had arrived ejaculated on my bed. Seriously, this was very upseting. I was very surprised the hostal had not noticed or refused to care but I hope this does not happen to other guests.

They never change the mattress covers; you sleep on the mattress cover used by the person who stayed there the night before. They only change the duvet cover, which is unhygienic. The windows are wide, but the only shutter that can be opened is very small, so there is little air circulation.

If you want your stuff to be stolen, come here to stay. Low energy accommodation. 👎

Det är olämpligt att ha ett rum på våning 2 ( 208 ) då spelades Disco musik hela natten ! Det är inte heller så tyst på natten på våning 4 där köket ligger. Mycket oljud som påverkade alla som ville sova. tyvärr !

beds were too small

1 gece konakladım. 25 eu. çinden öğrenci grubu vardı onlarla yemek yiyip az konuştuk. Hostel’in altında 7/24 açık market var ve yemek alışverişinizi yapıp hostel’in mutfağında ısıtabilirsiniz. Ben meyve va somon çorbası almıştım. Mikroda 4 dakika ısıtıyorsunuz ve hazır. Sabah uyandığımda her yeri tertemiz etmişler. Gönül rahatlığı ile kalabilirsiniz.

El año pasado había reservado y no pude viajar. Le escribí al hotel y ellos me pidieron cambiar de fecha para cuando yo pudiera ir. Finalmente pude venir a Helsinki. El hostal fue muy receptivo y respondían rápido el WhatsApp. Al llegar, la ayuda de Baptiste el chico de Francia y Manoij de Nepal, fue oportuna para saber que hacer en la ciudad y también para comprar la tarjeta de Viaje de 48 horas por Helsinki. Gracias Baptiste y Manoij por su ayuda y consejos. Ustedes son los mejores. 🙏...

Met Manoj and I started talking, and within five minutes it felt like we accidentally scheduled a deep Entrepreneur Society meeting. So much fun. Thats why hostels are really nice. Also shoutout to Baptiste being cool dude and helping me with my card. :D

Was a pleasant stay experience overall. The receptionist @Manoj was also very cordial.

Felt like a halfway home. There was a school of 18 year olds and then just random 40 year olds. Terrible atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the stay in the 18 bed female dorm. Great location at the end of a major tram line. Also- staff were extremely kind and tried starting events in the evening time. Would stay here again!

The location is quite convenient - just a 20-minute walk from the city center or 7 minutes by taxi. The rooms and living areas are clean; when I stayed, I got lucky and had a 6-person room all to myself. The toilets and showers are clean and in good condition. I have no complaints about the indoor heating or the sound insulation of the rooms. The staff is very friendly and speaks several languages. An excellent choice for the price if you need a place to stay in the city for a couple of nights.

simple but good hostel, very big

It was a nice hostel with lots of people. There are weekly social events and the staff is really engaged.

the mens bathrooms smell and my room smelled like socks that have been worn for 3 days straight, but other than that the stay was good, friendly people and staff, good connection with public transport, i recommend.

I had a really fun stay at Cheap Sleep Hostel. One of the highlights was the game night we played Jenga and Uno with people from different countries, which made the atmosphere super social and enjoyable. A special shout-out to Manoj at the reception. He immediately caught my vibe and invited me to join the games, which made the experience even better. Spent three great days at CheapSleep. The location was convenient and the room was clean and quiet. All the staff was friendly, helpful and professinal. Special thanks to Maria and Celal, who made my stay an experience to remember. I will definitely come back to CheapSleep and to Helsinki, with the hope of having both of them as my hosts once more🙂
