Casa Bosco Minca

Got bitten by A LOT of bedbugs from one night here. Do not stay here, you will get many bedbug bites and risk bringing it back home to your apartment

The host was very nice and helpful however the room was very basic and there did not seem to be any other travellers there aside from our group. The bathroom was also dirty and could have done with a good mop.

Juan ist ein super freundlicher Gastgeber und sehr hilfsbereit. Lage ist gut, etwas außerhalb und ruhig - toller Pool im Garten. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, keine Abstellmöglichkeiten. Große Hostel-Küche vorhanden, leider vieles etwas dreckig oder nicht richtig gespült - da könnte ab und zu etwas nachgeholfen werden. Das Hostel ist 24/7 offen, also das Tor und die Eingangstüre, was wir nicht so gut fanden.

Lovely hostel close by the centre of Minca. The people were nice and the facilities good. It could be a little bit cleaner though. Overall good experience.

Great little place in excellent location close to the "main road". The host is the most amazing friendly guy. Our private room was spacious and bed comfortable. The only real downside was that the room was right next to the kitchen with these open windows (no glass) facing it so no noice cancellation at all. People were sometimes talking loudly till 2am & the next people starting at 7am so had a couple of bad nights sleep. Shower is cold water only however that seems to be the norm for Min...

We had a good time in the hostel. It's in the city center which is convenient. The pool is really nice and the staff very kind.

I loved the hammocks in this hostel. Like in many hostels in Colombia, the staff only spoke Spanish. She did a thorough job cleaning the dorm but forgot the bathroom, although the toilet was soiled and attracting flies.

Pros: - host Andrea was nice - rooms were fine and clean enough - has a pool - near centre of village Cons: - kitchen is unclean and missing lots of basics (nothing for coffee, fridge and microwave didn’t work during our stay) - didn’t feel super secure as not locked up at night (just the individual room locks) - no real vibes in the hostel - rooms quite dark

We spent two nights at Casa Bosco and can not fault the place. Located 10 minute walk from the main street the hostel is a great place to relax close to the town. The owners are friendly and go to great extent to ensure a pleasant stay with both laundry and luggage storage avaiable for a fee. We stayed in a double room which was simple and comfortable and the common areas included hammocks (very relaxing during the afternoon storms) and a pool which we didnt get the chance touise unfortunately.

New hidden gem in Minca! The place opened just a week ago, it's a really cute and cozy place. Mauricio, the host, and his mum are running this place and are adorable! It even has a swimming pool with water from the river. You can easily cook in the shared kitchen. They offer breakfast which was local and tasty (16.000 pP). The place is a short walk from the center but offers calm and birdlife in exchange. We really loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

For budget backpackers and those looking for a very quiet, chilled out hostel, this is a great option near to the centre of Minca where you have all the cafes and restaurants. The owner is lovely and makes breakfast for the guests each morning. The kitchen is good and it's nice to have the pool to cool down on warm days. We slept well (but bring lots of bug spray)! The bathroom is quite basic and uses water from the river so the shower is cold. Look out for the tortoise and toads in the garden!

Merci encore à Juan pour l’accueil. Le service est excellent, les chambres sont belles, propres et confortables. La piscine est un vrai plus quand il fait chaud, et la cuisine était parfaite. N’hésitez pas à réserver pour profiter de la gentillesse et de l’ambiance de l’hostel.

The hostel has a great vibe and the owner and everyone who worked there were so lovely!!! Recommend staying here! Great location, short walk to the center of Minca! Would be nice with lockers in the mixed dorm + bathroom could be nicer. Would stay again:)

My stay here was very comfortable, beds were nice and bathrooms were clean. It’s a beautiful property and perfect for digital nomads. Juan, the owner, is an amazing person and made my stay so memorable. Loved it here no complaints!

Thank you Juan for a wonderful stay! Location means you are a 10 min walk from the centre but this didn’t bother us at all. The hangout areas in the hostel were great and we really enjoyed the pool!! Would stay here again if we returned to Minka :)

From my experience, this was one of the best stays during my trip to Colombia. From the very beginning, I felt right at home. The women’s dormitories are super comfortable and have the biggest dorm beds I have ever seen. The staff are absolutely lovely, including Juan, the owner, his brother, and Angelo. Casa Bosco Minca was a great place to stay and Juan is an amazing host. He makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast (at least the granola) is also nice. Lovely atmosphere and would recommend anyone to stay here. Nederlander die reviewt voor de authenticiteit. Echt een aanrader
