Ananas Guesthouse Moalboal

The staff was really lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, I had several itchy bug bites (doctor said bed bugs). Always three in a row. Only got them in the hostel. I talked to the staff about it, wanting a refund since I had to change the hostel and I only got the last night canceled. I had a lot of costs for the medication and changing the hostel but apparently because of Hostelworld regulations I didn't get the whole refund. very frustrating. Also not really a social hostel and could be cleaner

Completely mediocre. Fine for a night or two. Not the cleanest place. The water from the sink was brown. The pool smelled gross, so we didn’t want to use it. 10 min walk from Main Street area. Accommodated late check in easily.

The staff in this hostel is really really friendly and helped us a lot. The breakfast in the morning is big and there are many options to choose from. The dorms are okay. First there is no windows in the dorms, so it's quite dark. There is no soap next to the sink in the dorms. The sockets don't hold plugs well and the plugs constantly fall out. Beds are hard, uncomfortable and move a lot when someone turns. Also there was evidence of bed bugs in the dorm (I had 4 lines) the morning I left.

Defo wouldn't stay there again. Room was only a foot bigger than the size of the bed, the showers are not warm (although they are powerful) and there were loads of ants in my room crawling everywhere. Overpriced bike rental and sub-standered breakfast. We booked it because it was a cheap private room, I certainly wouldn't stay there in a dorm as there was no socialising. The staff were fine and the place was in a good location.

Staff were so lovely! Rooms are spacious and breakfast was nice. Can book activities through the hostel and transport. Unfortunately the AC was really weak/barely cooled the room and there were a lot of little black bugs that kept showing up all over the floor. Also geckos in the room (understand this is a bit tricky to sort)

All staff were really nice and helpful for trips and onward travel. Location was good, close to main area but still quiet. Unfortunately, the aircon gets turned off everyday between 8am-5pm so the dorm room gets very hot. This also meant mosquitoes were in the room so we got bitten a lot.

Good place to stay only a 10 minute walk to the main strip ideal if you want a quieter stay. The staff are absolutely lovely I lost my phone and they done everything to help me get it back which we did. So overall lovely stay but staff made it 10x better for me

Cute little hostel with a nice pool and good breakfast :) The staff was really helpful. Main downside was the lockers were all broken so there was no way to put a lock on them. The shower door also locked only half the time.

We asked reception to book us a transfer to Oslob port so we could get a ferry to Bohol, when asking if we needed to book a ferry ticket in advance we were told we could buy a ticket at the port. We arrived at the port to be told that the ferry was full and that we in fact needed to book a ferry in advance, this cost us a lot of extra money as we had to drive to another ferry port. Didn’t appreciate the miscommunication from the staff.

Amazing hostel experience! The staff went above and beyond, organizing a birthday cake surprise for me with my partner. They’re incredibly friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of choice. The hostel is beautiful, with a pool, relaxing spaces, games, and a fun bar. Great location; a peaceful yet just a short walk to the center.

Waren einen Tag/Nacht im „gelben Zimmer“. Saubere Sanitäranlagen. Pool in Barnähe und weiteren Aktivitäten (Dart, Beerpong, usw.). Nettes Personal, welches das Frühstück frisch nach Wunsch zubereitet. Wasserspender 24/7 zugänglich. Netter Garten im Innenhof zwischen den Zimmern.

My partner and I loved this hostel!! Everyone who worked there was so kind. The location is perfect, only 8min walk to main area and it’s a nice stroll. Hostel feels safe, clean, and the breakfast is nice. I would definitely stay here again! Also the pool/garden area was nice to relax in.

Great place to stay at Moalboal, located in a super quiet area but still walking distance from Moalboal hangout areas. Good swimming pool to chill out. Great breakfast included in the room rates. And last but not least, very friendly and helpful staff.

Thank you so much for having us !! Hostel is very good value - free breakfast was so nice, and they upgraded our room for free. It’s not a super social party hostel but super nice if you want chill vibes. Pool is also really nice. Less than a 10 min walk from town and felt safe to walk it at night. Would deffo recommend for a chill stay in moalboal 😍🤩🙏🙏

Overall, the property was really nice. It was especially nice to have the pool, which was kept so clean. The staff were really friendly and the free breakfast was a nice touch too! However, we had no hot water the entire 3 nights we were there and each day, the water completely stopped working so we couldn’t shower, flush the toilet or wash our hands at certain points. Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend!

May May and Rochan go the extra to help with any detail. Will stay again and recommend, thanks girls.

Everything was good. Comfortable bed with light, socket, curtains and a locker. Hot water. Very sociable, met lots of other solo travelers . Big pancakes or eggs for breakfast. Nothing to complain about, would stay again.

Very affordable private room with a comfortable bed and a shower with hot water. Free breakfast was a great bonus. Staff are helpful in organising activities and transport. Would stay again :)
