SamS VIP Hostel San Gil

Hostel was fine but there was no atmosphere or whatsoever. A dead zone on newyears eve. Left after a night, also because our room was on the street side and the music from outside never stopped.

The best next to mine hadn’t been cleaned the whole time I was there even though there was no one sleeping there. Had a dirty towel on it the whole time

They recommended me a person (guide) who stole my momey and didnt show up for my trekk. I complained and they said it wss my responsabklity. But I dont think so as they are responsible for who they give their contacts to. Specialy if they are bad people. I will never gobto this hostel. They were even rude with me.

I struggled with San Gil and the exhaust fumes after a week in Salento. I didn’t feel awfully welcome at the hostel and the top bunk beds don’t have barriers so you feel like you’re going to fall out of bed. I bought a lock from reception for the locker that didn’t fit. I had booked two nights and stayed for one.

O staff foi excelente, sempre prontos a ajudar. Um agradecimento especial ao staff do turno da manhã e da tarde (não me recordo dos vossos nomes desculpem). Disponibilizam toalhas e tem serviço de lavandaria. Há café, mas não há água potável. A meu ver deviam comprar um filtro. O ambiente é muito agradável, tem piscina e sauna. Tudo sempre muito limpo e arrumado. Nos dormitórios as camas deveriam ter umas cortinas para garantir mais privacidade.

very nice staffstaff, very helpful for any questions and can make it work even if you dont speak much spanish. dorms arent the best but only for sleeping and the other common areas make up for this. kitchen is well equipped although the fridges arent the best. good tour information and help with planning and busses. i would stay here again if i went back

Das Hostel liegt direkt am Hauptplatz. Das ist einerseits positiv, aber man sollte wissen dass in San Gil ein schrecklicher Verkehr herrscht. Deshalb kann es frühmorgens bereits recht laut werden. Andererseits liegt das Hotel bestimmt im schönsten Teil San Gils. Von den Einrichtungen her, hat es alles was man so benötigt.

Muy buena atención. buena ubicación cerca a restaurantes y bares. Tiene una terraza y piscina muy agradable

I had the private room, it was good. The staff are nice, and the location is great. However, we picked this hostel for the atmosphere, but there wasn't anyone else staying in the hostel while we were there so there wasn't any opportunity to socialize.

Big room with AC and comfortable bed, nice roof top pool and in total tree terraces with nice views. Kitchen could be better equiped. Our bathroom was quite old. In general some renovation and more interest for the detail would make to place better.

It has a nice terrace and seating area with tv. Wifi is good. It is located right in center of town overlooking park with gorgeous view. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby. It is a five minute walk from the busstation. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The kitchen is nice and has free koffie in the morning. The hostal also has a pool and sauna area. The bathrooms are very clean. This is the most comfortable hostel I’ve stayed at.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! 100% recommend if you visit San Gil. We plan to stay at least another week because of how nice it is -Staff is great, especially Amanda! -Good WiFi -Perfect location in the center of town overlooking the park with gorgeous view! -Pool and sauna -Hot water and soap in bathroom -Get complimentary towel and soap bar -Lots of storage in dorm room. Light and charging outlet at each bed -Has two kitchens, both clean with every appliance you need -Free morning coffee

Staff were friendly and helpful helping us book tours. Unfortunately we were unwell when we were here but the staff were really accommodating and helped us rearrange our activities

I had a really good stay in the hostel. The employees are really nice. I enjoyed the pool really much. I would always come back

Really an underrated place! i was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the facilities and spaces were. Amazing location overlooking the park and next to the market. Highly recommend!

Très bon accueil dans cet hostel sur la place centrale ! Bien sécurisée aussi ! On a pu faire différentes excursions proposé par l’hôtel comme le parapente par exemple. Très à l’écoute ! Merci pour ces 2 nuits !

Loved my stay here! Very chill. Not too many people to meet, but I was lucky to meet some good people to hang out with

I stayed at Sam’s VIP hostel for 1 night and decided to extend it because everyone was so friendly and there’s so much to do in San Gil!! Sam himself is extremely kind and helpful along with his receptionists. The recommended all kinds of activities and even booked me a moto taxi when I was in a rush. The hostel itself is huge and has beautiful views of both the city and the mountains from the pool. It also has a great classical guitar that I played every night. I can’t recommend here eno...

great beds, good vibe and close to all the bars. the owner and Amatha are the loveliest people i met. they helped me to find activities to do and told me a lot about colombia. and the best of all they found my earpods!! will stay here again

Hostel très charmant, pas cher et hyper bien placé. Il y a un rooftop et une piscine avec une super vue. Sam, Amanda et Katherine ont été hyper sympathiques et ont su me donner de super conseils pour découvrir les environs

Lovely little hostel. Very friendly staff and a fantastic location right in the main square. Staff are lovely however they don’t speak much English. The pool on the back terrace is lovely after a long day. I’d recommend staying here for sure

Estuve muy satisfecho con mi estancia en este hostal. Por muy poco dinero, se puede pasar un tiempo excelente. El personal fue muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. En especial Amanda, quien fue muy simpática y siempre estuvo disponible para ayudarme cuando lo necesitaba. ¡Muy recomendable!
