Hostal Colombian Gold

Stayed here for a few days, using San Gil as a base for hiking Chicamocha Canyon. The two hosts I stayed with were very kind to me. My room was cheap, comfortable and had a lot of space in the lockers. It was nice having a kitchen available too. Would happily recommend

The bed was comfortable. Access to the 6-bed dorm is up a steep spiral staircase from the kitchen. The lights in the 6-bed dorm are on motion detectors, and go off after a short time, leaving you in the dark. The staff invented new rules after I paid. In the kitchen lives a greedy, smelly male dog that thinks a person’s leg is a female dog!

la chambre était très propre et confortable. Il y avait de l'eau chaude et un ventilateur ! Et les deux hôtes ont été aux petits soins avec nous et de très bons conseils pour visiter la région mais aussi pour poursuivre notre voyage. L'entreprise de parapente qu'ils conseillent est aussi très bien, c'était magique !

El hostal se encuentra en un lugar estrategico cerca de el terminalito, el parque central y el parque el gallineral. La atencion por parte de los dueños es excelente, son personas muy amables, nos ayudaron con todas las reservas a las actividades que queriamos realizar, a conseguir taxi y con todas las dudas que teniamos acerca del transporte y recomendaciones de las actividades. Muy recomendados, seguro que volveremos.

Perfect hostel for couples and families, in an ideal location in San Gil. We had a lovely time here.

The couple that runs the place is super friendly and helpful, very lovely people. The location was also perfect, you could walk everywhere and was very central. However the bed was very uncomfortable, tiny and hard, we didn’t get a good nights sleep at all.
