Hostel Meyerbeer Beach

I was overcharged 37€ without any explanation for a single night...

Stayed in a room for 3 nights but the 3rd night I was asked to move to another room , was told a group people bookend my room , but I booked first , my room was robbed ? That’s rude unacceptable ridiculous!!!

The good reviews are BS, dirtiest, worst experience i’ve had traveling so far. Tiny cramped group area, absolutely none of the facilities worked, im talking no lift, no laundry, no shower or working water in our room at all. The mattresses looked like an actual crime scene with how trashed they were, and felt it too, save your money go somewhere else i had high hopes and it sucked.

I was on the bottom bed and the bed above me 3 of the slates popped out and 1 completely broke which could’ve seriously injured me. My charger in my bed area didn’t work and didn’t have a place to store my phone or anything in my bed area. Staff were ok they were helpful but still quite rude as they talk quietly in French. Location is great

The hostel itself is fine, however, there was when I was booking indicated that there will be bathrooms in the room which was one of the reasons why I chose the hostel. However, it was out of service so I kept asking every day when it will be fixed and they told me every day, tomorrow. I stayed there 4 nights and the day I left the bathroom was still not possible to use :D Also at the moment be aware they are doing renovations so you will hear loads of drilling and construction from 8 am.

We weren’t aware that this hostel was partnered with an exchange school - basically all the guests were exchange students who knew each other and were not inclusive or social with others. Our bathroom toilet didn’t work for our entire stay and top bunks didn’t have proper curtains so anytime someone turned on the light, it would wake me up (and people came in to the room late often). The front staff guy was nice and helpful. Everyone else wasn’t friendly.

The lock on the door to the dorm was difficult and locked us inside the room when it was jammed a few times. The security lockers don’t actually lock despite using several different types of locks. The bathroom light is on a timer and will quickly shut off during showers. The cleaning staff opened the curtains on my bunk while I was sleeping. Convenient location, close to trains and bus stops, two blocks away from the ocean. It needs a few adjustments and would be a lovely place to stay.

Great location. Not much of a social atmosphere. Some of the male staff are more focused hitting on the female students than helping out the guess. Free breakfast is a plus.

No extra toilets or showers in common areas, which means waiting in line in your room. The bed's were very comfortable and also enough storing space in the room! Most people in the hostel are EF students so not really a hostel where you hang out to meet other travelers.

I expected a hostel with a good common area and activities but found out that most of their activities are only for students and the rest of the guests has to stay aside and just watch and wait for them to free the common areas to use it. Everything was very noisy and we couldn’t close the windows in the rooms to make it better.

Great hostel! Comfy beds with curtains. Good breakfast. Under bed lockers. Very clean. Good vibe! So close to the beach too.

Nette Mitarbeiter und super Lage. Das Badezimmer hätte noch etwas sauberer sein können, es hat wirklich schlecht gerochen. Das Frühstück war sehr klein, aber lecker und es wurde täglich sauber gemacht.

Location is great. Really close to the beach. The old city and the train station are very accessible by walk (10-15 min). The staff is very friendly. Security-wise, it's just codes to access the hostel and the main areas, while the room doors use regular keys, which sometimes makes them not close properly. Beds and curtains are nice. Overall, pretty clean, no weird smell. Lots of very underage people because of the school thing. Very small kitchen and common area. I did like it, tho felt cozy.

J’ai été à plusieurs Hostel à Nice et ce hostel est définitivement le meilleur . Tu es à 2 pas de plage , très proche de la gare. Le personnel est super à l’écoute et t’offre même des recommandations si tu en a de besoins. Le déjeuner c’est une belle attention , mais c’est pas un dej complet ( croissant , yogurt, pomme et jus d’orange ) Les chambres sont propres et super confortable et des avec des rideaux pour ta privation. Je recommande 110%

This location is totally unmatched!! I loved that there were beach towels on offer everyday, it was so convenient especially given the location. The rooms were really comfortable and updated, only minor notes was that the bathroom/en suite could’ve been cleaned more thoroughly during my stay and that there aren’t really social/going out activities here if that’s your vibe. If you’re more like me and want a comfy and convenient base to explore the South of France this is perfectttttt.

Loved this hostel! Super close to the beach & very central. Rooms were nice & clean with great bathrooms. Balcony was a plus! Kitchen & reception are a bit small; kitchen seems to be falling apart a bit & could use some work. No laundry but there is a laundromat just 30 seconds away and very affordable :) definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Nice, you won’t be disappointed!

Perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. I like that they provide breakfast in the morning. The bathroom was abit smaller than expected. I would suggest they add feminine hygiene bins, shower caddy, and towel racks in the bathroom. Also maybe a curtain to block out lights from the streets at night. I did not like that lockers in the room were not specifically assigned for each bunk bed so I ended up not having one to store my items. Generally, a great place!

If you are debating booking this, I highly suggest you do! It was my first hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and I was blown away at how easy it was: from check-in, to getting my room, to the free breakfast, and the beach is literally across the street. Ten stars from me! Best hostel in Nice.

Great hostel overall! The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and the free light breakfast was a nice bonus. It’s also conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from the train station. There was a group of students who were a bit loud in the common area, but it wasn’t a major issue. Would definitely recommend

I loved my stay here. It’s relatively small so you get to know other travelers and the staff who are super helpful. The price and location are unbeatable. No laundry in house but the place is just great

This was an alright hostel. The location was incredible, you could see the sea from the front door, but the room was a bit small and it was difficult to get into the top bunk. Overall I think it is a great option.

I loved my stay here!! Everyone was super friendly and the bedding was comfortable. Just be sure to bring good earplugs, the street can be pretty noisy throughout the night
