Obwohl man für das Geld nicht viel erwarten kann und man an gewissen Orten in den Philippinen mit den Vorstellungen runter schrauben muss, war das Hostel sehr schmutzig. Das Zweierzimmer ist sehr klein. Man hat kaum Platz für zwei Rucksäcke. Im Bett hatten wir Ameisen und andere Tiere, die uns verstochen haben. Das Bad ist sehr schmutzig. Zudem hat man keinen Aufenthalsbereich oder ähnliches. Selbst für diesen Preis würden wir es nicht weiterempfehlen.
Although you can't expect much for the money and you have to screw down the imagination in certain places in the Philippines, the hostel was very dirty. The double room is very small. You barely have room for two backpacks. In the bed we had ants and other animals that stomped on us. The bathroom is very dirty. Also you don't have a living area or anything like that. Even for that price we wouldn't recommend it.
I was surprised to see the dirtiest hostel bathroom in my entire 4 months of south east asia. The toilet has not been cleaned for weeks or even months. You could see and smell that. Spiderwebs in the bathroom. The shower head was broken and had no water pressure. Also, the beds are really shaky and there is no Wi-Fi in the room. No common space, so basically no social atmosphere other than speaking to people in the dorm. AC worked well and the staff is very friendly, tho.
The family that runs the hostel is so nice and friendly! The beds are comfortable but they wobble a little, especially in the top bunk. There are no curtains or outlets in some beds. The bathroom needs updates, but all was clean. No towels, you need to pay for one if you need. They have a small kitchen and fridge you can use as well as free water.
Sehr saubere Unterkunft und super liebes Personal, uns wurde geholfen wo man uns nur helfen konnte. Nachts war es leider sehr sehr laut, weil 2 Grundstücke weiter die sicherlich 20 Hunde nicht aufhören zu bellen. Zudem sehr viele laute Roller, die an der Unterkunft vorbei fahren. Also definitiv Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen. Zudem existierte leider der Platz mit Sitzgelegenheiten und Hängematten, der auf den Fotos der Unterkunft beworben wurden, nicht. Alles in allem für den Preis aber in Ordnung.
Very clean accommodation and super lovely staff, we were helped wherever we could get help. at night it was unfortunately very, very loud, because 2 Grundstücke further the 20 Dogs certainly don't stop ringing. also very many loud Rollers, who drive by the accommodation. also definitely Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen. also there was a leader of the Platz with seating and hanging mats, which were advertised on the photos of the accommodation, nein. all in all for the price but in Ordnung.
They made a mistake with the reservation and didn’t have the dorms we reserved but the staff did everything they could for us to feel at home. Nice and helpful staff :)

Sehr nette Gastgeberinnen. Einfache Unterkunft - was natürlich der Lage auf einer Insel geschuldet ist. Privatzimmer sind Basthütten Tür an Tür mit der Rezeption. WLAN schlecht. Dusche kalt und kaum Wasserdruck - de facto bucket shower. Man trifft Menschen und es gibt einen Gemeinschaftsbereich. Insgesamt einfach aber gut für den Preis. Würde wieder bleiben :)

Shower kalt und kaum Wasserdruck - de facto bucket shower. Man mefft Menschen und es gibt einen Gemeinschaftsbereich. Overall simple but good for the price. Would stay again :)
Very nice owners! They like to talk to you and even invite you to eat with them. Only not so nice thing is the bathroom, could be cleaner.
Good hostel in Malapascua! Staff is super kindly and helpful! Dormitory room is very simple but is good and the bed is comfortable! The shower don’t have a pressure and bathroom in the room is always full of water and not good! But i think that this is a good hostel for stay in Malapascua :)
Basic hostel that covers all your needs. The dorms are basic, with comfy beds, A/C and a bathroom. Water pressure of the shower was low and there’s no WiFi in the room - neither internet data, so if you want to use your phone you have to go outside. The ladies running the place were very kind and sweet to me, and kept everything very clean. The location is not bad, just 5’ walk from the diving centers and the beach.

Beautiful stay at Lionfish. Super comfortable and truly felt like home. Rebecca and Joy-ann, the staff, are so lovely and friendly. A home away from home!

Amazing atmosphere! The place is managed by two lovely girls, sweet and smiling! It’s located close to the Mercado (the food is the best!) and to the port. Malapascua is a small island so everything is close. Recommend it!
Best hostel ever :) Rebecca and Joy are amazing hosts, the rooms are clean, the shower works really good, there’s a nice common terrace to meet other travelers, the vibe is really awesome! Also book your diving with the shop they recommend, dive nation, amazing dive masters and really good equipment Love you girls, see you again soon :)
I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again if in Malapascua. It’s basic but very cheap so didn’t mind. No atmosphere but that’s because it’s a dive area so 90% of people are up at 5/6am most days which is to be expected. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Great hostel, peaceful, clean room & bathroom, comfy bed, absolutely amazing staff. I booked for 2 nights but extended almost for a week.

Very good for the price! Only thing is no curtains between the bunk beds but we didn’t mind! Enough showers and toilets and they together with the room was cleaned everyday. Staff is super kind and really make you feel at home! Laundry next door for good price and you can tap drink water which is a nice service! Definitely recommend :)
Sehr süßes Hostel und unglaublich freundliches Personal. Das einzige was man verbessern könnte ist das Wlan, was leider sehr langsam war. Ich würde aber jederzeit wiederkommen und hab mich sehr willkommen gefühlt.
Very sweet hostel and incredibly friendly staff. the only thing that could be improved is the WLAN, which unfortunately was very slow. but i would always come back and felt very welcome.
Génial ! J’ai pris une chambre solo pour 5 nuits et c’était niquel, hyper bien placé, Joy est adorable, vraiment top top j’ai très bien dormi dans ma petite cabane 🫶🏻

Everyone was really nice with me, they take care a lot of your staying. Good common area, very nice spot, 4/5 minutes walk from the beach. Recommended :)

Loved this place. Amazing price for a spacious bamboo hut, well located in the middle of the island. But Joy and Rebecca were the ones who made it a great stay. They were super friendly and incredibly helpful with tips around the island. Had to extend a day since a storm cancelled the ferries, but I was happy to stay there another night!
Comfortable beds and very reasonable. Missing curtains but everything else is perfect. They are building a patio with chairs for social area.
