Hacienda Venecia Hostel

Hacienda Venecia es una propiedad hermosa y las personas que conocí en el hostal fueron encantadoras. Llegar desde Manizales en transporte público fue complicado porque el personal no respondió mucho por WhatsApp y la vía estaba cerrada por un accidente. El tour de aves por la mañana fue excelente y muy tranquilo. Sin embargo, parece que se da más atención a los huéspedes de la Casa Principal o el Coffee Lodge que a quienes se alojan en el hostal, y el desayuno y las actividades son caro...

It’s an experience

Great to get rest and do the tours. Coffeetour was great. Pls bring ur own groceries or u have to rely on their supermarket which is more expensive, also the lunch was 48k pesos. I got sick with 39 degree fever after I arrived, and when I asked for a bit of honey which I had during the breakfast for my sore throat the first answer was no, although there are no supermarkets and farmacies around. Later i asked again and received it. Wanted to stay longer but I left. Some staff seems unmotivated.

Very nice place, take time and spend a few nights

Me fui antes porque es demasiado lejos de la ruta para ir a Manizales y no siempre hay disponibilidad para que te lleven. Estas obligado a permancer ahí hasta que haya vehículos que te alcancen. Eso no se aclara y es importante.

We had a very good stay at the Hacienda Venecia hostel. A lot of things to do and a very helpful staff in a beautiful environment.

A clean and comfortable stay. The hostel is an opportunity to stay on a peaceful coffee plantation on a budget. There are short walks and bird life in the area, as well as coffee / chocolate / rum tours. It's a fair way out of Manizales, the Hacienda can arrange pick ups from the main road if coming by bus. There is a small pantry on site with fruit, veg and frozen meats for making your own meals, otherwise a very good pizza can also be made. Alternatively meals can be eaten at the lodge nearby.

Beautiful facilities, good food and very informative tours making it an overall excellent stay. The road to get there is not in too good a shape so you should plan to arrive by car. Once you arrive, you will find yourself in a lovely, natural landscape. All three houses are really nice and offer good value.

Endroit magnifique à tous égards. J'en étais à mon 3e séjour, et ce ne sera pas le dernier. La Hacienda Venecia est un peu un microcosme de la Colombie: des gens hyper gentils, beaucoup de chaleur humaine, beaucoup de classe sans prétention, grande variété et rapport qualité/prix imbattable.

It’s an experience

Le lieu est lagnifique, en plrine nature et finalement il est tres facile de se rendre a Manizales ou Pereira. Une pause tres agreable avec mon fils de 13 ans qui a aussi ete ravi.

Beautiful place! Be aware that its in the middle of nowhere, only go if you’re interested in being in nature and the tours that the place offers. This was the best place to see all kinds of birds. Also I would recommend to bring some food to cook, their “supermarket” is pretty expensive without many options. Going to the pool of the coffee lodge was nice…

Great hostel with beautiful garden for birdwatching and very well set up dorm rooms. Highly recommend if you want to relax in nature far away from roads for a few days

My definition of Paradise: Nature at its best; fine helpful people; succulent food; impeccable cleanest; more birds than engines; friendly atmosphere... My second stay here, and not my last.

A beautiful hostal part of the coffee farm. I stayed in the spacious 8bed dorm with extra large locker, curtains and reading light. Bring your own food if you wish to cook as small shop is without fresh fruit/veg. Hot showers were lovely. A beautiful garden setting with bird stand and fresh fruit to encourage their visit. Self Walks and tours on offer. It’s a lovely relaxing time out of the city

Eine genial äe Auszeit in wunderschöner Natur. Man kann wandern und an Aktivitäten teilnehmen. Auf alle Fälle für ein paar Nächte genial

Definitely best hostel I have ever been, the view is amazing!

Wonderful place to discover coffee and chill. The farm is big so you can explore it on your free time. Many activities to do and friendly staff.

L’accès n’est pas de toute facilité, mais quand nous venons dans une hacienda, nous savons pourquoi ! Le service et les activités proposées étaient largement la hauteur de nos attentes et de la découverte du fonctionnement de l’hacienda. Les lieux était propre et le cadre était exceptionnel. C’est vraiment l’endroit idéal pour allier immersion dans la culture du café et dans le confort. Petite note particulière pour la présentation que nous avons eu sur le rhum !!

A lovely place for a little get-away in nature! The staff is lovely, you‘re surrounded by nature, and the use of the facilities of the hotel is great too! Highly recommend for a couple of nights in nature!

Me encantó mi estadía, un lugar lejos de la ciudad para descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. El tour de café 10/10 se nota el amor que le ponen a todo. El personal muy atento y amable. Volveré 🤗

The absolute best place to stay for anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere and for those working online!! Hammocks, waking up to birdsong every day, relaxing at the pool and lots of hikes with fruit trees. Comfortable and spacious dorms, an emphasis on privacy and safety, and great coffee. I stayed here for 7 weeks, and the farm has a big part of my heart. Jaun Pablo, Juanda, Blanca, Leidy, Ale, Santi, Ramiro, Sonya, Fernando and Natalia, thank you for welcoming me into your family.
