Sultan Hostel

I had booked a smaller private room with a bathroom. The first night there was so much rain that the window started leaking. The staff were very fast to react and tried to find a solution. They moved me to a bigger room without any additional charges. I stayed there for the remainder of my visit to Istanbul. I had also a very pleasant conversation with the owner. He is a very kind man who will try and help you out with whatever problem you have. He goes above and beyond the needs of his guests...

Nice place with great location. Convenient price. Good breakfast. Cons: There are no common areas to chill. No kitchen available to cook. The six beds room doesn't have any lockers or place to keep the stuff so everyone's belongings are spread on the floor.

This is a well located guest house. Beds are really comfy and the place is clean. Some of the staff are helpful- guys on reception. Others not so much. The downside is it is as a hostel I expected a kitchen and the lack of one was a disadvantage The breakfast is meagre and doesn’t cater for vegans

Ouderwets, vergaan maar proper. Geen onderhoud kamers. Verwarming laat te wensen over.

Centrally located, friendly staff, clean, and well-priced!

The hostel is located 5 min walking from the main landmarks , the beds are comfortable and clean. The dorms are not locked which made me feel a little unsafe about leaving all my stuff in the room.The staff from the kitchen could be friendlier I felt they were bothered when I asked if I could use their fridge to keep some things. The internet sometimes did not work quiet well.

So nettes Personal! Als ich das Zimmer wechseln wollte, weil in meinem Schlafsaal unfreundliche Personen waren, wurde mir sofort und ohne Probleme geholfen. Ich konnte dann in ein sehr geräumiges und schönes Einzelzimmer für einen kleinen Preis umziehen.

No kitchen. Rooms super stuffy and damp. Common area run down and unkept. Staff at breakfast not friendly nor helpful. Entire place needs a clean and remodel. Some guests were older dudes who stayed there long term and were creepy. Terrace could use some chairs.

The Sultan is clean, comfortable and very close to Sultanahmet. I would stay there again. But, the breakfast is a bit mean, who gives quarter if a cherry tomato? The area where we eat breakfast could be a lovely social area which would be a huge asset. Finally the staff are excellent, cleaner, breakfast servers and reception, all helpful and cheerful.

Very well managed, theres always a receptionist, its clean has air-conditioning, close to tourist attractions, good price.

Un bon petit hôtel à quelques minutes à pied de Sainte Sophie. Pas loin des transports. Patron et personnel super sympathique sauf le réceptionniste de nuit. Je sais où poser mes valises lorsque j’irais à Istanbul.

Auberge de jeunesse très bien située dans le centre proche des commodités et des sites touristiques (mosquée bleue, sainte Sophie, Topkapi palace). Le petit déjeuner servi est tout à fait correct. Le personnel est sympathique. Flexible sur les heures de départ. Nous avons également pu déposer nos sacs pour la journée afin d’éviter de les porter. Le seul point noir restant sans doute la propreté des sanitaires (pas de nettoyage pendant plusieurs jours).

Ubicado en un lugar 1000 turístico, cerca de la costa, desayuno bueno, solo que no contaba con ningún servicio como agua caliente para al menos un té. no sé si diariamente habrán limpiado el baño.

Maurice Fue muy Amable y Atento en toda mi estadía ., me orientó en todos los recorridos ., me ayudó con el Metro y todos los transportes incluido Careem que se usa mucho es como un Uber…. Super bueno y me pareció correcto el precio … Gracias Maurice por toda tu Atención Un Saludo Victor 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸

Great location close to all the main sights in Istanbul. The breakfast was also really good. I would definitely stay here again.

The air conditioner did not work, the power turned off constantly and it was very hot.

Perfect location. Mere blocks from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, etc. The staff were gracious, helpful, endearing. Good, standard price for hostels in the area. Easily worth it. Wonderfully clean and comfortable. The atmosphere inside the hostel is very clean and comfortable, but its good to know ahead of time its design is "vertical" -- not really a communal place to hang-out, unless you're in your room (the rooms are very clean, comfortable, with big breezy windows. Very nice.

The place has a fantastic location and facilities are good. The only problem is a bit noisy in the night time and there was bed bugs.

The Good: Staff was friendly and worked with me when I arrived 2 days late due to cancelled flights. Hot water was excellent. The not so good: It's very loud on weekend nights, and some nights during the week. When I walked in, it looked like a construction zone, because it was. They painted while I was there, and the fumes were pretty strong. No place for me to do yoga or stretch. Rooms are very small and have no air movement; they got very sticky and stuffy in the small rooms with farters.
