Istanbul Harmony Hostel

The location is great but so is the location of the gutter near to Sultan ahmet. The bathroom stinks like hell. The rooms are hot like hell. No air conditioning. Noise from thundering doors to open the form room and toilet keeps you awake all night. The rooftop bar is a party place open until 2 in the morning. Not sure who is giving such high ratings to this place.

Having stayed at this hostel multiple times, it's unfortunate that I now have to leave a negative review. I recently had a bad experience with the hostel staff removing my belongings (2 pairs of shoes) during the duration of my stay. I was informed the reason for this was, and I quite, "because it looked old." The hostel has many positives to offer, however, the showers, the overpriced bar, the staff at reception and the owner himself, has left a bitter aftertaste. Take caution.

There’s no harmony here. What an actual s*******. Filthy bathrooms that don’t drain. Disgusting kitchen. Beds are small and break easily. 0 atmosphere. At least it’s close to stuff

Stayed here for three nights. To be honest, this is the worst hostel I have stayed. The AC does not work in the summer at the degree of 30 Celsius, so window should be left in open. Worst is that ten beds shared only one weak fan. The tramway is just next toe the accommodation. The open window makes the noise unable to be decrease. The tramway work from 6am to 12pm. That means you only have 6 queue hours for sleep in such a hot environment. Words limit, pls check review on google ma...

The room always remains open. There is no key with a lock. Entry is through a souvenir shop that is open 24 hours a day. Anyone can enter from the street. It's dirty to the level of disgusting, is worse than a public bathroom. We left in search of another accommodation. When we returned for the luggage, someone took one of our suitcases and take the bed. Drunk people drinking in the room late. We left because we were afraid, we preferred to lose the money. You shouldn't have it on your page!

I promised the owner Nedim to give him honest review. After dealing with drunk owner, verbally aggressive, uncertain about his reaction I would say No I wouldn't recommend that place because I do not support this kind of behaviour. He tried to convince me to write excellent review before end of stay and that what happened when I said I will do it after - uncontrolled, out of order reaction I would never tolerate. Do not stay and if you do,be sure you will give review after you leave. Stay safe...

Think the place is under new ownership, the reviews are good but the place is completely run down and unclean and disgusting

The room was stuffy. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine and mold. There’s no kitchen for cooking. The Wi-Fi is only moderately good. The drink prices at the rooftop bar are rather high. I would not stay here a second time.

Instalação péssima, banheiro muito ruim, sem cobertor, box do banheiro quebrado. Chuveiro sai pouca água. Passa um trem a cada 4 minutos na frente, fazendo um barulho insuportável.

Bastante sucio, falto de servicios, toallas sucias, aire acondicionado con dos modos: Polo Norte o Sáhara. Mínima sábana, entraba mucha luz por las ventanas. No dejan champú ni gel. La tele no funcionaba. No recomendado.

O hostel é simples mas muito bem localizado. O quarto e o banheiro eram sempre limpos e a toalhas sempre eram trocadas. O Barik (eu nao sei como escreve o nome dele) foi muito prestativo e querido conosco.

Harmony hostel was fantastic the owner was so friendly and helpful with things to do while you stay and they have a nice little rooftop bar to enjoy drinks I highly recommend and great prices as well!!

This Hostel was soooo nice ! I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was very nice, outgoing, friendly and helpful. I had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend it. Locking door and lockers are good. My only suggestion would be to fix a bit the door at the bar upstairs that doesn’t close (can be cold), the shower in the shared bathroom ( ladies room) would also need to get a door and fix the CMV. Same for the kitchen, which is not really useable right now. Thanks for all !!

Très bon hotel, excellente localisation et personnel super accueillant !

This was a last minute booking because my original booking fell through at 10pm. I liked that it the bed are not bunk beds and the space is big. There's an ensuite room so only the people in the room are allowed to use the bathroom. I ended up extending my stay, the location is central and the staff are friendly. And the rooftop as a nice view. Thank you for the stay

The location, the price, the rooms and the staff are a 10/10. It is comfortable and will have you extending your stay over and over, the rooms are big enough that you can actually make it your home base. The only let down is the owner asking you to write a review every time you bump into him 😂🙏 so maybe start with a review and then enjoy your stay at this venue where the other staff is kind, friendly and helpful. I have been here for over a week and will probably stay longer! Bless!

The place has a lot of potential! However, it would really benefit from a few fixes: e.g. windows and curtains that don’t fully close, loose faucets etc. The bar could be a great place to meet other travelers if the drinks were a bit more affordable

Excelente lugar. Realmente muy predispuestos a ayudar. Gente muy agradable y el lugar es cómodo.

The hostel is a bit old. But I liked it there very much. The staff was really hospitable and helpful. The room was clean. All sights are in walking distance. You have a nice view from the rooftop. Good hostel if you're on a budget and wanna do sightseeing.

Ein wirklich gutes Hostel als Basis für jeden Istanbul Besuch. Die Lage ist super, die Verkehrsanbindung zum Flughafen ist toll und man kann alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig erreichen. Die Dachterasse ist ein Highlight und das Personal ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Danke für alles Bright 🙌🏻 ich hatte eine tolle Zeit

I had an awesome, relaxing time at the Harmony.The staff are so chill and very accommodating.I'll definitely be going back the next time I pass through the beautiful city of Istanbul.

The rooftop terrace is amazing!

Amzing staff, Bright and Elisabeth were very friendly, gave us the best advice where to eat, what to see, 24/7 reception and security, the best part about the hostel was the location which could not be any better! Metro station right around the corner, Topkapi and Hagia Sophia are just a 5 min walk away! Would absolutely stay there again!

The staff are very friendly and it's in a great location, but you definitely get what you pay for since it's a lower price it's a tired building, relatively clean. If you are looking for a place to just sleep then it does the job. Overall a positive experience because if the staff but definitely more for travellers on a budget.

It’s was pretty safe and close to the main attractions with a great staff especially Bright and Anwar, they helped me with a lot of stuff and gave me great advice on what to do here!

Ubicación inmejorable

One of the best places I’ve stayed at since I started travelling. The staff were great and helpful and the terrace was amazing with a really sick view. I highly recommend it to travelers looking for a chill spot.
