Hammoc hostel really felt like home: laid-back, both staff & guests are welcoming & friendly, easygoing. It was quite clean and they really take it seriously. As May is super hot, they made sure the space is cooled down with huge fans in common area, and AC in dorms. Common area is amazing too: board games, variety of seats, aaand hammock! There is even a projector on the 2nd floor for movie time. Govind & Arjun, the staff, were really really helpful! Thank you guys! Definitely recommend!
Every morning, I enjoyed a great experience here with protein, eggs, bananas, and hot tea. The staff’s service was also very warm and excellent.
Good atmosphere and easy to get in touch with people. They also offer great events to get to know the other guests.
The area the hostel is located isnt the nicest but inside the hostel was great. Free breakfast was a nice addition, the masala chai was great. Had a little trouble getting tuktuks to find the place, but uber worked fine
The hostel is a nice place to stay and is generally clean, the girls dormitory could benefit from being cleaned a little more regularly. The staff were friendly and helpful, at times it was difficult to understand their English. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, though it wasn’t very lively during my stay despite events being announced. Also, the listing mentioned that breakfast was included with the bed, but I did not see any breakfast available during the advertised hours.
I only spent a night there but I wish I had more. It's professionally run and has a nice social area. What more to wish for?
It’s a good hostel. Not amazing, but it’s fine. There’s not a lot of options in Mumbai. It’s far from the nearest metro station but Bandra is a good location. Would stay again.
Bit of a bizarre and bad experience here. I won’t come back. I extended my stay in the morning and while I was naked in bed at 11.30pm, the hostel worker wrenched open my curtain without warning and demanded that I pay on the spot, waking everyone in the room up. Location was in a dodgy area next to a fish market, so there was a constant smell of rotting fish in the property. Lots of local digital nomads clogging up the common area, but there were a reasonable number of travellers to meet.
Had an amazing time. The vibe is really good and I ended up meeting some great people during my stay. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Special shoutout to Arjun and the rest of the team for taking such good care of us. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a fun and social hostel experience.
Had a great time here for Holi. Staff were very generous for the Holi party they hosted!!
Worst staff - completely unresponsive
Hostel in a nice area, on a side street. Staff was a bit confusing, you never really knew who was working and when asked more info about Mumbai and tours we didn’t really get any answers 😅 Hostel facilities not the best and the toilets/showers were very small and had an interesting smell.. kitchen was not in the best condition either. Beds pretty comfy and with curtains. Breakfast simple but nice that it’s for free like the chai :)
Auberge sympa à bandra, propose des activités sympa, le métro se trouve à 15min en tuktuk. Le seul bémols a été que je n’ai pas eu d’eau chaude durant mon séjour.
Loved this Hostel. So clean and big kitchen, big chill out area. Best Place to stay in Mumbai.
comfy and private beds in the dorms with lovely common areas and a sociable vibe! really good location as well
Really good hostel good location, Highly recommended, good social space and staff are really good, Mahendra at the front helped with everything I needed, great service if your in Mumbai pop down
This was my favourite hostel in India! Great crowd of people definitely made the difference! Staff were super kind and helpful. Place was always clean! Location was great!
Great staff, facilities, super clean and comfortable dorms and common areas. The perfect place to meet fellow travelers. Would stay again :)
This hostel is amazing, it is in the best part of town. The owner is so nice, and the staff aswell. They organize tours and events for the guests, clean each bathroom 3 times a day, and are truly great hosts. This hostel is the place to be in Mumbai.
The staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming and was trying to manipulate me for giving my whatsapp and refused to give me room until I did. The place was dirty in the middle of slums and inside had no proper bathroom or shower. The environment felt like a prison than a social place. The cafeteria was so far apart everyone wanted to be by themselves no talk. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly environment. Not recommended to stay.
