Dreamyard Udaipur

The staff was rude, and didnt let us visit rooftop and said either stay in room or get out.

The room is not as in the pictures, the backpacks cannot fit into the lockers and it is not well maintained. The bathroom is very dirty and so is the room, which would need a renovation. We even found a crocoache in the bed during the night… Fan is very noisy and make it difficult to sleep, together with the noise of impolite people. Taxi services very expensive and we found the door locked when we tried to get out to the airport early in the morning… Staff is nice and athmosphere is cool...

not bad, not good

DO NOT STAY IN THE STANDARD ROOM. Other than the bedroom the hostel is great. the bedroom has no AC, fan doesn't work, it's over the front Street where dogs fight all night. we both didn't sleep a wink for the first night and then paid to move. The rooftop is amazing, they have water dispenser, scooter tour was ok, location perfect, staff good. Can't fault other than the standard room.

We were really excited for our stay at Dreamyard as from the pictures the room looked big and beautifully decorated, and it was very expensive for India. However, when we arrived we felt disappointed that the room was very run down, with no nice decoration, walls that needed painting, and lights that didn't work. The staff were very apologetic and moved us to a new (slightly better) room. We also got a discount on our stay and food. The response was good but the rooms need serious improvement.

I stayed in this hostel in 2017 when it was called Bunkyard and it was great, returned this year and it’s now got new owners. It’s sadly not as good as before. I stayed in a female only dorm and it wasn’t possible to lock or shut the door properly so didn’t feel particularly safe. The beds were creaky and wobbly. Every night near the hotel there was incredibly loud kareoke from one of the bars which went on until nearly midnight, this wasn’t there when I stayed before. Disappointing!

We arrived at the hostel at 7am but the main door was looked, ringing the bell didn't work. We had to walk around the city with our luggage for one hour waiting for the staff to wake up and open the door. The atmosphere was ok, the staff a bit cold, the room had a smell of mold and the shared bathroom was never cleaned in the two days we were there. On the other side, the view from the rooftop is amazing and I would recommend to try their food, we had one of the best Palak Paneer of our trip in ...

Dorms are not clean, bathrooms even worse. Staff not very helpful. It’s just a standard ok hostel.

The inherent drain system is stinking. Only drawback is the stinking bath room. Else very good overall.

Overall experience was good, but the size of the dormitory was small, can work on the cleanliness and the pricing.

I absolutely loved my stay at Dreamyard! The location is in the perfect place and the views from the rooftop are unreal. The staff are really helpful and attentive, and Waris (Kiwi) was a great tour guide for our sunrise tour! 5/5 stars, would recommend!

The best hostel I’ve stayed in the whole of India. Rooms were so nice - had curtains and were very clean. Staff were amazing - so friendly + welcoming! The views from hostel were insane and had a great vibe on the rooftop. Super sociable and the hostel organises events + activities. 10/10

Dreamyard Hostel was such a great experience! The beds are really comfortable, everything is super clean, and the location couldn’t be better. The hostel has a beautiful style and the views of the lake are amazing from almost everywhere. The rooftop is definitely the highlight – very chill, with a great vibe. Amazing hostel! The rooftop is the best in udaipur, spent many a night watching the sunset from here. Staff really helpful and nice bathroom.

I stayed here for more than a week. The hostel is really nice. You have a really really good view of the sunset as well as the pichola Lake. The hostel is at the walking distance from Lal Ghat (closest), Gangaur Ghat and Ambrai Ghat. The rooms are cleaned daily and they provide toilet papers as well. The hostel staff has been really good and very approachable if in case you need any help. The hostel has a rooftop where you can sit during the evening and enjoy the nice sunset. Highly recommended.

Incredible place with amazing staff. Shikhar went above and beyond to make my stay incredible, and Isabelle did a great job of creating a fun atmosphere most nights for travelers. Highly recommended

For a solo trip, Dreamyard Hostel is a great mix of comfort, location, and social experience. With people like Waris and shikar making your stay better, it feels less like a hostel and more like a temporary home.

Stop looking. You’ve found your hostel. Honestly, I wish I could give Dreamyard MORE stars. It’s a really special place and I kept extending my stay. The vibe is amazing. Rooftop is stellar. Food is delicious. The staff is like family. And the location is brilliant. Can’t recommend enough.

A must one, don’t ever think twice before booking. It is that good.
