Unsafe and unprofessional hostel. Staff initially refused to return my passport and check in took over an hour due to aggressive tour selling. Breakfast quality and hygiene were poor. A serious fire broke out at night caused by staff smoking on the rooftop. No instructions were given in English and guests were left scared. Emergency services arrived late and staff and neighbors threatened guests for filming. No apology was given and services were cut the next day. Avoid this place.

Very low standard of the room and the bathroom below all standards, I do not recommend it

Sketchy place, they didn't have the type of room we booked so they sent us to an hotel that was worse than the hostel. I won't recommend it

Worst hostel I have stayed in. Mattress had a massive crack down the middle with springs poking out. Showers are absolutely abismal. The whole place is extremely filthy. I would avoid this place like the plague if I were you.

This hostel operates under two names, New Everest and Sweet Hostel. When I showed up, I had to wait around an hour to check in. After the wait, I realized they overbooked me and put me in a local lodging near by. I wasn't the only one who was overbooked at the property, there were at least 9 people who were overbooked. The lodging they provided was not well maintained and it was quite dirty.

A little hard to find. One block off main street in narrow streets. Once settled in, I talked to the owner about sites to see and wanting to go back to Cairo through the White/Black desert rather than by overnight train. One of his associates has drove that route multiple times and offered to move me to his other hotel on West Bank for same price. Negotiated with driver for 3 day drive and joined 4x4 group for desert camp. More temples and ruins. It wasn't cheap as it was a private driver.

This hostel was everything I needed. A little rough around the edges but fantastic for the price and provides everything that you need. It’s within walking distance to major sites like the Luxor and Karnak temples which made organizing my itinerary really convenient. The main highlight were the staff, who were very kind. Ash and, Salah, especially, were really helpful and helped me get whatever I needed, even organizing the Luxor balloons and Valley of the kings for a very reasonable price

had a great experience. Salah was very helpful and provided the best prices for taxis and excursions. actually, i forgot my watch the day i went to aswan, and him and his team were extremely helpful in getting it back to me. they delivered it right to my hostel in aswan. they really went above and beyond and i appreciate them!

The owner made everything so easy for me. He organised a driver for the full day for Valley of the kings and the other sites on the east bank for a really fair price. Whenever I wanted to go anywhere else during the day trip I would just text the driver 20 mins before leaving. I even accidentally took his keys by mistake one day and which caused his a lot of hassle and he was so chill about it. Would recommend

Prima hostel met vriendelijk personeel. Hostel ligt centraal, en op loopafstand van restaurantjes en Luxor Temple. kamers waren prima, alleen een beetje krap, en geen plek om je tas veilig neer te zetten.

The owner is the funniest I've come across and such a nice and kind man. As a backpacker I found the place to be totally worth it, comfortable beds, decent washrooms and very affordable tours. They also have a nice terrace to chill in the evening. The best part is the location of this hostel is just 5 mins walking from luxor temple.
