Hostal Café Axi

The whole experience was very weird. When I arrived the receptionist was almost naked, then said that I didn’t have a reservation and complained about the price being too low on Hostelworld. The dorm didn’t have any doors and it did not look vedy clean.

The owner is lovely but it is his house that is in what feels like a dangerous area. Everything in the house felt dirty including my bed, I was also in a room full of builders that woke up at 430 and spoke at full volume. The owner wanted to charge me $15 instead of the £6 on the app.

Although the owner was really lovely the entire place was a mess and extremely dirty and unhygienic. Apparently although hostel world says it’s €6 a night per bed, his price is €14. Keep in mind that this is not really a backpackers stop off, the beds are filled with locals.

Aix est un hôte extraordinaire il est très accueillant et bienveillant Ancien musicien on a eu le droit à des airs de guitare le soir sur la terrasse très agréable et en plus il est très fort moment partagé au top Sont hôtel est très simple situé en pleine mangrove ce qui est rare ça change Pour le quartier pas de panique Aix est là avec vous pour vous accompagner cela peut surprendre au premier abord mais nous n’avons eu aucun problème Qualité prix je recommande

It’s a handy location if you’re getting the ferry over to Bocas. The owner was my favourite part! He took me on a tour and as I was a solo female traveler made me feel comfortable and welcome, and made sure I got to the ferry safely the next day.
