Biohostal Mindo Cloud Forest

Nicely located. Breakfast area with the humming birds is lovely. Staff are very helpful when trying to book tours.

Great place to stay if you are looking for connection to the various nature experiences in Mindo. The owners are wonderfully hospitable. The third floor doubles as a breakfast place and bird observation site. Birds pass though moving from the highlands through the valley. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good wifi. Hot water with good water pressure. Owners would most likely let you park your rig or motorcycle in the secure area next to the building. ***Stay here!***

Great location. Lovely town. Great balcony with bird feeders with hummingbirds and other interesting bird visitors.

Absolutely beautiful hostel, felt really safe here. The owner was so kind and helpful for us at all hours of the day, booking tours and helping with anything we needed, and the included breakfast was really delicious. Hummingbirds everywhere by the open sided dining room. Perfect place to stay. Was off season so not many other guests for atmosphere but did not effect our enjoyment of the hostel :) would definitely stay again

Really beautiful hostel which allows you to spot many birds, butterflies and squirrels directly from the terrace! I didn't try the breakfast because it's a bit too expensive. Not a great atmosphere when I was there (it was almost empty, but of course it always depend on the moment). In general I'd be happy to come back!

The owners were super sweet and tried to accomodate but fell short. No atmosphere. It felt like the place was shut down and I was the only one there. Some of the windows didn't lock so I didn't want to leave valuables in the room. Also, I did not enjoy the breakfast. They did provide laundry service and I got it back within 2 hrs. In the end I decided to leave a day early. I wish I had stayed at my other hostal by the river.

Unterkunft war sehr ruhig als ich dort war. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer. Das Bett war sehr sauber jedoch war das Bad zwar geputzt aber an der Decke Schimmel. Das Personal war super nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war nur ok. Leider waren die Crepes an beiden Tagen kalt als ich sie serviert bekommen habe. Die Lage ist relativ gut man kann eigentlich überall zu Fuß hinlaufen. Was schön war, war dass man Kolibris & andere Vögel vom Frühstücksraum aus beobachten konnte :)

Ein einfaches aber schönes Hostel! Das Personal ist nett und die zwei Terrassen des hostels sehr sehr schön! Außerdem gibt es eine aussenküche die relativ gut ausgestattet ist. Aufgrund des Regens gab es einmal einen strom- und Wasserausfall, was aber auch schnell behoben wurde. Das Hostel war sehr leer, wir hatten den 4er dorm für 5 Nächte für uns alleine. Also kein Hostel zum socialisen.

Auberge très charmante où on peut manger dans la salle commune ou cuiller sur les hamacs en compagnie de colibris. Bon emplacement et chambres confortables. Endroit calme et reposant. Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux!

A lovely Ecuadoran hostal, with delicious breakfasts, nice rooms, and the friendliest staff. Luis suggested some terrific hikes in the cloud forest!

Heerlijke accommodatie. Vooral de kolibries bij het ontbijt! Genieten! Kamer is fijn. De druk van het water lijkt er soms af, waardoor je weinig water krijgt. Lijkt bij de douche niet te zijn gelukkig. Er lagen nog wat haren etc op de grond. Wat ons betreft mag dat wat schoner. Keuken is klein, maar fijn!

Les hôtes sont tellement sympathiques et disponible ! Bien situé, un peu bruyant dans la ville (je crois que sauf dans la forêt on peut entendre tout ce qu’il se passe dans la ville peut importe où nous sommes) mais la vue, les colibris et les hôtes compensent !!!

The towels were plush and soft, bed firm but comfortable, the toilet seat was broken. Shower provided warm water but not particularly hot. Breakfast was very good and the birds were a delight. There is no screen on the door to the balcony so we couldn’t get air flow into the room without letting the mosquitoes inside. Close to all the town activities but not the noise.

Pros: amazing bird watching tour organized through the hostel, with Luis. Great place to chill and watch hummingbirds. Near to amenities and Main Street. Cons: lacking hot water and pressure in shower. Rooms could be updated as felt tired. No atmosphere in hostel, very empty whilst we were there.

The lady at the reception was so lovely and accommodating! Our private room was very nice and clean with a hot shower and nice view. The breakfast was also very good. If you would like a nice private room in Mindo, I would highly recommend!
