I stayed here for a week and I cannot fault the place! Virginia is an amazing host, the place is beautiful and so clean, breakfast is delicious every morning fresh, location is brilliant just a short walk to the beach with lots of cafes and shops around. Thank you so much for hosting me xx

Castaway is the perfect hostel if you want a comfortable stay in a really nice place. The beds are amazing and really cozy, the owner is amazing and super kind. I really recommend this hostel!!

Well-stocked hostel with incredibly welcoming host & adorable breakfast. Two rooms only so very small but good for a short stay!

L'hébergement était parfait pour mon séjour à Peniche. La propriétaire est tellement gentille et toujours prête à être disponible et répondre aux questions. On se sent comme à la maison dans cet auberge. Tout est très propre, le lit est confortable et offre de l'intimité. Le déjeuner est offert tous les matins par la propriétaire qui vient porter des fruits, du pain, fromage et autres. J'ai vraiment apprécié mon séjour et je recommande fortement l'endroit!

Such a lovely little stay at Castaway! Very safe and peaceful. Our host provided a wonderful breakfast spread each morning and we really enjoyed lounging in the courtyard after a day at the beach! We felt right at home:) We will definitely recommend Castaway to anyone looking to stay near Baleal Beach!

best hostel I've ever been to :)

I wish I stayed longer! I only booked 2 nights here in Peniche and had an amazing stay here. I’m travelling solo for the first time and this was such a comforting space. I felt super safe and everyone staying there was really chill. The owner, Virginia, would make breakfast each morning which was a wonderful start to the day. War wirklich gemütlich, sauber und toll :)

Das Castaway ist einfach umwerfend. Alles ist massgeschneiderte Handarbeit mit Holz. Die Liebe von Virginia zu ihrem „Baby“ findet sich in all den Details wieder. Sie hat eine Wohlfühloase geschaffen, von der man nicht mehr weg will. Ihre Gastfreundschaft ist so herzlich. Ein Riesen-Dankeschön und hoffe auf ein Wiedersehen.

Such a lovely hostel and owner. I felt really welcome there. Nice fresh and clean with a calm relaxed atmosphere. Feels like a home.

The place is really cozy and Virginia is a very sweet and attentive hostess. The atmosphere in the hostel was very nice as well. I can only recommend the Castaway :)
