More Ipanema Hostel

For £50 per a night you have to make your own bed. There is mould all over the walls in the dorm and bathroom. The AC made me ill aswell as the room smelling damp. The rooms aren’t very clean the cleaners do a quick one over. The hostel also must have plumbing issue as it smelt terrible outside. Had cold water for the whole week- do not recommend

Beware: this hostel collects positive reviews by offering discounts and free drinks. I stayed for a week and it was the worst hostel experience of my life. Some rooms are covered in mold; after a few days I got so sick I had to switch rooms in the middle of the night due to breathing issues. Hygiene is poor overall, and the humidity in the rooms needs to be addressed. On my first night, a girl threw up in her SLEEP after being given 12 shots at the bar. Staff need to act more responsibly.

Do NOT go there. All the good reviews you see are bought by offering free drinks. The photos are not how it is in real life. Very small rooms, uncomfortable beds, disgusting bathroom (mold, towel on the floor that’s rarely replaced) and you need to make your own bed (so why is a bed €50??). Stay at the overall property was ok. I stayed with the property for 2 days. At the time of check out I asked for a bill. I needed this for my travel insurance reimbursement. The staff told me they will email me but that email never arrived. They threw a lot of fuss to generate a simple invoice/bill. The generated bill had the wrong amount for day 1. I gave up trying to get them to fix it. I requested them to generate an invoice for only the 2nd day but they said they won't. Getting a simple ...

In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right – despite the fantastic location. In the 10-bed dorms, it feels like you can never get any peace and quiet, which is partly due to the layout of the rooms. You always have to open the flaps under the beds to get to your backpacks or similar items. I also didn't like that the only lounge area was the bar attached to the hostel and there were no other places to retreat to. It was good that the hostel organised some activities!

Mein Aufenthalt war ganz okay. Positiv - Lage: Super 5 min von Ipanema - Socializing: Super Negativ - Preis: Viel zu teuer für so ein Hostel. Der Preis kann schon so sein, aber da ist auch was zu erwarten dann. - SAUBERKEIT!! KAtastrophe. Ich getraute mich nicht mehr barfuss laufen. - Sehr klein, nicht wie auf den Fotos - Mitarbeiter. Kein Hallo, kein Hallo zurück. Nur wenn sie was verkaufen wollten, waren sie nett. Ansonsten angepisst ses grauens.

Il s’agit du pire hostel dans lequel j’ai sejourné au Bresil. L’emplacement est le seul point positif de cette auberge. Les chambres sont tres petites (la chambre partagée de 10 personnes ne fait pas plus de 20m2), ça sent les égouts dans les chambres, la salle de bain est toujours sale. Tres peu de rangement dans les chambres, en arrivant mon lit n’avais pas été nettoyer apres le depart du précédent resident et le lit etait couvert de sable. Enfin, le personnel de l’hotel est ...

Unfriendly staff, weird vibe and overpriced. arrived and they make you put your own bedsheets on and the woman said it's because you're in a shared dorm...And?! just pure laziness. 1 bathroom for 10 people isn't good enough and there's a lack of additional communal bathrooms. They have a weird obsession with security with bouncers checking your bags like it's a prison, couldn't even take anything I bought to my room. Rude staff and beds way too small can't even sit up probably. Try other hostels

Lugar perfecto si queres fiesta y conocer gente. El hostel organiza todos los días actividades y excursiones. Por el contrario, no tiene cocina ni heladera por si queres guardar bebidas o alimentos. La música suena fuerte hasta las 23 hs. Si preferis descansar y cocinarte, este hostel no es para vos. Mi estadía fue excelente

Really liked this hostel. The people are really great and there are many events for all different types of interests. Hikes, parties, beach, sports, helicopters, everything. This hostel attracts good clientele, for the most part young. Had an excellent time staying here and getting to celebrate my birthday on the yacht party. Thanks everyone!

Really social and lots of activities every single day. Great location near the beach and always something to do. The rooms are clean as well. Best area to stay in Rio.

Great social hostel with daily activities and most are free, which is easily the best part. However, the sleeping situation wasn't great. My 4-person mixed dorm was on the 5th floor, but the elevator stops at the 4th. The room felt very tight, and the lockers were a pain—I kept scratching myself reaching inside. The electric shower was a puzzle with four confusing handles, and the rusted key inserts made locking doors a mission. Walls are thin too.

It was an excellent location and loved it here. The social activities from hiking to football games shows you the city with safety. I was here for the Shakira concert and the team at the hostel made sure we were able to safely attend all activities. The beds are comfortable, they clean everything quite often. Ac works well, and the location feels safe overall for Rio

I chose this hostel because of the great reviews and the social vibe was definitely there, with lots of daily activities and opportunities to meet people. However, my experience was disappointing overall. My bed still had used sheets and someone else’s clothes on it when I arrived. The hostel gave me another room, which I appreciated, but the bathroom stayed dirty throughout my stay and the room smelled unpleasant all the time. Some staff were lovely, others quite unfriendly.

Highly recommend staying at More! All staff is so helpful, friendly and fun, and events were great to meet people and get to know Rio. The female dorm was lovely and spacious and overall facilities good too.

Such a great hostel. Stayed here for 10 nights on my first solo trip and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Everything was perfect at this hostel except for the sheets provided for the bed. The bed cover a pillow looked really dirty and the toilet was loose. I appreciate the fact that the cleaning ladies go up to your room everyday and clean restrooms and floor. That was a plus! The location is just right, close to the beach, restaurant and shops

Great hostel in a good location

Overall great location, the staff was amazing and very sweet and helped us with everything from early check-in to the many questions we asked. Especially Maya was so sweet, helping and smiling:) The dorms were quite dirty though, especially the bathrooms with 10 people using it every day, one cleaning a day just wasn’t enough. The beds also wasn’t the cleanest and the floor too. Overall a great stay

Heel goed hostel om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten, er worden elke dag heel veel activiteiten georganiseerd en het personeel is super behulpzaam. De kamers zijn wel heel smal.
