Je mets rarement de commentaire mais le logement et l’hôtel méritent vraiment un coup de rafraîchissement. - la fenêtre de la chambre nous est tombé dessus (au sens propre) - la porte de la sdb/WC ne fermait pas du tout et il y avait pas de loquet - il y avait du moisie dans la douche et sur le rideau de douche mais aussi dans la chambre… - aucune insonorisation intérieur ou extérieur (toute la nuit nous avons entendu la clim de l’immeuble d’en face…) - le store etait déch...

The only thing which was nice was the guy on the reception. Awful hostel. I paid 35 for one night and it was worth for 7 Euro the night

What a weird place. Firstly, the men behind the reception was making inappropriate comments. Second, the room was extremely dirty with mold on the ceiling. Very old fashioned which is not a problem necessarily but everything just looked and felt dirty. Had to stay the night here because there were no other options but left first thing in the morning.

Not Recommended BED BUGS In the middle of the night I woke up amd found a strange insect crawling up the wall. I killed it and thought nothing of it the rest of the night. A day later im covered in bite marks and after some research found out the the insect I saw was indeed a bedbug. I feel a bit double about leaving a bad review like this because the staff is friendly. But until they take care of this I can only really recommend people to stay away from this place!

Pessimo ostello, situato in una buona zona, ma sporco con le blatte in cucina e il personale veramente scortese. Pessima esperienza

sehr enge räume..matratzen unbequem und bei einem kommt der dederkern raus..verletzungsgefahr! Badraum sehr eng!! Fūr den gūnstigen preis und die super lage noch tragbar! aber länger als 2 - 3 tage nicht ertragbar!

Quarto sem condições, onde não tínhamos maneira de pendurar as toalhas de banho, nem as trocavam então estavam a cheirar a mofo. Ficamos sem água quente para tomar banho, a limpeza do quarto era inexistente. Tínhamos pastilhas coladas no chão do quarto, armários a cheirar mal. A porta da casa de banho não abria como deve de ser, tínhamos de ser duas a abrir. E em relação ao staff, nada acessível, despreocupado e nada preocupado a resolver situações desagradáveis para os clien...

Good location, but the positives end there for me. Overpriced, rooms are old, mouldy and not the best value for money. Stayed for one night only

bon séjour dans l’ensemble bien que lit peu confort, pas de verrou et porte de la sdb qui ne ferme pas un peu bruyant.. mais bien placé dans le centre de funchal et bon accueil

No suelo dejar malas puntuaciones porque jugamos con el medio de vida de la gente pero.... el personal y amigos que regentaban el hotel.... muy mal educados. La habitación era grande y cómoda pero con corrientes....

Worth what you paid for. Cleanliness could be better! Staff was very accommodating. Overall decent stay at Residencial Monaco.

I was very happy with my stay here, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very kind and helpful. The hostel is also in a great location. For budget travellers would recommend !

Hébergement très bien situé, simple, près de tout, propre et personnel très sympa ! Cuisine équipée à dispo et très propre !

It was a truly horrible experience. It was five of us, all women, we spent one night there. When we left for dinner there were two men in the lobby, possibly staff, getting drunk and watching football. When we got back around 21:30 they were still there, now completely wasted, making us feel very uncomfortable, being unfriendly and making sexist jokes. They were partying extremely loudly until about 02:00, and they smoked in the room next to us. It was creepy and overall very uncomfortable.

Spooky place! Kitchen was very clean, but remember to turn on exhaust fan, or you will be scolded! OK for 1 night-best to be super jet-lagged!

Old school, simple and clean, a bit noisy

Nie było nikogo w recepcji, gdy przeszliśmy, a komunikacja telefoniczna była bardzo trudna. Hostel był w kiepskim stanie technicznym, drzwi do toalety w zasadzie nie dało się zamknąć, drzwi szafek odpadały przy każdej próbie otwarcia, umywalka ledwo trzymała się ściany. Plus za taras.

Hostel completamente insalubre, dono do imóvel mal educado e grosso! Quarto sujo, banheiro imundo, cheio de mofo, e sujeira em todo o lugar. Além de ter insetos na cama, ao invés de um funcionário de recepcionar os próprios insetos fazem esse trabalho e continuam convosco por toda sua estadia. Não recomendo nem para minha pior inimiga!

Amazing location right in the city next to everything you need. Guy on reception very helpful kitchen working well and a coffee machine bonus if you buy your own pods. Room is extremely stuffy, needs a fan. difficult to sleep, woke up sweating. open window to feel comfort but this leaves you in view of neighbours, cockroaches (found one in the room) and mosquitos (got bitten a lot) Only 1 chair on roof no sunbeds like pictures.

Super place for a night out in funchal, close to bars, great value!

Residencial muito antiga, quartos têm o essencial! Porta para o terraço não fecha! Quarto e WC limpos e cheirosos, no entanto tapete e cortina do chuveiro em mau estado ( muito bolor). Relativamente à localização, a 5 min a pé do centro do Funchal, mas ambiente envolvente é pesado, muitos sem abrigo.. mas não tivemos nenhum problema! A equipa da residencial é simpática e acessível. Para quem quer aproveitar o dia fora e só vai ao quarto tomar banho e dormir cumpre na perfeição...

Petit hôtel, simple dans son jus, idéal pour une nuit. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Très bien situé et calme
