Hostal Los Gonzalez

We turned up to the hostel and were told that the key for our private dorm had been lost, so we had no form of security for our room. We were offered another room but there was no AC in that one. We were fortunate enough to find an air BnB a few blocks away so we stayed there instead.

J si été reçu avec une très mauvaise nouvel ma réservation n avais pas été confirmé par vous .J ai du me contacter d un seul lit de mauvaises qualité et d un prix plus élevé.Aptrs 1 heure d attente angoissante dans le lobby,après un voyage de 22 heures .Très déçu.

I had to practically fight to get a bed that was made. Also, was put in a 6 bed dorm when I reserved a 4 bed dorm. No charging port beside the bed. The common area was small and occupied by a family - don’t know who they were. And later, that area reeked of cigarette smoke. I do have a feeling that the people running the hostel, especially the lady at the reception, were nice people. Till things improve, I would stay away.

Honestly the staff was amazing, the rooms window was broken, the sheets had red stains on them, there was a guy blaring music until 3 am. Overall it’s a place to lay your head down and that’s what matters

Disappointed with the building and the general upkeep toilet seat hanging off, I was given someone’s bed to sleep in which wasn’t clean the hostel needs some TLC

Had a private room. Very clean. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Nice balcony. You must ask for locked key code to have 24 hour access to building. Common area mostly used by family running hostel not so much by travellers, very welcoming. Try the restaurant at the corner (mula terca) excellent food and great price.

Quiet scene histel, clean facilities but not much was happening for travel Community .

Small kitchen. Cleanliness was so-so. The staff were nice and very accommodating.

The staff has been incredible and helped me with many things so I could achieve my goals in Vallarta. Besides the hostel being comfortable, new, and clean, it also has all the amenities working perfectly, a great location, and an amazing traveler atmosphere. Thank you all so much I definitely recommend it as the best hostel in Vallarta !

Tiene una excelente ubicación, el personal es muy amable, las instalaciones son nuevas, muy seguro, estuvimos en el área de mujeres, solo por ser nuevo les falta limpiar el polvo de la construcción. Nos recomendaron un espectáculo de vallarta adventures, muy bueno el espectáculo. Tiene lugares de comida cercanos para todos los niveles económicos.

Nice, comfortable spot near Las Glorias, PV. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants, bars, ATM, bus stop, etc. It's a bit far from the Malecón, but a short 10 peso bus ride (20 pesos after midnight). We stayed in a private room with gorgeous view from the balcony. There's construction across the street now (January 2026), so bring your earplugs if you want to sleep in. The neighborhood is walkable and pretty quiet after dark. Get pastor tacos at the corner spot: Mula Terca!

J’avais une chambre privée et l’emplacement loins de la ville offre plus de calme et d’intégration culturelle. Personnelle gentil et accueillant, ils ne parlent pas tous anglais par contre mais on s’est débrouillé!

De verdad me encantó quedarme ahí, fue solo por una noche pero volvería a ser mi opción para quedarme.

Muy buen lugar, lo usamos solo para dormir pero la ubicación es muy buena, el personal muy amable y el lugar muy bonito y limpio

La verdad el mejor lugar donde me he quedado, si duda los anfitriones fueron excelentemente amables , realizaron uan actividad para año nuevo donde convivimos todo , cenamos y fueron bondadosos con nosotros , el.lihar es super limpio, me encantó el tema de "el chavo del 8" simplemente recomendable .... Felicidades!! Atentamente Leo

I stayed in both a private room and a dorm and felt that both rooms were clean. The check in experience with Rosa went smoothly and Felipe recommended some nice places to check out. On my last day there I became rather stressed because I lost my glasses underneath the bunk bed, but Luis was quick to save the day by helping me retrieve my glasses. Overall the hostel is located fairly close to some great spots & is a short bus ride to the center. Would recommend for travelers on a budget! Gracias
