Moustache Jodhpur

- The staff initially made urgency for me to pay in advance as there was huge rush or else they will cancel. Upon reaching there I figured out the hostel was literally empty. No vibe, no music, no proper hot water. Even the staff was rude when I got lil late to checkout though the booking counter guy was nice ans gave me 10 mins more. But inhouse staff came and said empty now. The washrooms are bad as rhere is no exhaust and the smell gets trapped in washroom for long time. The common area was filled with Uncles, aunties. Kids who would come to Baari restaurant, so cant chill there as well except late late night.

- The room where it stayed was lot smelly , there was no intercom provided in single rooms as well . My phone battery was dead and too tired to go downwards , slept somehow morning i got terrible throat infection because of smell .

+ I really liked the environment and atmosphere of the place it had a nice vibe and felt comfortable overall.

- The AC cooling was not good, and it only works between 8 PM and 8 AM, which is quite inconvenient. There were also no proper fans, which made it uncomfortable during the day. Additionally, they forcefully gave me an upper dormitory bed even though the lower beds were not booked that was disappointing.

- PLEASE DONT COME TO THIS HOSTEL it is unsafe. 1)Unsafe: I was alone in 4 droom and I was told 2 staff men will sleep in the same droom where I was living. There were other free beds where staff didn't want to go. Staff men knocked on the door at At 2AM and 3.40AM and I felt so unsafe and I bolted the room. 2) Toilet shared by 30 people- The hostel lady said the toilet is ensuite(outside of room) for 4 and 6 bedrooms but the whole hostel uses those toilets. There is no separate men and women comod so boys also piss on the same comod where I had to sit. One toilet used by 30 boys. And it is very unclean and unhygienic 3) Abusive staff: In the morning when I raised the concern that staff men forced me to sleep in the droom where I had bluntly refused Lady staff (Ms Chelseay)was supporting the staff men and said I should leave the hostel right away as I am not corporating with men staff to sleep in my droom. (If they wanted they could have slept in some other droom where beds were free but were forcing me as I was a lady and a solo travel) 4) cafetaria and Rooftop under construction: In the website it is said and even at the booking time I was told rooftop and cafeteria will be available but everything is under construction and it is not safe to go on top 5) Alcoholic and illegal drugs in hostel by guest: when I was entering my droom after the whole day outside there were 7 boys having alcohol and drugs just outside my droom and were noisy. After I raised this issue in the morning staff lady (Ms Chelseay) said where will they drink and have fun as rooftop is under construction. Though I had taken confirmation before entering the hostel in the morning that there would not be any alcohol near my room 6) I was left alone and was lost in thin streets due to staff lady Chelseay : Hostel takes on Blue City tour free of cost I had mentioned that I will join the tour and requested to share the location.

- The night staff is very ill mannered. Doesn't behave properly with females. Not safe for females.

+ It was clean compared to other hostels I have seen in Jodhpur.

- Very bad location . Front desk staff is not warm as you usually find in hostels . Most of them do not even suggest properly where to go for shopping etc . I took a private room , bathroom seats are broken in common and private bathrooms too . Pillows are very uncomfortable. Hosteller dorms has better pillows . You can hear everyone in the private room from outside. It’s quite disturbing . Location is not at all good . All other hostels are in main area. Definitely preferred .

- I didn't like it at all .. i checked in at 1 pm and they have this ridiculous policy ..that 🙄 ac doesn't work until 8 pm ... so i had to sleep in fan after paying good amount .. and location is also worst .. like its situated 3 km from the fort so everytime i had to pay like 100 or 200 to auto 🛺 ..which was really annoying.. And they also charge sgst and cgst separately which i found weird ...it feels like that the owner of the property only wants to make money .. he doesn't care about anything ... it really feels like that i have been scammed 😪

+ I stayed in a good hostel and the location there was very close, it felt like home from the city, everything was pleasant, I had fun, especially because of Ujjwal I wanted to stay in the hostel for a few more days. Shrawan and Ujjwal became very good friends. Overall good , hinghly recommend.

He gave me the best recommendations for local street food and hidden spots in the city that made my trip much more authentic. Efficiency: From a smooth check-in to ensuring all facilities were in top shape, Sarwan’s dedication to his work is truly commendable. The overall atmosphere here is social and welcoming. I highly recommend Moustache Jodhpur to anyone visiting the city, and make sure to say hi to Sarwan—he truly makes this place shine! 10/10 experience."

+ Aardig personeel, goed restaurant, fijne kamer. De Blue City free walking tour met Ujjwal was heel erg leuk!

- Om 5 uur ‘s ochtends heel veel geluid van de moskee en de hindoeïstische tempel, waardoor we elke ochtend vroeg wakker werden.

+ I had an absolutely amazing stay at moustaches The location is perfect it’s right in the heart of the blue city and super close to Mehrangarh fort fort The staff especially Ujjwal went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. The dorms were clean and secure the beds were comfortable and the common areas had a fantastic vibe for meeting other travelers I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again 🥰

+ Beautiful building with a lot of space, sitting areas, bar, restaurant, roof top terrace, … Good furniture and overall clean. Staff is very nice and polite, I liked the attitude of the waiters in particular. Live folk music on the rooftop every evening adds to the atmosphere.

- The hostel is on a very noisy street making it uncomfortable to chill or talk outside. The washrooms aren’t cleaned daily. During check-in, the staff were quite proactive in promoting activities. While they were very kind, it felt a little full-on at a time when guests are usually just trying to arrive and settle in.

+ My stay at Maustache Jodhpur was really great. The location is perfect, as it is close to the main attractions, making it easy to explore the city. The hostel has a very chill and friendly vibe, which is ideal for solo travelers. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was helpful and polite. I especially enjoyed spending time and explore Blue city walk tour with Ujjawal ji, I got to meet other travelers and have good conversations. The rooftop view was amazing, especially in the evening — you get a beautiful glimpse of Jodhpur’s blue city. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay at a budget-friendly price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Jodhpur.

+ The hostel was excellent, evrything was well organised and love the ambience and folk music on rooftop special shoutout to Ujjwal pratap he was very attentive and friendly at the same time really appreciate his work , cheers!

- Restaurant staff is passive, they always ignored customers and not really friendly also the breakfast is crazy expensive(1 Maggie 1 black tea for 288 RS is insane ) and all of their menu are not available which is crazy as well
